  • Where are the readonly/const in .NET?

    - by acidzombie24
    In C++ you'll see void func(const T& t) everywhere. However, i havent seen anything similar in .NET. Why? I have notice a nice amount of parameters using struct. But i see no functions with readonly/const. In fact now that i tried it i couldnt use those keywords to make a function that promises to not modify a list being passed in. Is there no way to promise the caller that this function will never modify the contents of list? Is there no way to say to call code and say this list should never be modified? (I know i can clone the list or look at documentation but i like compile errors sometime)

  • CakePHP: Ajax view problem (nothing in the view showing)

    - by Adim
    I created a function in my controller called addToPlaylist($songName). I wanted to add these song names to an array and then a session variable using an Ajax call. The first time i did this i got an error saying i do not have a template file to display in the chosen div ("add_to_playlist.ctp was missing"). I created this file and everything seemed to be working correctly. Basically I went to bed woke up and it is broken (it is possible I changed something before I went to bed). The problem now is that it does not show anything when i click the ajax link. when i click on the ajax link it seems to call the function but nothing displays in the view (except debug info) even when i delete the view (add_to_playlist.ctp) i get no errors, I just see debug info now.

  • CRC32 calculations for png chunk doesn't match the real one

    - by user2507197
    I'm attempting to mimic the function used for creating CRC's in PNG files, I'm using the autodin II polynomial and the source code from: http://www.opensource.apple.com/source/xnu/xnu-1456.1.26/bsd/libkern/crc32.c My tests have all been for the IHDR chunk, so my parameters have been: crc - 0xffffffff and 0 (both have been suggested) buff - the address of the IHDR Chunk's type. length - the IHDR Chunk's length + 4 (the length of the chunk's data + the length of the type) I printed the calculated CRC in binary, which I compared to the actual CRC of the chunk. I can see no similarities (little-big endian, reversed bits, XOR'd, etc). This is the data for the IHDR chunk (hexadecimal format): length(big endian): d0 00 00 00 (13) type: 49 48 44 52 data: 00 00 01 77 00 00 01 68 08 06 00 00 00 existing CRC: b0 bb 40 ac If anyone can tell me why my calculations are off, or give me a CRC32 function that will work I would greatly appreciate it. Thank-you!

  • Track only iframe history

    - by evanwong
    I have a page which contains an iframe and I want to track the history of the iframe only. I tried to use the history object like this: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title></title> <script type="text/javascript"> function checkFrameHistory() { alert(window.frames["test2"].history.length); } function checkThisHistory() { alert(history.length); } </script> </head> <body> <iframe name="test2" src="test2.html"></iframe> <div> <input type="button" onclick="checkFrameHistory()" value="Frame history"/> <input type="button" onclick="checkThisHistory()" value="This history"/> </div> </body> </html> test2.html <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title></title> <script type="text/javascript"> function checkMyHistory() { alert(history.length); } </script> </head> <body> <div> Test2 </div> <div> <input type="button" onclick="checkMyHistory()" value="My history"/> </div> </body> </html> but it actually gave me the history including the parent window. For instance, I went to another site in the main window and came back to my iframe test site. Both window.frames["test2"].history.length and history.length still gave me the same count by increasing the length by 2. Did I do it wrong? Is there a way to track only the iframe history?

  • Delphi JavaDoc Parser

    - by Christian Sciberras
    I need to parse JavaDoc (documentation) comment syntax with Delphi 7. It is well known in the java world as "JavaDoc", but I'm actually doing this for PHP, ie, parsing JavaDoc in some PHP code. Call it PHPDoc if you want to. To see how these comments work, you can see RAD IDEs like NetBeans etc. Example of JavaDoc for addition function: /** * Adds to numbers together. * @param integer $a The first number. * @param integer $b The second number. * @return integer The resulting number. */ function add($a,$b){ return $a+$b; } Please note that the parser need not be full, ie, parsing all of the PHP code. I mean, it's perfectly fine if it accepted the comment text only as input. Cheers, Chris.

