• Python: Retrieve Image from MSSQL

  Dear All, I'm working on a Python project that retrieves an image from MSSQL. My code is able to retrieve the images successfully but with a fixed size of 63KB. if the image is greater than that size, it just brings the first 63KB from the image! • IntelliSense has forgotten my code snippets!

  Hi all I have a stack of code snippets imported into Visual Studio. Just recently, they have stopped displaying in Intellisense. If the keyboard shortcut doesn't bring up anything else on IntelliSense, then I can tab and the code snippet is inserted just fine. However, if the keyboard shortcut for the snippet happens to also bring up other items in IntelliSense, tabbing will select the first of those items, so I actually can't use the code snippet at all! Does anyone have any ideas why IntelliSense would be unable to list my code snippet shortcuts? I started using ReSharper recently, but that wouldn't be the problem surely?! • compare previous ENCRYPT() call with new ENCRYPT() call mysql

  I'm storing a string in mysql with the ENCRYPT() function. I want to fetch a row where that string is matched, but the new ENCRYPT() call gives me a different value, so they never match. This is expected as i'm not (and can't) give it a consistent salt: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/encryption-functions.html#function_encrypt If no salt argument is given, a random value is used. This is the query i'm running that returns empty: SELECT * FROM `table` WHERE ENCRYPT('string') = `enc_string` I know this is possible because this is used by a 3rd party app, but I can't find their query where they do this. Is there a way to force ENCRYPT to use the previous salt, or predict it?

This is my first time here so I hope I post this question at the right place. :) I need to build flood control for my script but I'm not good at all this datetime to time conversions with UTC and stuff. I hope you can help me out. I'm using the Google App Engine with Python. I've got a datetimeproperty at the DataStore database which should be checked if it's older than 20 seconds, then proceed. • Getting Paperclip to work in Rails

  How can I export a query result from a .sql database into a .csv file? I tried with SELECT * FROM players INTO OUTFILE 'players.csv' FIELDS TERMINATED BY ',' LINES TERMINATED BY ';';` and my .csv file is something like: p1,1,2,3 p2,1,4,5 But they are not in saparated columns, all are in 1 column. I tried to create a .csv file by myself just to try WEKA, something like: p1 1 2 3 p2 1 4 5 But WEKA recognizes p1 1 2 3 as a single attribute. So: how can I export correctly a table from a sql db to a csv file? And how can I use it with WEKA?

  I've found the setting for Camel Humps in resharper: Resharper - Options - Editor - Use CamelHumps The problem is that I would still like to be able to use the normal selection mode (i.e. the default behaviour for CTRL+Arrow and CTRL+SHIFT+Arrow) as well as the CamelHumps mode. For example consider this variable: private int MyVeryLongCamelCaseName; Now if I want to copy the entire variable then I want the VS default behaviour for CTRL+SHIFT+Left-Arrow which is to select the entire variable if the cursor is on the M. However if I want to change the name to say MyExtremelyLongCamelCaseName then I would like the CamelHumps behaviour provided by Resharper. Is there any way to have both behaviours with different shortcuts?

But when I'm trying to get data in java application it will return date with bunch of zeros instead of real time. In code it'll be like: SQLQuery sqlQuery = session.createSQLQuery("SELECT table.id, table.date FROM table"); List<Object[]> resultArray = sqlQuery.list(); Date date = (Date)resultArray[1]; If it was 26-feb-2010 17:59:16 in DB I'll get 26-feb-2010 00:00:00 How to get it with time?

  When using a nosql type datastore like Cassandra, how would you return a result set based on a column? e.g. SELECT * FROM Articles WHERE category='blah' ORDER BY datetime DESC is this something that you would store in a sql db and then pull the data from cassandra? Or can cassandra handle this type of query? (assuming millions of rows in a db) From what I understand, cassandra is great at key based lookups, confused if it can and should be used for getting a list of data back and paging that data also (and if it is highly performant)

  Hi All, I have seen lot of reviews and have not been able to figure out how I can solve my problem.. Problem: Currently we have a page to upload the file from local machine to the respositry. It is currently using Struts upload. Now the current requirment is, Since users upload around 1gb of file, they are made to wait for a long time.. So they changed the requirment to browse the file and select the file to upload and hitting upload button should return to the control to next screen imediately.. But the upload process some how needs to be pushed at the backend and should do the upload and send out an email once the upload is complete.. I'm not able to figure out how to transfer the control to next page, when the upload is still running ... any idea or help will be appreicated.. Regards, Senny

