    I have a DateTime object I want to compare against an sql datetime field in a where clause. I'm currently using: "where (convert( dateTime, '" & datetimeVariable.ToString & "',103) <= DatetimeField)" But I believe datetimeVariable.ToString will return a different value depending on the culture where the system is running. How would you handle this so it is culture independent?

Will I introduce a significant performance penalty? In Objective C, is there a quicker way of assessing whether a given object instance is of certain class type?   • Azure storage - double decimal point ignored on save

    I have a value that is correctly stored in a property of an object, but when I save the changes to the Azure storage database, the double value is stored to the database ignoring the point (7.1000000003 is saved as 711). Also, the property is changed to 711.0. How do I solve this problem? The field is already set to double in the class and the database table.

    Just a thought. Wouldn't it be useful to have optional type parameters in C#? This would make life simpler. I'm tired of having multiple classes with the same name, but different type parameters. Also VS doesn't support this very vell (file names) :-) This would eliminate the need for a non-generic IEnumerable: interface IEnumerable<out T=object>{ IEnumerator<T> GetEnumerator() } What do you think?

My model does have :dependent = :destroy, however I don't want to have to delete and re-create the object because it is slower.