  • Converting a list into a select with jquery

    - by Davemof
    I'm trying to convert the following list into a select list so it can be submitted via a form - the element within the lists will become the value of each option: <ul class="selected connected-list ui-sortable" style="height: 279px;"> <li class="ui-helper-hidden-accessible" style=""></li> <li title="Owner Name 1 - " class="ui-state-default ui-element ui-draggable" style="display: block; position: relative; top: 0px; left: 0px;"><span class="ui-icon-arrowthick-2-n-s ui-icon"></span>Owner Name 1 - <em class="thenumber">4.4796E+11</em><a class="action" href="#"><span class="ui-corner-all ui-icon ui-icon-minus"></span></a></li> <li title="David Moffat - " class="ui-state-default ui-element" style="display: block; position: relative; top: 0px; left: 0px;"><span class="ui-icon ui-icon-arrowthick-2-n-s"></span>David Moffat - <em class="thenumber">07730423005</em><a class="action" href="#"><span class="ui-corner-all ui-icon ui-icon-minus"></span></a></li> </ul> This should convert to the following format: <select style="display:none" class="selectoption" name="p_num[]" multiple="multiple"> <option value="">4.4796E+11</option> <option value="">07730423007</option> </select> I have tried the following jquery code, but after many hours I'm pulling my hair out: $('a.sendform').click(function(){ $('ul.selected').each(function() { var $select = $('<select />'); $(this).find('li').each(function() { var $option = $('<option />'); $option.attr('value', $(this).('em')).html($(this).html()); $select.append($option); }); $(this).replaceWith($select); }); }); Any help might save my remaining hair.   • pass parameter from javascript to another jsp

    - by gautam
    I want to pass parameter from a Javascript function to another JSP page. Currently I am doing like this: function viewapplet(strPerfMonPoint) { var dateSelected = document.forms[0].hdnDateSelected.value; document.forms[0].hdnPerfMonPoint.value = strPerfMonPoint; var win; win = window.open("jsp/PopUp.jsp?GraphPerfMon="+strPerfMonPoint+"&strDateSelected="+dateSelected, strPerfMonPoint,"width=800,height=625,top=40,left=60 resizable=No"); } I added hdnPerfMonPoint hidden variable and tried to acces in PopUp.jsp using request.getparameter(hdnPerfMonPoint) but it is giving null. I want my window.open like: window.open("jsp/PopUp.jsp", strPerfMonPoint,"width=800,height=625,top=40,left=60 resizable=No"); Please suggest solution.

  • How to manipulate file paths intelligently in .Net 3.0?

    - by Hamish Grubijan
    Scenario: I am maintaining a function which helps with an install - copies files from PathPart1/pending_install/PathPart2/fileName to PathPart1/PathPart2/fileName. It seems that String.Replace() and Path.Combine() do not play well together. The code is below. I added this section: // The behavior of Path.Combine is weird. See: // http://stackoverflow.com/questions/53102/why-does-path-combine-not-properly-concatenate-filenames-that-start-with-path-dir while (strDestFile.StartsWith(@"\")) { strDestFile = strDestFile.Substring(1); // Remove any leading backslashes } Debug.Assert(!Path.IsPathRooted(strDestFile), "This will make the Path.Combine(,) fail)."); in order to take care of a bug (code is sensitive to a constant @"pending_install\" vs @"pending_install" which I did not like and changed (long story, but there was a good opportunity for constant reuse). Now the whole function: //You want to uncompress only the files downloaded. Not every file in the dest directory. private void UncompressFiles() { string strSrcDir = _application.Client.TempDir; ArrayList arrFiles = new ArrayList(); GetAllCompressedFiles(ref arrFiles, strSrcDir); IEnumerator enumer = arrFiles.GetEnumerator(); while (enumer.MoveNext()) { string strDestFile = enumer.Current.ToString().Replace(_application.Client.TempDir, String.Empty); // The behavior of Path.Combine is weird. See: // http://stackoverflow.com/questions/53102/why-does-path-combine-not-properly-concatenate-filenames-that-start-with-path-dir while (strDestFile.StartsWith(@"\")) { strDestFile = strDestFile.Substring(1); // Remove any leading backslashes } Debug.Assert(!Path.IsPathRooted(strDestFile), "This will make the Path.Combine(,) fail)."); strDestFile = Path.Combine(_application.Client.BaseDir, strDestFile); strDestFile = strDestFile.Replace(Path.GetExtension(strDestFile), String.Empty); ZSharpLib.ZipExtractor.ExtractZip(enumer.Current.ToString(), strDestFile); FileUtility.DeleteFile(enumer.Current.ToString()); } } Please do not laugh at the use of ArrayList and the way it is being iterated - it was pioneered by a C++ coder during a .Net 1.1 era. I will change it. What I am interested in: what is a better way of replacing PathPart1/pending_install/PathPart2/fileName with PathPart1/PathPart2/fileName within the current code. Note that _application.Client.TempDir is just _application.Client.BaseDir + @"\pending_install". While there are many ways to improve the code, I am mainly concerned with the part which has to do with String.Replace(...) and Path.Combine(,). I do not want to make changes outside of this function. I wish Path.Combine(,) took an optional bool flag, but it does not. So ... given my constraints, how can I rework this so that it starts to sucks less? Thanks!

