  Hi there! I'm trying to add some MarkDown capabilities to my symfony project (symfony version 1.3.3). To accomplish that, I had already included the MarkDown library into lib/vendor directory. Also, I added the need configuration in the autoload.yml for the previous library. However, I'm getting a fatal PHP error: Call to undefined function Markdown(). How can I resolve this problem? • How can I add forward class references used in the -Swift.h header?

  I'm integrating Swift code into a large Objective-C project, but I'm running into problems when my Swift code refers to Objective-C classes. For example, suppose I have: An Objective-C class called MyTableViewController An Objective-C class called DeletionWorkflow I declared a Swift class as follows: class DeletionVC: MyTableViewController { let deleteWorkflow: DeletionWorkflow ... } If I now try to use this class by importing ProjectName-Swift.h into Objective-C code, I get undefined symbol errors for both MyTableViewController and DeletionWorkflow. I can fix the problem in that individual source file by importing DeletionWorkflow.h and MyTableViewController.h before I import ProjectName-Swift.h but this doesn't scale up to a large project where I want my Swift and Objective-C to interact often. Is there a way to add forward class references to ProjectName-Swift.h so that these errors don't occur when I try to use Swift classes from Objective-C code in my app?

• Compiling python modules whith DEBUG defined on MSVC

  Python rather stupidly has a pragma directive in its include files that forces a link against python26_d.lib when the DEBUG preprocessor variable is defined. This is a problem because the python installer doesn't come with python26_d.lib! So I can't build applications in msvc in debug mode. If i temporarily #undef DEBUG for just one file I get many complaints about inconsistent DLL linkage. If I change the pragma in pythons include file I get undefined references to various debug functions. I have tried compiling my own version of python but its somehow different enough from the python that gets distributed that I can't use my modules with apps built with the vanilla version of python Can anyone give me any advice on how to get round this?   I'm trying to build dschaefer android-box2d, and did follow the recipe.   I am using Ruby on Rails 3 and I am tryng to map a hash (key, value pairs) to an encapsulated Ruby class (tableless model) making the hash key as a class method that returns the value. In the model file I have class Users::Account #< ActiveRecord::Base def initialize(attributes = {}) @id = attributes[:id] @firstname = attributes[:firstname] @lastname = attributes[:lastname] end end def self.to_model(account) JSON.parse(account) end My hash is hash = {\"id\":2,\"firstname\":\"Name_test\",\"lastname\":\"Surname_test\"} I can make account = Users::Account.to_model(hash) that returns (debugging) --- id: 2 firstname: Name_test lastname: Surname_test That works, but if I do account.id I get this error NoMethodError in Users/accountsController#new undefined method `id' for #<Hash:0x00000104cda410> I think because <Hash:0x00000104cda410> is an hash (!) and not the class itself. Also I think that doing account = Users::Account.to_model(hash) is not the right approach. What is wrong? How can I "map" those hash keys to class methods?

• ffmpeg problem in ubuntu (libavcodec.so)

  I run Ubuntu and try to use the ffmpeg wrapper in Java from here: http://code.google.com/p/javacv/ It seems to work fine on other systems, but in Ubuntu the project crashes with the following mistake: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Error looking up function 'avcodec_decode_video2': /usr/lib/i686/cmov/libavcodec.so: undefined symbol: avcodec_decode_video2 ffmpeg is working great from the command line, though. JavaCV author recommended me to check this link: http://linux-tipps.blogspot.com/2009/05/pretending-package-is-installed-by.html Probably I'm doing something wrong, but it cannot reinstall libavcodec51 like this. So the questions are: 1. Is those solution above a good one so I should bring it to success somehow? 2. What are the other ways to solve the problem? Thank you for your suggestions in advance!

