  Hi all, I'm quite new to flex/actionscript and I was wondering if there is an equivalent for php's (and other languages) FILE and LINE identifiers? Basicly I want to do some custom error logging and would like to something like: var mymessage:String = 'Oops, a hiccup occured at ' + __FILE__ + ', line: ' + __LINE__; Where file and line would ofcourse be substituted for their values at compile time.   I'm wondering what the difference is between the following two modules # First Example module Parent module Child end end and # Second Example module Parent::Child end Using the 2nd method, it appears as though the Parent module must be previously defined, otherwise I get an 'uninitialized constant' error Given this, what is the preferred way of defining modules such as this and then adding nested children with regards to syntax and file structure (ie. folders etc). Reference to a Rails way would be greatly appreciated. Are these two examples for all intents and purposes equivalent?

I want to do the equivalent of: int a=3; int b=a; To make this concrete, I have a variable defining the date: !define clock.date {2/2/2009} I then want to define some other variable ${other.date} based on it, something like: !define other.date {=${clock.date}=} However, this doesn't work. Is there any way to do this?

  I'm looking for a proper C# immutable dictionary, with fast update methods (that create a partial copy of the dictionary with slight changes). I've implemented one myself, using zippers to update a red-black tree, but it's not particularly fast. By 'immutable dictionary' I don't just mean readonly or const. I want something that has reasonably fast 'With' and 'Without', or equivalent, methods that return a thing with slight modifications without modifying the original.   Why do we have commands like push and pop? From what I understand pop and push are basically the same as doing a (mov then add) and (sub then mov) on esp respectively.