  • Need help with jQuery UI Accordion navigationFilter option

    - by theJBRU
    I'm building an accordion for navigation. Each section of the accordion has a set of links. The firing code looks like this: $(document).ready(function() { $(".selector").accordion({ collapsible: true, active: false, navigation: true }); }); This all worked fine and dandy until one of the links in each set was edited to point to a single file, call it foo.html. So now if you navigate to foo.html, the location.href matches every section of the accordion (since each section has a link to it) and that opens all the sections, defeating the purpose of the accordion. So I'm pretty sure I need to use the navigationFilter option but I've googled the living hell out of it and haven't found any examples of how to build the function associated with it. Help me, Stack Overflow!

  • How do you select form elements in JQuery based upon an html table?

    - by Swoop
    I am working on some ASP.NET web forms which involves some dynamic generation, and I need to add some onClick helpers on the client side. I have a basic outline of something working, except for one huge problem. There are multiple HTML tables, each generated by a different ASP.NET web control. Each table can contain overlapping field names, which is causing a problem with my JQuery click event handlers. The click event handler is linking to unintended form fields in addition to the intended form field. I have provided a simplified sample version of the code below. This code is trying to set the value of textbox box1 when a particular radiobutton is selected in the table with id=thing1. Obviously, the jquery code will be triggered for the form fields in both tables. The tables are dynamically added to the webpage based upon different conditions. It is possible that no tables will be loaded, only 1 table, or both tables might load. In the future, other tables could be added. Each table comes from a different .net web control. Other than renaming the form fields to make sure they are unique across all user controls, is there a way to have JQuery act only on the intended form fields? In other words, could the table ID be incorporated into the JQuery code in a manner that does not become a nightmare to maintain later? <script> $(document).ready(function() { $("[id$=radio1_0]").click(function() { $("[id$=box1]").attr("value", ""); }); $("[id$=radio1_1]").click(function() { $("[id$=box1]").attr("value", "N/A"); }); </script> <table id="thing1"> <tr><td> <radiobuttonlist id="radio1"/> <listitem>yes</listitem> <listitem>no</listitem> </td></tr> <tr><td> <textbox id="box1"/> </td></tr> </table> <table id="thing2"> <tr><td> <radiobuttonlist id="radio1"/> <listitem>yes</listitem> <listitem>no</listitem> </td></tr> <tr><td> <textbox id="box1"/> </tr></td> </table>

  • Saving JQuery Draggable Sitemap Values Correctly

    - by mdolon
    I am trying to implement Boagworld's Sitemap tutorial, however I am running into difficulty trying to correctly save the child/parent relationships. The HTML is as follows, however populated with other items as well: <input type="hidden" name="sitemap-order" id="sitemap-order" value="" /> <ul id=”sitemap”> <li id="1"> <dl> <dt><a href=”#”>expand/collapse</a> <a href=”#”>Page Title</a></dt> <dd>Text Page</dd> <dd>Published</dd> <dd><a href=”#”>delete</a></dd> </dl> <ul><!–child pages–></ul> </li> </ul> And here is the JQuery code: $('#sitemap li').prepend('<div class="dropzone"></div>'); $('#sitemap li').draggable({ handle: ' > dl', opacity: .8, addClasses: false, helper: 'clone', zIndex: 100 }); var order = ""; $('#sitemap dl, #sitemap .dropzone').droppable({ accept: '#sitemap li', tolerance: 'pointer', drop: function(e, ui) { var li = $(this).parent(); var child = !$(this).hasClass('dropzone'); //If this is our first child, we'll need a ul to drop into. if (child && li.children('ul').length == 0) { li.append('<ul/>'); } //ui.draggable is our reference to the item that's been dragged. if (child) { li.children('ul').append(ui.draggable); }else { li.before(ui.draggable); } //reset our background colours. li.find('dl,.dropzone').css({ backgroundColor: '', backgroundColor: '' }); li.find('.dropzone').css({ height: '8px', margin: '0' }); // THE PROBLEM: var parentid = $(this).parent().attr('id'); menuorder += ui.draggable.attr('id')+'=>'+parentid+','; $("#sitemap-order").val(order); }, over: function() { $(this).filter('dl').css({ backgroundColor: '#ccc' }); $(this).filter('.dropzone').css({ backgroundColor: '#aaa', height: '30px', margin: '5px 0'}); }, out: function() { $(this).filter('dl').css({ backgroundColor: '' }); $(this).filter('.dropzone').css({ backgroundColor: '', height: '8px', margin: '0' }); } }); When moving items into the top-level (without parents), the parentid value I get is of the first list item (the parent container), so I can never remove the parent value and have a top-level item. Is there a no-brainer answer that I'm just not seeing right now? Any help is appreciated.