• Buddypress on local server install has issues

  I have buddypress working nicely on a server, however I can't display the 'members' page or any individual profile page on a local webserver install I have made. If I try and visit /members/ I just get redirected back to the main buddypress page. I also just noticed online members never shows whose online and the link to the default blog on the main page is listed as http://localhost.localdomain/mu/BP_HOME_BLOG_SLUG which seems to indicate to me that BP_HOME_BLOG_SLUG is undefined, I can't find where it gets set or defined, not sure if these two problems are related to the other problems. No idea what's causing it, I've been pouring over the php files but haven't even gotten a clue, any suggestions on what I could do?

  I have just started using WiX for the first time. I added a WiX Votive project to my existing C project. To automatically select the correct source folder for the binaries add used the following: <Directory Id="INSTALLLOCATION" Name="Trapeze Capture For Objective" FileSource="$(var.CaptureForObjective.TargetDir)"> That results in the following error: 1C:\code\CaptureForObjective\Installer\Product.wxs(10,0): error CNDL0150: Undefined preprocessor variable '$(var.CaptureForObjective.TargetDir)'. The C project is called CaptureForObjective, and the WiX project is called Installer. What do I need to do to get this to work?

  I am using Telerik controls in my webforms and want to serialize object on the client. Since I am getting a stackoverflow error with Sys.Serialization.JavaScriptSerializer.deserialize I wanted to try JSON. With both JSON and and the MS library I get "Sys.Application is undefined." Has anyone encountered this what did you do as a work around? EDIT I am serializing my object on a parent page and passing them via an argument to a child window. The child window is in an IFRAME tag. The object can be used in the child page, but I receive the stackoverflow error when I serialize it. The object is an Array of objects.

On of these element is a dropdown, when I select a value an another vue is added in the bottom of the page in a div. When I try to access an element added by this view, I received "undefined". What can I do ? When I attempt to reference the defined value I get Undefined preprocessor variable '$(var.MAGE_FOLDER)' back in my face. I guess there is something trivial I am missing here...   Is is possible to set the Max length of a ComboBox in wxruby? I have looked in the documentation but find nothing http://wxruby.rubyforge.org/doc/combobox.html But if i do my_combobox.methods.sort I get set_max_size and set_min_size in the list. But When I call it my_combobox.set_max_length(100) I only get undefined method 'set_max_length' for #<Wx::ComboBox:0x4d4a914> I've also tried to call it as a private method def my_combobox.max(i) set_max_length(i) end my_combobox.max(100) But with the same result. The issue I want to avoid is that if somebody pastes 6000+ characters in my Combobox the text becomes white.

  The only method in a StreamGeometryContext that seems related to ellipses is the ArcTo method. Unfortunately it is heavily geared to joining lines rather than drawing ellipses. In particular, the position of the arc is determined by a starting and ending point. For a full ellipse the two coincide obviously, and the exact orientation becomes undefined. So far the best way of drawing an ellipse centered on 100,100 of size 10,10 that I found is like this: using (var ctx = geometry.Open()) { ctx.BeginFigure(new Point(100+5, 100), isFilled: true, isClosed: true); ctx.ArcTo( new Point(100 + 5*Math.Cos(0.01), 100 + 5*Math.Sin(0.01)), // need a small angle but large enough that the ellipse is positioned accurately new Size(10/2, 10/2), // docs say it should be 10,10 but in practice it appears that this should be half the desired width/height... 0, true, SweepDirection.Counterclockwise, true, true); } Which is pretty ugly, and also leaves a small "flat" area (although not visible at normal zoom levels).   I added the authlogic_facebook_connect plugin to my project and I'm now having problem running my cucumber test because of a NoMethodError. undefined method `set_facebook_session' for nil:NilClass (NoMethodError) In authlogic_facebook_connect/Session.rb the method "authenticating_with_facebook_connect?" is called as some sort of callback and the controller is defined but is missing the 'set_facebook_session' method. def authenticating_with_facebook_connect? controller.set_facebook_session attempted_record.nil? && errors.empty? && controller.facebook_session end I don't understand why the cucumber test is not loading the controller with this method.
