  • Outlook 2007 - slow loading messages, etc

    Outlook 2007 is slow to load messages...Why is this, and what can I do to speed it up? Currently have about 850 messages in the Inbox folder, and the preview pane turned off, thus I view messages by double-clicking. This is where it gets slow, when I double click, it brings up a new window with everything but the actual message loaded. Solutions? Thanks! (running Windows 7)

    I'm considering getting a fully loaded Drobo Pro and using it to store VHDs that would run our on a pair of Hyper-V host machines. The host machines would connect to the Drobo Pro via iScsi. Anyone have experience with the Drobo Pro and Hyper-V? My main questions/concern is about speed - is the Drobo fast enough to handle say a dozen VHDs all running concurrently? jon

  • Can't sync iphone when sync podcasts selected

    I've gone through the following steps: Loaded up iTunes 10 on a Windows7 machine Went to iTunes store and subscribed to a podcast Selected sync podcasts Clicked sync However, it always hangs on step 1 of 3 - it just gives a status of 'Backing up' and never progresses past that. I've waited over an hour 3 times now. I'm getting so infuriated with this iTunes software; I'm afraid I might damage my PC in frustration ;-) Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello there, I am making my first RSS-Feed, and I want to host it like this: www.example.com/rss/ I tried to name the xml-file "index.xml" and place it inside the directory, however, when I type http://www.example.com/rss/ i arrive at "Index of /rss" where the file is listed as being part of the directory, but it is not loaded automatically.   • sqlldr job not running through Autosys

    I have a shell script that if run manually or via Cron executes fine and loads a delimited file using sqlldr to the database successfully. However via Autosys the script executes, sqlldr says it was successful, however the data is never actually loaded into the database. Has anyone ever experienced this before with the sqlldr/Autosys combination, and if so, knows of a workaround/fix?

    I was stupid enough to compile sqlite3 from source and install it to /usr, overriding default library. This being done, Google Chrome doesn't launch anymore, crashing with this output: Dyld Error Message: Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libsqlite3.dylib Referenced from: /System/Library/Frameworks/Security.framework/Versions/A/Security Reason: no suitable image found.     I have Window 2003 server with AD installed. The file server is used to share the folder across network. However after 1 hour suddenly I can't access my share - it asks me the password and then when I enter it it does not allow me, and say access denied. When I try to open mmc.exe on server it says: The application has failed to start because MS.dll was not loaded How can I fix this problem? Can I re-install MMC?

  • How do you fix a MySQL “Incorrect key file” error when you can’t repair the table?

    I'm trying to run a rather large query that is supposed to run nightly to populate a table. I'm getting an error saying Incorrect key file for table '/var/tmp/#sql_201e_0.MYI'; try to repair it but the storage engine I'm using (whatever the default is, I guess?) doesn't support repairing tables. how do I fix this so I can run the query? We are under pressure to get this table loaded for a client.

I wonder if NoScript protects against the kind of exploits written about; or whether the browser can be exploited regardless of having the extension loaded. Any opinions?   • TomCat starts, but does not load properly

    Hey guys, I've been working on this for a day now and still don't know what's wrong. I am essentially building a second environment for our web and app server. I got apache to load up just fine, but tomcat is proving to be difficult. It appears to start and load just fine, but when it comes to loading our application, its just got stuck for 2-5 minutes and then shut down.     Login Windows load modern UI Only when I click on the "Desktop" tile shortcut that my desktop is really loaded, it take a few seconds to open everything (like rainmeter and other things) How can I make windows load both modern UI and my desktop on the background? I don't want to skip the modern UI just autoload the desktop. Similar to add something.exe to the startup, but what executable should I use? I've tried explorer.exe but didn't work.

  • Fedora 13 post security update boot problem

    Hello. About a month ago I installed a security update that had new Kernek 2.6.34.x from 2.6.33.x), this is when the problem occurred for the first time. After the install my computer would not boot at all, black screen without any visible hard drive activity (I gave it good 30 minutes on black screen, before took actions)... I poped in installation DVD and went in rescue mode to change back the boot option to old kernel (was just a guess where the problem was). After restart computer loaded just file, took a long time for it to start because of SELinux targeted policy relabel is required. Relabeling could take very long time depending on file size. I assumed that the update got messed up somehow and continued working with modified boot option. Couple of days ago, there was another kernel update. I installed it and same problem as before. This rules out corrupted update theory... Black screen right after 'BIOS' screen before OS gets loaded. I had to rescue system again... Below is copy of my grub.conf file.   • Problems updating to Windows 8.1

    yesterday I attempted to upgrade to windows 8.1 from windows 8. My brother downloaded it on his computer the day before then. I got it from the Windows store. It downloaded and prompted me to restart so I did. It just had the windows 8 loading screen with the HP sign above it, no percentages or anything else, I waited for about 2 hours and while I was waiting I did some research. After reading I saw it could take 20 minutes to an hour to update, but it had already been 2 hours. I read another article and it said someone restarted their computer and it restored to windows 8.0. That's what I did and it worked. So I tried again and the same thing happens, so instead of waiting I decided I would just restart it again. I tried again and this time it showed a percentage it said,"Setting Up" After it reached 100% it went back to what happened before HP sign and just loaded again, I thought it would be different this time because it did show percentages. I waited an hour and nothing happened so I restarted the computer again. This time when I restarted it, it didn't restore, so I turned the laptop of for around 30 minutes turned it back on and it said,"Attempting to restore to previous version of Windows" It said that for around 10 minutes and it restored, so I shut downed my computer for an hour and did some more research, later I found that I needed to update my drivers my drivers we're updated so I did some more research after this I saw I needed to search for updates via: SettingsChange PC settingsWindows Update. It said I already had automatic updates on, I decided to check for updates and it said there was one update scheduled for Saturday. I didn't think this could change anything so I updated what I could. I tried to install it again it was around 11:30 last night when it was done downloading and it prompted me to restart but I had gone to sleep. I woke up today and saw it showed the HP sign and loaded again. I tried restarting it again but this didn't work I had to shut it of for 30 minutes and try again and it worked. So now I'm posting this seeing If I can get any help with this problem. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