• Simple MySQL Query taking 45 seconds (Gets a record and its "latest" child record)

  I have a query which gets a customer and the latest transaction for that customer. Currently this query takes over 45 seconds for 1000 records. This is especially problematic because the script itself may need to be executed as frequently as once per minute! I believe using subqueries may be the answer, but I've had trouble constructing it to actually give me the results I need. SELECT customer.CustID, customer.leadid, customer.Email, customer.FirstName, customer.LastName, transaction.*, MAX(transaction.TransDate) AS LastTransDate FROM customer INNER JOIN transaction ON transaction.CustID = customer.CustID WHERE customer.Email = '".$email."' GROUP BY customer.CustID ORDER BY LastTransDate LIMIT 1000 I really need to get this figured out ASAP. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

• Why can't I set the Image Source in WPF app?

  I'm just learning WPF. I'm using VS 2008. I've added an Image control to my XAML, and I added a GIF file to the project. If I use the XAML Designer's property panel to set the image's Source property, the drop-down list for the Source property contains the following: C:\Sample Project;component/pinHorizontal.gif There are several problems with this: My project, named "Sample Project," is not in the root of my drive. Why is ";component" in there? If I select this value as given, I get the error "Property value is not valid" (yeah, no kidding). If I go into the XAML source and set the Source property manually, like so: The XAML Designer gives me this error: "The file pinHorizontal.gif is not part of the project or its 'Build Action' property is not set to 'Resource'." Why is this task so difficult? How do I assign an image source?

  I have a multidimensional array. The array itself is fine. My problem is that the script takes up monster amounts of memory, and since I'm running this on my MAMP install on my iBook G4, my computer freezes up.   Is there any way I can avoid using array_flip to optimize performance. I am doing a select statement from database, preparing the query and executing it and storing data as an associative array in $resultCollection and than I have array op and for each element in $resultCollection am storing its outputId in op[] as evident from the code.   Hey folks I've deployed an ASP.NET MVC app on IIS7 and Windows Server 2008. I've read posts on here, and around the web, but can't get the darn client-side caching to work. I'm trying to cache everything in the /Content folder. So far I've select that folder in IIS manager, and set the appropriate HTTP Response Headers (under Common Headers). I've also checked the web.config file in the /Content folder and the values there are being set. All resources in /Content come back with this (from FireBug): Cache-Control no-cache, no-store, must-revalidate Pragma no-cache Content-Type image/png Expires -1 Last-Modified Sun, 11 Oct 2009 19:01:40 GMT Accept-Ranges bytes Etag "f318d643a54aca1:0" Server Microsoft-IIS/7.0 X-Powered-By ASP.NET Date Sun, 11 Oct 2009 20:40:01 GMT Content-Length 620 Note the Cache-Control and Expires values for this static image being requested.   Hi all, Recently we had an encoding problem in our system : If we had the string "æ" in our db ,it became "æ" on our web pages. Now this problem is solved, but the problem is that now we have a lot of "æ" in our database : users didn't see and validate pre-filled form with these characters. I found that If you read in utf 8 C3A6 you'll get "æ", if you read it in ascii you'll get "æ". It's strange because if I execute "select convert(varbinary(40),N'æ'),convert(varbinary(40),'æ')" I don't have the same result... Do you have any idea on how I can fix my database (ie change all "æ" to "æ") ? thx

• What are the default values for arch and code options when using nvcc?

  When compiling your CUDA code, you have to select for which architecture your code is being generated. nvcc provides two parameters to specify this architecture, basically: arch specifies the virtual arquictecture, which can be compute_10, compute_11, etc. code specifies the real architecture, which can be sm_10, sm_11, etc. So a command like this: nvcc x.cu -arch=compute_13 -code=sm_13 Will generate 'cubin' code for devices with 1.3 compute capability. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Which I would like to know is which are the default values for these two parameters? Which is the default architecture that nvcc uses when no value for arch or code is specified?

  Hello! I have a lookup field in sharepoint which just references another list. I wonder how do I programatically enumerate all possible values for this field? For example, my lookup field "Actual City" refers list "Cities" and column "Title", I have 3 cities there.
