• What should I do with syncobj in SQL Server

  Hi. I run this script to search particular text in sys.columns and I get a lot of "dbo.syncobj_0x3934443438443332" this kind of result. SELECT c.name, s.name + '.' + o.name FROM sys.columns c INNER JOIN sys.objects o ON c.object_id=o.object_id INNER JOIN sys.schemas s ON o.schema_id=s.schema_id WHERE c.name LIKE '%text%' If I get it right, they are replication objects. Is it so? Can i just throw them away from my query just like o.name NOT LIKE '%syncobj%' or there's another way? Thank you.

• Are Inherited Forms And/Or Inherited Controls possible in Managed C++

  Hello everyone The question is actually pretty self explanatory but I will further clarify it. I am building a simple application to show a load [file] for 5 different types of [files]. So all these 5 forms will have similar GUI elements such as a listbox and a load button with a small textbox/label to show the summary of the [file]'s information. My desired effect is something like visual studio's C# template for Inherited User controls or Inherited forms. I already heavily googled the concept to look for a C++ visual studio template to the trick but I couldn't find it. The word [file] is in brackets because open file dialogue will not the trick as this list of files to select form comes form an SQL server. Thanks a lot!

  I am using SQL Server 2008. I have a Student table in which there are following fields: 1. StudentId, 2. StudentName, 3. Marks . I want to get a resultset in which there should be a column named “Position”. Something like “Select StudentId,StudentName,Marks, as Position from Student...” so that, depending on the marks a student scored, i can evaluate them as the 1st, 2nd or 20th position.   Hello, I am trying to create an array of weeks for users to select to view stats week on week. What I'm looking for is an array that has the timestamp of week start (monday 00.00 to sunday 11.59) that I can then use in MYSQL queries. Has anyone got an code that might assist? • How do I keep existing values from shifting to the right when entering keypresses into a jQuery Mask

  I have a text box I'm using as a timer display "hh:mm:ss" When I select the box and press a number, it inserts the number at the cursor location, but instead of replacing the value at that position, it shifts all existing values over. For example, the timer text box reads "01:00:35" and I replace the first minute position with 1, the timer text box will then read "01:10:03." Anybody know how to force the text box to replace, instead of insert, at the cursor position? I've tried intercepting onKeyPress, doing the replace manually, rewriting the entire timer text, and then returning false. But, that doesn't worked with a jQuery masked input, because my function runs first.

• Javascript - Concatenate Multiple NodeLists Together

  I was originally asking for an elegant way to simulate the Array.concat() functionality in IE or older browsers, because it seemed that concat was not supported. Only, of course it is and the reason the object didn't support it is because it wasn't an array. Oops! getElementsByTagName returns a NodeList, not an array. The real question, then, is: what's a good way to get a single list of all the form elements in a document (input, select, textarea, button) to loop through them? An array isn't required... a single NodeList would be perfect, too. Note that I'm using IE6 as this is for a corporate intranet (soon IE8 though).

• WPF ComboBox SelectedItem - change to previous value

  Hello, I have a ComboBox that has the SelectedItem bound to the ViewModel. <ComboBox SelectedItem="{Binding SelItem, Mode=TwoWay}" ItemsSource="{Binding MyItems}"> When the user selects a new Item in the View ComboBox, I want to display a prompt and verify that they want to make the change. In the SetItem Property setter in the View Model, I display a Dialog to confirm the selection. When they say yes, it works fine. My problem is, when the user clicks on "No" I am not sure who to get the ComboBox to revert back to the previous value. The Property in the ViewModel has the correct older value, however in the View the ComboBox displays the newly Selected Value. I want the user to select an item, confirm they want to go ahead with it, and if they decide not to, I want the ComboBox to revert back to the previous item. How can I accomplish this? Thanks!

  It's easy to find duplicates with one field SELECT name, COUNT(email) FROM users GROUP BY email HAVING ( COUNT(email) > 1 ) So if we have a table ID NAME EMAIL 1 John [email protected] 2 Sam [email protected] 3 Tom [email protected] 4 Bob [email protected] 5 Tom [email protected] This query will give us John, Sam, Tom, Tom because they all have the same e-mails. But what I want, is to get duplicates with the same e-mails and names. I want to get Tom, Tom. I made a mistake, and allowed to insert duplicate name and e-mail values. Now I need to remove/change the duplicates. But I need to find them first.

  I'm just learning WPF. I'm using VS 2008. I've added an Image control to my XAML, and I added a GIF file to the project. If I use the XAML Designer's property panel to set the image's Source property, the drop-down list for the Source property contains the following: C:\Sample Project;component/pinHorizontal.gif There are several problems with this: My project, named "Sample Project," is not in the root of my drive. Why is ";component" in there? If I select this value as given, I get the error "Property value is not valid" (yeah, no kidding). If I go into the XAML source and set the Source property manually, like so: The XAML Designer gives me this error: "The file pinHorizontal.gif is not part of the project or its 'Build Action' property is not set to 'Resource'." Why is this task so difficult? How do I assign an image source?

