login problem with ajax

i have created login page which sends ajax request to a php page for login verification. On that php page i m creating session, and sending response as per login verification. if user is authenticated i m redirecting it to home page from java script from where i send ajax. but on that homepage i cant get that session object... why? can u tell me solution to retrieve that session on home page

I found this excellent solution for transforming strings to lowercase, but the Title Case function seems to have been left out of my version of MySQL. Is there an elegant way to do this?

As the title says, I'm not clear on when such a subroutine will be called. From the require page at perldoc one can write: push @INC, \&my_sub; sub my_sub { my ($coderef, $filename) = @_; # $coderef is \&my_sub ... } but where does this go exactly? The required package or the requiring script (or package)? I've tried both with some sentinel print statements but neither worked so clearly there is something I'm not getting.

Is it possible to modify the DOM during or before the initial DOM parsing? Or do I have to wait until the DOM is parsed and built before interacting with it? More specifically, is it possible to hinder a script element in DOM from running using userscripts/content scripts or similar in chrome or firefox? Tried using eventListeners on DOMNodeInserted before the DOM is parsed, but these are only fired after the DOM is built.

Once i accidentally removed the external harddisk usb connection then when i try to startup the ubuntu virtual machine again i get kernel panic. im trying to build an executable (for 32bit windows xp) from a python script (which uses lots of eggs) i considered py2exe(0.6.9), PyInstaller (1.4) and cx_Freeze (4.1.2) py2exe doesnt like eggs for breakfast PyInstaller doesnt like python 2.6 for lunch) so i went with cx_Freeze (supposed to support eggs seamlessly since 4.0b1). but for some reason it doesnt. what parameters do i pass in order for files inside an egg to be recognized?

Everything worked fine except the date fields are mangled and become like these: 11/17-/2-00 3/4/-20-08 By comparing to actual data I can guess that it is probably in the format of MM/DD/YYYY or m/d/YYYY. How can I properly export the date field?

ASP.NET MVC hosting problem, routing, handlers and modules

Hi, This is one of them again, hosting with fasthosts. I recently purchased a windows developer package from them. When I tried to deploy my ASP.NET 3.5 MVC project, which was working fine with the same host on a reseller account, it is not working. The reason to move from reseller to a normal Windows Developer package is, the MS-SQL server database is too expensive in a reseller account, strange! I contact them, and they are saying they upgraded the control panel. The technical support said, I need to disable the Modules and Handlers from the web.config file. Also I need to deploy them as .dll files. I am not sure how to do that. The website is partially working now. I think the problem is now with the routing. I have not deployed any .dlls apart from the System.Web.Mvc.dll, System.Web.Routing.dll and System.Web.Abstractions.dll. I have not got a clue on how to deploy the Modules and Handlers. The code that I commented on the web.config file is as follows.  Anybody got any ideas please. Thank you for your time.

For FF one of the suggested solution FF stores page zoom level for future. So on first page load would I be able to get zoom level? Somewhere I read it works if you're changing zoom level on that page after its loaded. Is there a way to trap 'zoom' event?
