  • Configuring a html page from an original demo page

    I forked into rainyday.js through github, an awesome javascript program made by maroslaw at this link: https://github.com/maroslaw/rainyday.js. Basically I tried taking his demo page and my own photo city.jpg and changed the applicable fields so that I could run it on my own site, but only the picture loads and the script itself doesn't start to run.   • Variable scope in javascript

    This is a simple question, but I can't work it out. The specifics aren't important, but here's the gist. I have some code like this: var lat = 0; var lon = 0; if (navigator.geolocation) { navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(function(position) { lat = position.coords.latitude; lon = position.coords.longitude; }); } What I think it's doing is: Set lat and lon to 0 If the browser has geolocation, overwrite those variables with real values However, at the end of that chunk, lat and lon are still 0. I've tried adding vars, passing lat and lon to the function etc but with no success... How do I make this work?

  • It is only uploading first row's file input

    I have a application which you can access here. If you open the application please click on the "Add" button a couple of times. This will add a new row into a table below. In each table row there is an AJAX file uploader. Now the problem is that if I click on the "Upload" button in any row except the first row, then the uploading only happens in the first row so it is only uploading the first file input only. Why is it doing this and how can I get it so that when then the user clicks the "Upload" button, the file input within that row of the "Upload" button is uploaded and not the first row being uploaded?     Hi, What is the best way to do view management in a multiview application? Right now I have this ViewSwitcher method/function that comes from a custom delegate I created. The code is a whole bunch of if else like this MyViewController *c = [[MyViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"MyViewController" bundle:nil]; c.delegate = self; self.myViewController = c; [self.viewHolder insertSubview:c.view atIndex:0]; [c release]; That works fine, but when I visited the function a second time, is there going to be 2 instances of MyViewController now or just 1? (Use of setInterval is required as per my knowledge) . Also I am using jquery in my templates. The server used is Django . Please provide some solution as in some sample code will be quite helpful .

    I'm using an MVC pattern in winforms application. I need to call remote service asynchronously. So On some event in View I invoke corresponding Presenter method. In Presenter I call BeginInvoke method of service. But to View must be updated only in Main Thread. I could actualy point CallBack to some function in View, and update it`s controls state, but this conflicts with MVP pattern - View must not be responsible for data it carries. This callback function must be in Presenter. But how then invoke View in Main Thread?

    Relating to this question i was wondering if .NET has any libs (or a function) i can use to detect if one point collides with another. I am not sure what angles i should use but is there some function like this func(point src, rect target, angle, distanceOfVision, listPointOrRectOfWalls) Pretty unlikely but i dont know a formula or how to start. Its a quick and dirty prototype. I am thinking of writing the func about but dropping angle and just make line of sight a rectangle and check if any points is between src and target.

    The following simple function applies a given monadic function iteratively until it hits a Nothing, at which point it returns the last non-Nothing value. It does what I need, and I understand how it works. lastJustM :: (Monad m) => (a -> m (Maybe a)) -> a -> m a lastJustM g x = g x >>= maybe (return x) (lastJustM g) As part of my self-education in Haskell I'm trying to avoid explicit recursion (or at least understand how to) whenever I can. It seems like there should be a simple non-explicitly recursive solution in this case, but I'm having trouble figuring it out. I don't want something like a monadic version of takeWhile, since it could be expensive to collect all the pre-Nothing values, and I don't care about them anyway. I checked Hoogle for the signature and nothing shows up. The m (Maybe a) bit makes me think a monad transformer might be useful here, but I don't really have the intuitions I'd need to come up with the details (yet). It's probably either embarrassingly easy to do this or embarrassingly easy to see why it can't or shouldn't be done, but this wouldn't be the first time I've used self-embarrassment as a pedagogical strategy. Background: Here's a simplified working example for context: suppose we're interested in random walks in the unit square, but we only care about points of exit. We have the following step function: randomStep :: (Floating a, Ord a, Random a) => a -> (a, a) -> State StdGen (Maybe (a, a)) randomStep s (x, y) = do (a, gen') <- randomR (0, 2 * pi) <$> get put gen' let (x', y') = (x + s * cos a, y + s * sin a) if x' < 0 || x' > 1 || y' < 0 || y' > 1 then return Nothing else return $ Just (x', y') Something like evalState (lastJustM (randomStep 0.01) (0.5, 0.5)) <$> newStdGen will give us a new data point.

Suppose I make such a request and set a ResponseHandler<String> responseHandler to handle the response. By doing this is it possible to have the UI thread blocked waiting for the response ? The implication being that the code in the function: public String handleResponse(HttpResponse response) is also executed on the UI thread or is there silently spawned a thread that waits for the response and calls the handleResponse(HttpResponse response) function when the response arrives ?

  • Why is my form triggering the wrong controller action?

This worked before, after some other not relevant code, it has ceased working. Essentially, the action it is supposed to call is never called, instead it seems to default back to a previous URL.     is there a way to define a value within a class in the __init__ part, send it to some variable outside of the class without calling another function within the class? like class c: def __init__(self, a): self.a = a b = 4 # do something like this so that outside of class c, # b is set to 4 automatically when i use class c def function(self): ... # whatever. this doesnt matter i have multiple classes that have different values for b. i could just make a list that tells the computer to change b, but i would rather set b within each class

    I've a C++ program that links at runtime with, lets say, mylib.so. then, the same program uses dlopen()/dlsym() to load a function from myplugin.so, dynamic library that in turn has dependencies to mylib.so. My question is: will the program AND the function in the plugin access the same globals defined in mydlib.so in the same memory area reserved for the program, or each will be assigned different, unrelated copies in its own memory space? if the latter is the default behaviour, is it possible to change that?     I'm writing some code that needs to change function signatures. Right now, I'm using Simionato's FunctionMaker class, which uses the (hacky) inspect module, and does a compile. Unfortunately, this still loses the line and file metadata. Does anyone know: If it is possible to overwrite these values in some odd way? If hacking up a class with a complex getattribute() to intercept the values and also try to make the class looks like a function is any more possible than a moose with a flying nun hat? Is there an alternative to the (hacky) inspect module? PEP 362 is dead dead dead? I know decorators and cPickle users fight with this. What other situations is the read only metadata in people's way?
