  • WordPress to Static .html solution

    I'm looking for a solution that will enable me to use WordPress for site/content management but will export static .html files rather than dynamic database driven files. I've used wp-super cache and it is a step in this direction, however, the speed gains were not quite what I'd like. Any ideas?

    i'm being dissapointed in programming when some issues can't be placed in my mind. i have file, which starts <?php session_start();?>, and it returns an error Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at C:\xampp2\htdocs\index.php:1) in C:\xampp2\htdocs\index.php on line 3 and now take a look at the moment, i can't anderstand anyway when i copy the all content of my file into another file, it start working. can somebody explain how can it happen. thanks

    Hi, I am going crazy with this error: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by... Please note that I know about the gazillion results on google and on stack overflow. My problem is the way I've constructed my pages. To keep html separate from php, I use include files. So, for example, my pages look something like this: <?php require_once('web.config.php'); ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Login</title> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="images/favicon.gif"/> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="images/favicon.ico"/> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="<?php echo SITE_STYLE; ?>"/> </head> <body> <div id="page_effect" style="display:none;"> <?php require_once('./controls/login/login.control.php'); ?> </div> </body> </html> So, by the time my php file is included, the header is already sent. Part of the include file looks like this: // redirect to destination if($user_redirect != 'default') { $destination_url = $row['DestinationUrl']; header('Location:'.$user_redirect); } elseif($user_redirect == 'default' && isset($_GET['ReturnURL'])) { $destination_url = $_GET['ReturnURL']; header('Location:'.$destination_url); } else { header('Location:'.SITE_URL.'login.php'); } But I can't figure out how to work around this. I can't have the header redirect before the output so having output buffering on is the only thing I can do. Naturally it works fine that way - but having to rely on that just stinks. It would be nice if PHP had an alternative way to redirect or had additional parameters to tell it to clear the buffer.

    I have a requirement to build an extensible wizard in a portlet. This wizard will list components that are installed and forward the user to a sub-wizard that is component specific. The requirement is that the components are to be developed by other people and dynamically plugged into this wizard (Jetspeed reboot is okay). I would like to be able to define the components as portlets themselves who's content is rendered into the primary portlet. Has anybody ever done something like this?

In that same project I am trying to load the xml file by saying: XDocument xml = XDocument.Load("/config.xml"); This unfortunately is not working. Upon inspecting the xap file, I see that the xml file is not being copied to it. I am using Visual Studio 2010 RC.

    I'm using simple code: import urllib2 response = urllib2.urlopen("http://www.mysite.com/getfile/4355") output = open('myfile.zip','wb') output.write(response.read()) output.close() The web-server is IIS + ASP.NET MVC 4 It returns FileResult wrapping a zip-file with "application/octet-stream" content-type. The problem is that downloaded zip file is broken - only 4.1kB size, where it must be 24kB. When I type the url adress in web-browser directly - it downloads and opens fine. Could you please, suggest, what's wrong with my Python code?

    I'm having trouble getting JQuery validation to work with a set of checkboxes. I'm generating the checkboxes using an ASP.NET checkboxlist, and I've used JQuery to set the 'name' attribute to the same thing for each checkbox in the list. Here's the code that gets written to the browser. I'm setting the 'validate' attribute on the 1st checkbox to set the rule that at least one checkbox must be selected. The JQuery validation works for all other elements on the form, but not for the checkbox list. I'm trying to enable the JQuery validation whilst being as unobtrusive as possible, so that pages will still work even if JQuery is disabled. Here are the relevant JQuery inclusions and JQuery initialisation script for the form wizard.   • Can MikTeX create tagged PDFs?

    Tagged PDFs allow for the easy reflow and accessibility of PDFs. It seems like this would be a natural use case for using LaTeX, which advocates content over style. But as far as I can tell, there is no way to create a tagged PDF with MikTeX 2.8. Does anybody know of any tips, tricks or techniques to get a tagged PDF through LaTeX without resorting to the commercial version of Adobe Acrobat?
