    Does select_related work for GenericRelation relations, or is there a reasonable alternative? At the moment Django's doing individual sql calls for each item in my queryset, and I'd like to avoid that using something like select_related. class Claim(models.Model): proof = generic.GenericRelation(Proof) class Proof(models.Model): content_type = models.ForeignKey(ContentType) object_id = models.PositiveIntegerField() content_object = generic.GenericForeignKey('content_type', 'object_id') I'm selecting a bunch of Claims, and I'd like the related Proofs to be pulled in instead of queried individually.

    I'm in a documentclass{article} in Latex. How would I put the name of an advisor on the first page? I've seen examples in latex for things like \principaladvisor{} but that seems to be done with the thesis class. I'm guessing with the article class I'd list the advisor as a co-author or something. How do I do that?

    Just seen one tutorial saying that: Class Dog { private string Name; } Class SuperDog:Dog { private string Mood; } Then there was an UML displaying that SuperDog will inherit Name as well. I have tried but to me it seems that only public members are inherited. At least I could not access Name unless it was declared as public.

I want to achieve:- <input name="BillingMatrix.BillingRateRows[0].BillingRates[0].Rate" id="BillingMatrix_BillingRateRows_0_BillingRates_0__Rate" style="width: 20px;" type="text" value="0"/> If I change the BillingRateRow View to:- @model WIP_Data_Migration.Models.ViewModels.BillingRateRowViewModel <tr> @Html.EditorFor(m => Model.BillingRates) </tr> It will throw an InvalidOperationException, 'model item passed into the dictionary is of type System.Collections.ObjectModel.Collection [BillingRateRowViewModel] but this dictionary required a type of BillingRateRowViewModel. Can anyone shed any light on this?

    I have a model which is accessible through the Django admin area, something like the following: # model class Foo(models.Model): field_a = models.CharField(max_length=100) field_b = models.CharField(max_length=100) # admin.py class FooAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin): pass Let's say that I want to show field_a and field_b if the user is adding an object, but only field_a if the user is editing an object. Is there a simple way to do this, perhaps using the fields attribute? If if comes to it, I could hack a JavaScript solution, but it doesn't feel right to do that at all!

My question: Im trying to build a CSS horizontal menu with hover drop downs, however, when I use the 'display: inline' property with li (list) items, I get horizontal spaces between the li (list) items in the bar. How do I remove this space?     I am trying to use NSXMLElement to build an XML document in my app, but when i build i get an error which reads "NSXMLElement undelcared". From what i can tell, NSXMLElement is part of the Foundation Framework, and should therefore be included with the rest of the framework with the line #include <Foundation/foundation.h>. Is this class not available for iOS(4.2)? Is there some other class that i can use? TIA

    I have this to add a class to the main table that the report is in if there is no data returned. $('#report-area table td:contains("Sorry, your search did not return any data")').parents('#reportArea').addClass('no-report-data') However, I have another div area "#report-footer" but it's not inside #report-area. I'd like to also add the .no-report-data class to "#report-footer" as well but in this case I don't think the .parents selector will work. Is there another selector I can use to do this?
