  • How do i connect with dart community to suggest something

    I am new to this stackoverflow and programming. So HI!!!! What i hope to do is tell something that i think is important to Dart community. If somehow it was possible to code android and or iphone apps using dart that would be very awesome and same for Dart.... There is one path, that is making program in dart compiling it to javascript and then making app using Adobe air..... .But looks inefficient. so is there any other way which i am unaware of, via which i can build an android app at least.. using dart i know you can build an app, using javascript..and css+html...so i am looking for html+css+dart. It'd be cool if adobe air supports dart language directly.

  • textfield value empty when i fill it with javascript

    i am using modalpopup to enter some value in a textfield. after the value is selected in the modalpopup view, the modalpopup is closed and the value has taken the propriate value. Even if the value is displyed in the textfield, the textfield1.text returns me string empty. when i see the source code (html), i see that even that the textfield is displaying something it hasn't really this value in it, because the appropriate html input field hasn't value yet. thats the code i use to fill this textfield. function CloseRequestModal(s) { document.getElementById('<%=txtRequest.ClientID%>').value = s; var mpu = $find('<%=ModalPopupExtender3.ClientID%>'); mpu.hide(); } Please Help, Thanks in advance.

    Thanks to Col. Shrapnel I am using a VERY basic PHP script to send emails. The form is located here. I want to edit the code to display a javascript alert, instead of a redirect. I don't have much PHP knowledge, so how would I edit this code to return a alert instead of a redirect?

  • Dreamweaver utf-8 encoded php page displays wrong chinese character in IE and Chrome, correct in FF

    I have an issue with character encoding: I have this page: http://www.studiomille.jp/class/ (its in japanese but the character in question is from chinese i think) FF shows it correctly, IE (all versions) and Chrome doesn't (sorry larger screenshots): FF Screenshot: IE Screenshot: (there are other character that are different throughout the site, this is just one example) Everything is set to UTF-8: * PHP sends header: Content-Type:text/html; charset=UTF-8 * PHP starts with: mb_language('uni'); mb_internal_encoding('UTF-8'); * meta tag: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/> * all files are saved with UTF-8 encoding with DreamWeaver CS3 * the same font is used in all the browsers. On that page nothing comes from the db, everything is hard coded. The site has the same behavior on my localhost too. So why only FF gets it right and how can I make it work on IE also?

  • Using normals in DirectX 10

    I've got a working OBJ loader that loads vertices, indices, texture coordinates, and normals. As of right now it doesn't process texture coordinates or normals but it stores them in arrays and creates a valid mesh with the vertices and indices. Now I am trying to figure out how can I make the shader use the correct normal in the array for the current vertex if I can't setnormals() to my mesh. If I were to just use an index in my array of normals corresponding to the index in the vertices, how would I retrieve the current index the shader is processing? BTW: I am trying to write a blinn-phong shader technique. Also when I create the input layout and I've added the semantic NORMAL to it, how would I list the multiple semantics in that single parameter? Would I just separate it with a space? PS: If you need to see any code, just let me know.

  • Memory Leak with jQuery UI inside UpdatePanel in ie7

    I have a fairly complex asp.net page based on UpdatePanels and jQuery UI. Unfortunately, when the panels update, the jQuery UI widgets leak memory like crazy in ie7, even if I manually 'destroy' them. Does anyone know a technique/patch to prevent these leaks? I've created a simple example page with a slider inside an UpdatePanel.   • Converting Multiple files to zip and saving them in ownCloud

    I wanted to convert an array with some css, js and html files into a zip file and save them in ownCloud (it has it's own framework but it's knowledge is not required.) What I am saving is an infinite loop of zip files, as in, a zip inside a zip so I can't even check that the code is working correctly or not. Please help.     I work near some PeopleSoft guys and they asked how to change a link in an email notification sent by PeopleSoft so that it is friendly, basically they just wanted the use of an HTML anchor. After sitting down with them and looking through the code I found that the default mime type for all email notifications is text/plain and there does not seem to be any kind of an email API that is called which would allow setting the mime type of the body to text/html. Furthermore, there seems to be no general email configuration in PeopleSoft to, for example, set the default mime type for all emails. Do you know how to change the mime type of an email in PeopleSoft?

  • Get value from ajax-loaded form before submitting

    Hi, I have an app that loads an ajax form when a button is clicked. I then want to check a value in that ajax loaded form called "comment_content" so that I don't send an ajax request if the comment_content is empty. I can capture the form submission using the live method, however, I can't capture the form element because it needs an element. I was looking at livequery but was wondering if there is a more efficient way by using live or if that I shouldn't even bother? I know this is trivially easy with the GUI, but there doesn't seem to be a simple way to do it from from the command line? The easiest alternative, with the minor downside that sometimes the closest mirror may not be the fastest.   • php database session handling problem in IE8!

    I've got an html page from where Im making this call periodically: function logon(id) { $.get("data.php", { action: 'online', userID: id}, function(data){ $("#msg").html(data); }); } What this does is it calls this SQL script in data.php: $sql = "update user_sessions set expires=(expires + 2) where userID = $userID"; mysql_query($sql, $conn) or die(mysql_error()); echo $sql; I can see by the echo that the sql syntax and values are correct, but THE CHANGES TO THE expires FIELD ARE NOT DONE, ONLY IN IE8!! It works fine in other ff, safari, chrome, ie6 and 7. There is nothing browser specific about making this sql call, but the user_sessions table is used to store PHP's sessions. Im only increasing the session expiry time when the call is made. What in IE8's session handling is preventing the session time from changing? Is there any caching or cookie problem that needs to be changed?

So my question is, what is the difference between the add and offer methods? Is it that the Offer method will add duplicates regardless? (I doubt that it is because if a Collection should only have distinct elements this would circumvent that).

  • Decoding and caching json every 60 minutes

    Hi, How do I do this on a php webpage? I want to get and decode a json string and display the results as html on my page, however, I don't want it hotlinking back to the source. If I could write the decoded string to a txt file say weather.txt on the server and keep the html formatting and do it so that the page won't fetch the json script until 60 minutes has passed since the last time it was fetched regardless of how many times the page is opened during that 60 minute period and the weather.txt is viewed. All I can come up with is a simple script that hotlinks, everything else I have tried simply failed. $file = file_get_contents('http://sample.com/weather'); $out = (json_decode($file)); echo $out-mainText; Will appreciate any help with this.

    This is a question about preferences. Assume a programming language offers these two options to make a string with some variables: "Hello, my name is ". name ." and I'm ". age ." years old." StringFormat("Hello, my name is $0 and I'm $1 years old.", name, age) Which do you prefer and why? I have found myself using both without any clear reason to pick either. Considering micro-optimizations is not within the scope of this question. Localization has been mentioned as a reason to go with option #2 and I think it's a very valid reason and deserves to be mentioned here. However, would opinions differ based on aesthetic viewpoints?

This maps perfectly on array of controller method parameters as described in Model Binding To A List article. I want to add label for checkboxes to title them, but I have to guess their ids in hmtl layout. Options[" + i + "].Selected turns into Options_0__Selected How can I avoid hardcoding Id generation in-built asp.net mvc rules? Thank you advance.
