  • PHPUnit reporting "Aborted" no matter what tests are run

    Having a weird problem with PHPUnit. We're using PHPUnit as part of a continuous integration environment, that contains one app written using Zend Framework and one app written using CodeIgniter. Unit tests run just fine under Zend Framework, but whenever I run the tests for CodeIgniter using fooStack's CIUnit bridge, I always get the same problem at the end: PHPUnit 3.4.14 by Sebastian Bergmann. ............... . Time: 1 second, Memory: 7.00Mb OK (16 tests, 14 assertions) Aborted First off, I do not know what those empty spaces between the . means. Secondly, no matter what test I run (all of them or each one separately) I get the same Aborted message at the very end. The tests themselves do not contain any exit or die statements. When I run the same version of PHPUnit on my laptop (running OS-X Snow Leopard and same version of Zend Server Community Edition) I do not get that aborted message. Running PHP 5.3.2 on Ubuntu installed using Zend Server Community Edition. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    I took over maintenance of a PHP app recently and I'm not super familiar with PHP but some of the things I've been seeing on the site are making me nervous that it could be vulnerable to a SQL injection attack. For example, see how this code for logging into the administrative section works: $password = md5(HASH_SALT . $_POST['loginPass']); $query = "SELECT * FROM `administrators` WHERE `active`='1' AND `email`='{$_POST['loginEmail']}' AND `password`='{$password}'"; $userInfo = db_fetch_array(db_query($query)); if($userInfo['id']) { $_SESSION['adminLoggedIn'] = true; // user is logged in, other junk happens here, not important The creators of the site made a special db_query method and db_fetch_array method, shown here: function db_query($qstring,$print=0) { return @mysql(DB_NAME,$qstring); } function db_fetch_array($qhandle) { return @mysql_fetch_array($qhandle); } Now, this makes me think I should be able to do some sort of SQL injection attack with an email address like: ' OR 'x'='x' LIMIT 1; and some random password. When I use that on the command line, I get an administrative user back, but when I try it in the application, I get an invalid username/password error, like I should. Could there be some sort of global PHP configuration they have enabled to block these attacks? Where would that be configured?   • centos 6 ps aux hangs up

    I have problem with my server. Server is running centos 6 (CloudLinux Server release 6.2). uname -a = 2.6.32-320.4.1.lve1.1.4.el6.x86_64 That is a kvm guest. On host is debian 6. I run kill -9 PID even several times, and nothing happens. php runs via suphp. I learned somewhere that it can be trojan. I ran strace ps aux and it stops on open("/proc/PID/cmdline", O_RDONLY) If i reboot server, problem is gone but after some time it is back again .. :( Thanks.

  • MSSQL 2008 is claiming the firewall is blocking ports even from local machine

    I was just hoping to step through a couple queries to see how the temp tables are interacting and I'm getting this message. The windows firewall on this machine is currently blocking remote debugging. Remote debugging requires that the debugging be allowed to receive information from the network.Remote debugging also requires DCOM (TCP port 135) and IPSEC (UDP 4500/UDP500) be unblocked Even when I walked over to the actual machine and tried running the debugger, I'm still getting the same message. Am I missing something or does the debugger try to run remotely even from the local machine? Since this was meant to be just a quick check, I don't need instructions on how to open up the firewall, just hoping there is a way to run the debugger locally instead.

    If you are developing MS MPI applications with Visual Studio 2010, you are probably tired of following some tedious steps for every new C++ project that you create, similar to the following:1. Expand Configuration Properties and then under VC++ Directories place the cursor at the beginning of the list that appears in the Include Directories text box and then specify the location of the MS MPI C header files, followed by a semicolon, e.g.C:\Program Files\Microsoft HPC Pack 2008 SDK\Include;3.   • Is .gitignore not working or I have misunderstood it?

    I am very new to git. I have a .gitignore in the my working folder. *.jpg *.gif *.png system/* */Zend/* .idea/*.* Well, I did git init and then git add *. At this it worked fine and ignored the above files. But when I did some changes, ran the same command it puts the ignored files into staging area. The reason why I am using git add * is because I work on many files and adding each file would be a overkill. Update: Here are messages when I run git add * second time.. #new file: application/vendors/Zend/XmlRpc/Value/String.php #new file: application/vendors/Zend/XmlRpc/Value/Struct.php ... The list is too long.

So they also expect it when developing custom activities for the build process template. This post describes how you can debug your custom activities without having to develop on the build server itself. Remote debugging prerequisites The prerequisite for these steps are to install the Microsoft Visual Studio Remote Debugging Monitor. You can find information how to install this at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bt727f1t.aspx. I chose for the option to run the remote debugger on the build server from a file share. Debugging symbols prerequisites To be able to start the debugging, you need to have the pdb files on the buildserver together with the assembly. The pdb must have been build with Full Debug Info. Steps In my setup I have a development machine and a build server. To setup the remote debugging, I performed the following steps Locate on your development machine the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\Remote Debugger Create a share for the Remote Debugger folder. Make sure that the share (and the folder) has the correct permissions so the user on the build server has access to the share. On the build server go to the shared “Remote Debugger” folder Start msvsmon.exe which is located in the folder that represents the platform of the build server. This will open a winform application like   Go back to your development machine and open the BuildProcess solution. Start the Attach to process command (Ctrl+Alt+P) Type in the Qualifier the name of the build server. In my case the user account that has started the msvsmon is another user then the user on my development machine. In that case you have to type the qualifier in the format that is shown in the Remote Debugging Monitor (in my case LOCAL\Administrator@TFSLAB) and confirm it by pressing <Enter> Since the build service is running with other credentials, check the option “Show processes from all users”. Now the Attach to process dialog shows the TFSBuildServiceHost process Set the breakpoint in the activity you want to debug and kick of a build. Be aware that when you attach to the TFSBuildServiceHost that you debug every single build that is run by this windows service, so make sure you don’t debug the build server that is in production!   • Unable to install Xdebug

    I've registered xdebug in php.ini (as per http://xdebug.org/docs/install) but it's not showing up when i run "php -m" or when i get a test page to run "phpinfo()". I've just installed the latest version of XAMPP. Can anyone provide any suggestions in getting xdebug to show up? Some people say that if a library is stable and won't change often then one doesn't need to wrap it. However I fail to see how one would test a class that depends on a third party code without wrapping it.
