Of course all the equations are currently perfect for the data that's here. How do I add a whole new column without ruining the previous equations?     Hello. I have a friend who's put himself in that age-old position: His OS partition has turned out to be too small for his needs. He'd really like to be able to repartition his harddrive without formatting it. In the past Partition Magic would have leapt to mind, but apparently Symantec bought that in 2003 and never updated it (and then officially discontinued it). Is there a "modern day" Partition Magic that every uses for desperate situations like this, that also works under Windows 7? Thanks

    I know Ghost and Clonezilla aren't able to build images of a system while the system is running(Without Rebooting). Haven't Checked on Acronis though, but i don't simpatize with private solutions. Question: Is there a software solution which is able to build a "Live" image? Would appreciate anwsers, since I'm one step away from building a Clonezilla test enviroment and this will just help on my decision. Thank you.

For example instead of: id PicturePath size 1 file1.jpg 90832 2 file2.jpg 84593 I want to do: id PicturePath1 PicturePath2 PicturePath3 1 file1.jpg file3.jpg file5.jpg And also as it uploads, it should change the name of the original file e.g. if User uploads DSC0009.jpg it should upload into the file upload folder and MySQL Database as: someRandomFileName8087935.jpg

  • How to reverse proxy with or without trailing slash

    I have a apache web server that needs to reverse proxy a site. So example.com/test/ or example.com/test pull from the same other webserver. I have setup a reverse proxy for the one without the trailing slash like this: ProxyPass /test http://othersite.com/test ProxyPassReverse /testhttp://othersite.com/test But it doesn't work with a trailing slash. Any Ideas? I have tried redirecting from /test/ to /test with no luck. Thanks.

    I've been asked to update some computers running Windows XP (without any service packs) to Windows XP SP3. The computers don't have an internet connection (only a small intranet) and have never been updated since first install. Do I need to install SP1a first, then SP2, then SP3, or can I install SP3 immediately? And where do I find the right files, that don't require an internet connection during installation?     We have just got Windows 8 Release Preview installed in our offices. We wanted to open it up for viewing to the public and I'd like to know if there is a way to let people log in with their Windows Live ID without having to set up a user account for them beforehand? What we are after is a user being able to walk up to the PC, type in their Windows Live ID and password, and they're logged in as a default user. Is this doable in Windows 8, and if so, how?

    I have two AMD Radeon HD 6870 video cards in CrossFireX configuration and I would like to add a third monitor. I understand to use "Eyefinity" you need to use an active mini displayport to DVI adapter. I am not interested in the benefits of "Eyefinity", I just want a third monitor with Windows extended desktop. Is it possible to use either the HDMI head on the first card or the DVI heads from the second card to get a third monitor running without "Eyefinity" and an active adapter?

    I am trying to use ssh/scp from Windows to Linux without having to enter a password. This is what I have done, and it doesn't seem to work: generated public and private keys using Putty Key Generator (on Windows) saved the files as id_rsa.pub and id_rsa copied them into ~/.ssh added id_rsa.pub to the Linux box in ~/.ssh/authorized_keys I then try to ssh to the Linux box from Windows and I still have to enter a password Am I missing something?

I got the Windows 8 ISO from MSDN but I didn't get enough keys to install it on all my 7 computers. Also, my MSDN subscription level doesn't allow me to get the VL product key to Windows 8 Enterprise. Is there any way I can install Windows 8 for a limited time period like we used to do for Windows 7 ?

    I am build a bar chart in Excel with data values ranging from e.g. 10 to 20. I want the X axis limits to be automatic, but although the right limit (near 20) works correctly, the left limit always defaults to 0. I'd like the left limit to be near 10, instead of zero, without having to have the limit fixed. Is there any way to do this?

I have followed the instructions in the "Secure Shell Access" section in the installation instructions. I can not log into my remote host from my local host, but I can log into my local host from my remote host. Not sure what's going on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    I'm using WordPress to manage my site and when the site does a re-direct, it slows down performance. For example, WordPress allows you a single default site, www.mycompany.com. If a user goes to mycompany.com, WP will re-direct it www.mycompany.com. Is there a way to configure WP so that it will listen on both www.mycompany.com and mycompany.com without redirects. The redirects are causing performance hits to the site.

    How can I set up my Linux box so that, if the Active Directory domain controller is down, I can still log in as root, without any timeouts or delays? Following the example of most of the documentation out there, I've listed pam_winbind.so before pam_unix.so in my /etc/pam.d configurations. I believe that this is the cause of the problem. I remember seeing alternate /etc/pam.d setups that change the order and maybe add either pam_localuser or pam_succeed_if (to see if the uid is less than 500), but I can't find any specifics now (and I'm not enough of an expert in PAM to quickly and easily come up with a robust configuration on my own). What is the recommended setup for PAM with Winbind to avoid timeouts and delays if Active Directory is unavailable?

    I have (maybe silly) question regarding the apache2 webserver and security - I am trying to archieve this: Users connecting from 192.168.1.24 not to be prompted for password and allowed Others asked for username and password if correct then connect. I am trying to do this for the whole directory /var/www No matter whether I put the code into .htaccess file or in httpd.conf it doesn't work for me. Order deny,allow Deny from all AuthName "PassRequest" AuthType Basic AuthUserFile /var/.htpasswd Require valid-user Allow from 192.168.1.24 Satisfy Any If I try to connect to the page I am allowed from both the allowed IP or any other, If I remove the satisfy any line then I am prompted for password, if I remove the password too and try to connect from different IP I am NOT REFUSED ... is there some module that needs to be activated or why is the IP directive skipped ? It needs to be put in every folder or /var/www/.htaccess is enough ? can I just put it in httpd.conf instead or not ?? I spend last 4 hours trying to google up why it is acting like that, Any help will be highly appreciated :-))

  • What's the best way to store sort order in SQL?

    The guys at the top want sort order to be customizable in our app. So I have a table that effectively defines the data type. What is the best way to store our sort order. If I just created a new column called 'Order' or something, every time I updated the order of one row I imagine I would have to update the order of every row to ensure posterity. Is there a better way to do it?