  • JS Variable inside another variable

    - by Tusk
    I have a function that would use other variables, depending on what has been passed. Like this = ActionBar(slot) slot contains "one". and I would like to create a call inside that like object.slot.name but it should convert it before hand to make the command look like object.one.name. Is there a way to do this in javascript/jquery? I remember vaguely that some other language does this as {slot} or something like that. Sorry if this question was already asked, I've checked google and stackoverflow too, but didn't find an answer. Also I'd like to know what's the proper programming term for this kind of variable passing? Edited it cause of misunderstandings. I'm looking into OOP js, so object is an object, one is an object, and name is an attribute, but when passing I'm passing "one" as a string to the function. Tried eval, it doesn't work while dotted with an object.

  • Having a Link Only Appear If a Logged-In User Appears on a Dynamic List

    - by John
    Hello, For the function below, I would like the link <div class="footervote"><a href="http://www...com/.../footervote.php">Vote</a></div> to only appear if the logged in user currently appears on editorlist.php. • $("body").scrollTop() doesn't update in safari

    - by Kristoffer Nolgren
    I'm working on a website: http://beta.projektopia.se/ the body has several background-images that are updated on scroll like this: $(document).ready(function(){ $(document).scroll(function(){ var scrollfactor=$("body").scrollTop()*0.2; var centerscrollpos =scrollfactor+613; var docheight = $(document).height(); var windowheight = $(window).height(); var bottompos = (docheight-980)-((docheight-windowheight)*0.2)+scrollfactor; var scrollpos = 'center '+scrollfactor+'px,center '+bottompos+'px, center '+ centerscrollpos+'px,center 0px'; $("body").css("background-position", scrollpos); }); }); Lots of calculations, but the important thing is that a scrollpos is created that should change the position of the background when you scroll, to create a parallax-effect. It works great in chrome, but in firefox, the variable scrollfactor, that is suppose to get the current scroll-position, doesn't update. ps, some people have this issue due to lack of correct doctype. I believe i have declared it correctly like this: <!DOCTYPE html>

  • Interesting Row_Number() bug

    - by Joel Coehoorn
    I was playing with the Stack Exchange Data Explorer and ran this query: http://odata.stackexchange.com/stackoverflow/q/2828/rising-stars-top-50-users-ordered-on-rep-per-day Notice down in the results, rows 11 and 12 have the same value and so are mis-numbered, even though the row_number() function takes the same order by parameter as the query. I know the correct fix here is to specify an additional tie-breaker column in the order by clauses, but I'm more curious as to why/how the row_number() function returned different results on the same data? If it makes a difference anywhere, this runs on Azure.

  • Checking values in this array, JQuery

    - by Felix Guerrero
    Hi. I have this array (JQuery) where I add all my form's controls, it looks like: var name = $("#name"), surname = $("#surname"), address = $("#address"), phone = $("#phone"), photo = $("#photo"), grade = $("#grade"), profession = $("#profession"), email = $('#email'), title = $('#title'), allFields = $([]).add(name) .add(surname) .add(address) .add(phone) .add(photo) .add(grade) .add(profession) .add(email) .add(title) .add(grade); I want to check the values of each element into the 'allFields' array with function checkingFieldsArentEmpty(){ var valid = true; for (var f in allFields){ if(allFields[f].val() === null) //if any val is null just return false return false; } //true return valid; } I need ideas in order to improve the last function.   • mysql_close(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource

    - by Illes Peter
    Here's what I'm trying to do: I've got a db.php file that does all the db manipulation. It has 2 static methods, connect and deconnect. In my other file i simply use db::connect() and db::deconnect(). The mysql_close($con) in the deconnect method just doesn't know who $con is. Since I don't want to instantiate my class static is the only way to go. Declaring 'private $con' in class db doesn't seem to have an effect. Any ideas? class db { public static function connect() { $dbData = parse_ini_file($_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].'/config.ini'); $con = mysql_connect($dbData['host'],$dbData['user'],$dbData['pass']); $db = mysql_select_db($dbData['db']); if ((!$con) || (!$db)) return 0; else return 1; } public static function deconnect() { mysql_close($con); } }

  • How to move to a location in a web browser component?

