  • Google Chrome Browser does not display the images from Local network or local host? [migrated]

    While developing and testing a site on local network I have noticed that while IE/FireFox would display the images coming from URL's like "http:\mypc" or "http:\localhost" or ip adress on the netwrok , google chrome on Galaxy, Windows Machine, or google Android will not display the images. After having burned too many hours trying various CSS, image src tag, html document description tricks, I have given up. During my search I found (and lost) the link to chrome forums regarding this issue that seemed to say it is just so by users. Anyone has any more information on weather it is possible to view images on local host/computer name on netwrok or ip adress?

Is my search history secured from Google? No. The search queries you submit to Google are stored in Google servers. There is no change Google’s search history recording. Any differences between Regular Search and Secured Search Results? Yes. Secured search is slightly different from regular search.   • Google Chrome pinned to Windows 7 taskbar not opening under pinned icon

    I have both Google Chrome and Eclipse pinned to my taskbar in Windows 7 64-Bit. However, when I launch these programs, they don't appear to open under the pinned taskbar icon Eclipse behaves similarly. The Eclipse launcher/workspace selector is under the pinned icon, but once the IDE opens, it moves from the pinned icon, to a new group at the end of the taskbar. Unpinning/repinning doesn't seem to do the trick. It's bothersome to have taskbar space wasted on both the launcher icon, and the window button. Anybody have an idea how to get normal behavior out of the taskbar?

  • Forbid links to open new tabs in Google Chrome

    I'm looking for a solution to forbid links in Google Chrome to open new tabs (in most cases it is a target="_blank" issue). So, I want all links to open pages in currently active tab, not in new tab. I tried a wide range of addons (for ex. "Death to target=_blank") and greasemonkey scripts that are supposed to remove target=_blank attribute but none of them worked. It is extremally anoying when I want to switch between accounts in GMail or navigate from GMail to GDrive. I always get the new tab opened and I need to close last tab manually.

  • Bing New Tab Page on Chrome

    For a long while, my computer had the default new tab page, which I liked. Recently, it has turned into a bing search bar tab. I hate bing. I checked all my settings, removed unused extensions, checked my Chrome files briefly, but I can't find how it keeps coming back! At first I thought it was easy to find; it was set as the new tab page, but it isn't now and it's still here! I installed a new extension after a few tries trying to remove it, called "X New Page Tab", and it worked for one night, then Bing overrode it. Any help please? I really don't want Bing as anything on my computer.

  • Clicking on a link in Chrome opens up Notepad

    I'm currently using Chrome 21.0.1180.89 on Windows 7, but I have noticed this behavior in other versions before. Probably about one time in a hundred, I will click on a link on a website and an instance of Notepad will open up with a blank page rather than the browser going to the link. To my knowledge, I have no malware or viruses on the machine that could be causing this. It's a minor annoyance, so I'm not very concerned about it, but I'm wondering if there could be a MIME type that's set wrong by default in the browser?

  • Chrome sending of packets to random destinations upon reconnect/disconnect

    Noticed an interesting thing whilst debugging one of my websocket applications that Google Chrome will push out 3 http requests upon a network connection status changing; Quite disconcerting and looks almost as if some malware is checking out to a random server. I don't quite understand the why though since they all return a 502 or have no response code at all since the destination does not exist. On Disconnect: Reconnect: I guess the main question is this normal and what the use is; howcome they wouldn't go for a dns lookup that actually exists?

  • Prevent history deletion on Google Chrome

    One of the guys I'm in charge of hasn't been pulling his weight. His productivity and quality of workmanship are way down and his computer's been getting malware infections lately. You can see where this is going. I'm generally an easy going guy (and I don't want any trouble but I still have to address this issue). Is there a way to disable browser history deletion on Chrome? I'm hoping this alone will be enough of a deterrent to put things right.

    I have a Google Spreadsheet with 3 columns which are either blank or have a value. I want to get the count of the number of rows that has A and either B or C populated. If I were writing a SQL query it would be select count(*) from Table where A is not null and (B is not null or C is not null) But I can't for the life of me figure out how to get this in a Google Spreadsheet

    This chart works fine in Google charts, but when rendered in Eastwood, it doesn't use the 2nd provided color, rather it applies the first color to both bars in the chart. http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=bvg&chs=150x150&chd=t:18,81&chco=FFF000|00FFFF&chxt=x,y&chl=Bar1|Bar2&chtt=Chart Any suggestions as to why this could be? I know of the iPhone app NaviCAD, which shows Collada models from Google Warehouse - it has search, most-viewed, most-recent functionality; so I guess it is using some sort of API to get that data. I'm even able to fetch the @self feed, but for some reason I get error 404 when trying to do the same thing with @consumption: "Download of https://www.googleapis.com/buzz/v1/activities/v.kiril/@consumption failed: Error downloading https://www.googleapis.com/buzz/v1/activities/v.kiril/@consumption - server replied: Not Found" I've got this url from the Google Buzz API. And I've tried to use my personal google profile ID and this @me namespace. Without success
