  Hi there. I'm trying to use XSL-stylesheets in order to transform some generated XML-data to HTML-output. The architecture that I'm using is as follows: [Client Side] Web-Browser = [Server Side: Glassfish v3] JSP-pages - Web-Services. My web service generates some XML-data, then I want to format it with XSL-stylesheet, pass the result to JSP-page and show to user. I'm using JAXP for XSL-transformations and I want to create a javax.xml.transform.stream.StreamSource object with XSL-file stream for the javax.xml.transform.Transformer object, but I'm having a difficulty with specifying the path/URL for the XSL-file. So the question is: where should I put my XSL-stylesheets in a project and how should I access them from code? I'm using Glassfish v3 and NetBeans 6.8. Thanks.

  I'm trying to expand my sons interest from Warcraft 3 programming into C++ to broaden his horizons to a degree. We are planning on porting a little game that he wrote. The context goes something like this. There are Ships and Missiles, for which Ships will use Missiles and interact with them A Container exists which will hold 'a list' of ships. A Container exists which will hold 'a list' of planets. One can apply a function over all elements in the Container (for_each) Ships and Missles can be created/destroyed at any time New objects automatically insert themselves into the proper container. It is all working when adding the flash code in code-behind but when I am trying to load it with ajax some flash banners make the complete website disappear and only shows the banner. I do realise that synchronising these will avoid the issue. Synchronisation has both a performance overhead, and more importantly, a chance to introduce deadlock.

At first I thought that all magic in that example happened because of object being placed in $error by iteration implements __toString() but it seems no iterations happens at all...

• Retrieving Gtk::Widget's relative position: get_allocation() doesn't work

  I need to retrieve the position of a Gtk::Widget relative to its parent, a Gtk::Table. Most sources (e.g. http://library.gnome.org/devel/gtk-faq/stable/x642.html) say that one needs to call Gtk::Widget::get_allocation(). However, the returned Gtk::Allocation object always contains x = -1, y = -1, width = 1, height = 1. I have to note that this happens before the Gtk::Table object is actually exposed and rendered. A call to show_all_children() or check_resize(), which I would expect to recalculate child widget geometry, doesn't help. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

  In BioPerl, a sequence object can have any number of features, and each of these can have subfeatures nested within them. For example, a feature may be a complete coding sequence of a gene, and its subfeatures might be individual exons that are concatenated to form the full coding sequence. However, when I use BioPerl to write a sequence object to a file in genbank or embl format, only the top-level features are written to the file, not the sub-features nested within the top-level features. How can I store my subfeatures in sequence files? Should I just convert all my subfeatures into top-level features, and then reconstruct the tree structure next time I read in the sequence?

• initWithCoder works, but init seems to be overwriting my objects properties?

  Hi guys, I've been trying to teach myself how to use the Archiving/Unarchiving methods of NSCoder, but I'm stumped. I have a Singleton class that I have defined with 8 NSInteger properties. I am trying to save this object to disk and then load from disk as needed. I've got the save part down and I have the load part down as well (according to NSLogs), but after my "initWithCoder:" method loads the object's properties appropriately, the "init" method runs and resets my object's properties back to zero. I'm probably missing something basic here, but would appreciate any help!   I've got a Haystack/xapian search index for django.contrib.auth.models.User. The template is simply {{object.get_full_name}} as I intend for a user to type in a name and be able to search for it. My issue is this: if I search, say, Sri (my full first name) I come up with a result for the user object pertaining to my name. However, if I search Sri Ragh - that is, my full name, and part of my last name, I get no results. How can I set Haystack up so that I can get the appropriate results for partial queries? (I essentially want it to search *Sri Ragh*, but I don't know if wildcards would actually do the trick, or how to implement them).   I have an application where I have a generic object (table) called Hull. Each hull in the table is unique. I have another object that has three hulls, but they are specifically the Port_Hull, Center_Hull and Starboard_Hull. Rather than create a One to Many relationship, I was trying to create a one to one relationship for each one, but this results in numerous errors unless I make the relationship from Hull to Vessel one to many (which it is not). Any idea how I go about this, or should I abandon the concept and make the vessel to hull relationship one to many and deal with lists that always have three entries? p.s. Using uniqueidentifiers as many users can be adding records while disconnected.