    - by Mostafa Mahdieh
    I have a .NET windows form page and a WebBrowser component inside. I load a page inside the web browser using the Navigate method as in: webBrowser1.Navigate("http://www.stackoverflow.com"); The pages length is longer than the browsers height, so the vertical scroll bar appears. Now I want to move the scrollbar down to a specific position. More specifically I want to search for a specific peace of text inside the page, and scroll to that position. This behavior is implemented in the built-in "Find" function of the browser, but I can't figure out how to call the Find function from within my code, without the Find window appearing. Although I don't want the Find window to appear, if the text matches are highlighted it is welcome.

Validation functions available in Apps script is not satisfying all the possibility of checking the error. function validate(e) { var app = UiApp.getActiveApplication(); var flag=0; var text = app.getElementById('name'); var textrequired = app.getElementById('namerequired'); var number = app.getElementById('number'); var numberrequired = app.getElementById('numberrequired'); var email = app.getElementById('email'); var emailrequired = app.getElementById('emailrequired'); var submit = app.getElementById('submit_button'); var valid = app.createClientHandler() .validateNumber(number) .validateNotInteger(text) .validateEmail(email) .forTargets(submit).setEnabled(true) .forTargets(number,text,email).setStyleAttribute("color","black") .forTargets(numberrequired,textrequired,emailrequired).setText('*').setStyleAttribute("color", "red").setVisible(true); var invalidno = app.createClientHandler().validateNotNumber(number).validateMatches(number, '').forTargets(number).setStyleAttribute("color", "red").forTargets(submit).setEnabled(false).forTargets(numberrequired).setText('Please Enter a Valid No.').setStyleAttribute("color", "red").setVisible(true); var validno = app.createClientHandler().validateNumber(number).forTargets(number).setStyleAttribute("color","black").forTargets(numberrequired).setText('*').setStyleAttribute("color", "red").setVisible(true); var invalidText=app.createClientHandler().validateNumber(text).validateMatches(text, '').forTargets(text).setStyleAttribute("color", "red").forTargets(submit).setEnabled(false).forTargets(textrequired).setText('Please Enter a Valid Name.').setStyleAttribute("color", "red").setVisible(true); var validText=app.createClientHandler().validateNotNumber(text).forTargets(text).setStyleAttribute("color","black").forTargets(textrequired).setText('*').setStyleAttribute("color", "red").setVisible(true); var invalidemail=app.createClientHandler().validateNotEmail(email).validateMatches(email, '').forTargets(email).setStyleAttribute("color", "red").forTargets(submit).setEnabled(false).forTargets(emailrequired).setText('Please Enter a Valid Mail-Id.').setStyleAttribute("color", "red").setVisible(true); var validemail=app.createClientHandler().validateEmail(email).forTargets(email).setStyleAttribute("color","black").forTargets(emailrequired).setText('*').setStyleAttribute("color", "red").setVisible(true); number.addKeyPressHandler(invalidno).addKeyPressHandler(validno).addKeyPressHandler(valid).addKeyPressHandler(invalidText).addKeyPressHandler(invalidemail); text.addKeyPressHandler(invalidText).addKeyPressHandler(validText).addKeyPressHandler(valid).addKeyPressHandler(invalidno).addKeyPressHandler(invalidemail); email.addKeyPressHandler(invalidemail).addKeyPressHandler(validemail).addKeyPressHandler(valid).addKeyPressHandler(invalidno).addKeyPressHandler(invalidText); if (text == ''){flag = 1;} if (email == ''){flag = 1;} if (number == ''){flag = 1;} if(flag == 1){submit.setEnabled(false);} return app; } I just placed my Validation function using Apps Script. I don't know why its not satisfying all the possibilities of the validation. And also i have to do is to enable the submit button after all the fields satisfy the validation. After once it enabled, if i make any error in any field it will not get disable correctly. I wrote the coding correctly i think so. Please take a look at my validation function and give me some suggestion to make it possible. Please guide me, Thanks & Regards, chocka.