This is my first time here so I hope I post this question at the right place. :) I need to build flood control for my script but I'm not good at all this datetime to time conversions with UTC and stuff. I hope you can help me out. I'm using the Google App Engine with Python. I've got a datetimeproperty at the DataStore database which should be checked if it's older than 20 seconds, then proceed. • OpenLayers .containsPoint after pan

  I've seem to have hit a bug or i have overlooked something. I written some code that enumerates through all the vector features on a OpenLayers Vector layer - to check if the mouse is inside a vector feature - if so then it displays some info based on the feature. I had to write my own methods to do this because the existing OpenLayers Controls( select etc) stop after finding a feature under the mouse, and i the possibility of several features being stacked on top of one another. My problem is that the .containsPoint method seems to be using coords from before a 'pan'. After zooming in or out the geometry seems to be in the right place and .containsPoint is works correctly when I wave the mouse over the map. Do I need to do something after the map has been panned to update something( feature's geometry)

• AVDs that exist do not get listed in the "Target Tab"

  I am using emulator Android 2.1 with Eclipse. For few days I had the emulator working ... was able to debug... I had 2 AVDs created and was using one of them. Earlier today I had to move my classes to a different package. Ever since I did that the configuration that I had has disappeared . So now I had to create configuration - I select Android Application and then click New - gave it a name TestPrjCfg - when I go to the "Target" tab - I see "No AVD available" but when I click manager I see two AVDs listed. I tired refresh in the "Target" tab - the existing AVDs do not show up. I used the Manager and created a third AVD that did not help either. Please let me know what am I missing here? What should I do so that the existing AVDs showup in the "Target" tab- Thank you for the time and effort abhi

• In T-SQL how to display columns for given table name?

  I am trying to list all of the columns from whichever Adventureworks table I choose. What T-sQL statement or stored proc can I execute to see this list of all columns? I want to use my C# web app to input one input parameter = table_name and then get a list of all the column_names as output. Right now I am trying to execute the sp_columns stored proc which works, but I can't get just the one column with select and exec combined. Does anybody know how to do this?

  hello, searching a photo by dominant colors using mysql is quite simple. assuming that the r,g,b values of the most dominant colors of the photo is already stored in the database, this could be achieved for example by something like: SELECT * FROM colors WHERE ABS(dominant_r - :r) < :threshold AND ABS(dominant_g - :g) < :threshold AND ABS(dominant_b - :b) < :threshold i wonder, if it's anyhow possible to store the colors in sphinx and perform the querying using the sphinx search engine? thanks!

• Passing empty list as parameter to JPA query throws error

  If I pass an empty list into a JPA query, I get an error. For example: List<Municipality> municipalities = myDao.findAll(); // returns empty list em.createQuery("SELECT p FROM Profile p JOIN p.municipality m WHERE m IN (:municipalities)") .setParameter("municipalities", municipalities) .getResultList(); Because the list is empty, Hibernate generates this in SQL as "IN ()", which gives me error with Hypersonic database. There is a ticket for this in Hibernate issue tracking but there are not many comments/activity there. I don't know about support in other ORM products or in JPA spec either. I don't like the idea of having to manually check for null objects and empty lists every time. Is there some commonly known approach/extension to this? How do you handle these situations?

  Hello stackoverflowers, Forgive me if this question has been asked and answered, I've searched and found a few that look similar but I'm too much of a novice with SQL to adapt them to my needs. Also forgive me if I don't use the correct terminology, I know it can be annoying when someone asks a question and they don't even know enough to be able to ask for what they need. I'm helping a friend gather some data, and need to perform a query that results in a single row per record, but instead I get multiple rows. Here is an example of what I'm querying right now (simplified, hopefully not too much): SELECT * FROM `table_one` AS t1 INNER JOIN `table_two` AS t2 ON t1.id = t2.id INNER JOIN `table_three` AS t3 ON t1.id = t3.id WHERE 1 The result is: id text number 5 Subtotal 17 5 Tax 3 5 Total 20 What I need is to create a query that results in something more like this: id text number text number text number 5 subtotal 17 Tax 3 Total 20 Any assistance/guidance would be much appreciated. I'm experimenting with SqlMethods.Like() but to no avail. The filters above look like this: "<key>NID</key><value>mcass</value>". I'd like to be able to pass filters like this: "<key>NID</key><value>%m%</value>"

Another similar question at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/355687/how-to-check-a-procedure-view-table-exists-or-not-before-dropping-it-in-db2-9-1 suggests that they had to create a proc but this isn't a solution for us.

  How can I export a query result from a .sql database into a .csv file? I tried with SELECT * FROM players INTO OUTFILE 'players.csv' FIELDS TERMINATED BY ',' LINES TERMINATED BY ';';` and my .csv file is something like: p1,1,2,3 p2,1,4,5 But they are not in saparated columns, all are in 1 column. I tried to create a .csv file by myself just to try WEKA, something like: p1 1 2 3 p2 1 4 5 But WEKA recognizes p1 1 2 3 as a single attribute. So: how can I export correctly a table from a sql db to a csv file? And how can I use it with WEKA?

• PHP JSON encode output number as string

  I am trying to output a JSON string using PHP and MySQL but the latitude and longitude is outputting as a string with quotes around the values. This causes an issue when I am trying to add the markers to a google map.
