  • Use Hudson Build Parameter in Grails Build Target

    I have created two Hudson String Parameters in my parametrized build configuration: svnRoot, and svnBranch. I can reference these just fine when specifying my Repository URL: ${svnRoot}/${svnBranch}/subProject. But I have not been able to reference them as part of my Grails Build Target: "build-applet ${svnRoot}/${svnBranch}/appletProject username password" "war --non-interactive". build-applet invokes a Gant script in the Grails project at scripts\BuildApplet.groovy.   • Databinding a property with a parameter

    I would like to databind to a property that requires arguments. What is the best way do to this? are there work arounds? I'm open to any suggestions. I thought about defining custom columns and cells because the parameters that the property requires are available from the within the object bound to the row, but I'm having trouble materialising this idea.   • $.(ajax) wrapper for Jquery - passing parameters to delegates

    I use $.(ajax) function extensively in my app to call ASP.net web services. I would like to write a wrapper in order to centralize all the ajax calls. I found few simple solutions, but none address an issue of passing parameters to delegates, for example, if i have: $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "http://localhost/TemplateWebService/TemplateWebService/Service.asmx/GetFoobar", data: jsonText, contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(response) { var results = (typeof response.d) == 'string' ? eval('(' + response.d + ')') : response.d; OnSuccess(results, someOtherParam1, someOtherParam2); }, error: function(xhr, status, error) { OnError(); } }); The wrapper to this call would have to have the way to pass someOtherParam1, someOtherParam2 to the OnSuccess delegate...Aside from packing the variables into a generic array, I can't think of other solutions. How did you guys address this issue?

Because it's a Remote Session Bean, i have to annotate it with the following Java Annotation: @Target({ElementType.TYPE}) @Retention(RetentionPolicy.RUNTIME) public @interface Remote { Class[] value() default {}; } I only found this example for scala 2.7. In Scala 2.7, its possible to define the session bean like this: @Remote {val value = Array(classOf[ITest])} class MyEJB ... How can i use this annotation the same way with Scala 2.8? I already tried many different versions, all resulting in "annotation argument needs to be a constant", "illegal start of simple expression". All of these definitions don't work: @Remote{val value = Array(classOf[PersonScalaEJB])} @Remote(val value = Array(classOf[PersonScalaEJB])) @Remote(Array(classOf[PersonScalaEJB]))

  • Misalignement in the output Bitmap created from a byte array

    I am trying to understand why I have troubles creating a Bitmap from a byte array. I post this after a careful scrutiny of the existing posts about Bitmap creation from byte arrays, like the followings: Creating a bitmap from a byte[], Working with Image and Bitmap in c#?, C#: Bitmap Creation using bytes array My code is aimed to execute a filter on a digital image 8bppIndexed writing the pixel value on a byte [] buffer to be converted again (after some processing to manage gray levels) in a 8BppIndexed Bitmap My input image is a trivial image created by means of specific perl code: https://www.box.com/shared/zqt46c4pcvmxhc92i7ct Of course, after executing the filter the output image has lost the first and last rows and the first and last columns, due to the way the filter manage borders, so from the original 256 x 256 image i get a 254 x 254 image. Just to stay focused on the issue I have commented the code responsible for executing the filter so that the operation really performed is an obvious: ComputedPixel = InputImage.GetPixel(myColumn, myRow).R; I know, i should use lock and unlock but I prefer one headache one by one.   • Why can't I wrap the ServletRequest when trying to capture JSP Output

    I am trying to dispatch in a servlet request handler to the JSP processor and capture the content of it. I am providing wrapper instances for the ServletRequest and ServletResponse, they implement the corresponding HTTPServletRequest/-Response interfaces, so they should be drop-in replacements. All methods are currently passed to the original Servlet Request object (I am planning to modify some of them soon). Additionally I have introduced some new methods. (If you want to see the code: http://code.google.com/p/gloudy/source/browse/trunk/gloudyPortal/src/java/org/gloudy/gloudlet/impl/RenderResponseImpl.java) The HttpServletResponse uses it's own output streams to capture the output. When I try to call request.getRequestDispatcher("/WEB-INF/views/test.jsp").include(request, response); With my request and response wrappers the method returns and no content has been captured. When I tried to pass the original request object it worked! But that's not what I need in the long run... request.getRequestDispatcher("/WEB-INF/views/test.jsp").include(request.getServletRequest(), response); This works. getservletRequest() returns the original Request, given by the servlet container. Does anyone know why this is not working with my wrappers?

    Does anybody know if it is possible to return an associative array as the result of an Oracle function, if so do you have any examples? I have an Oracle package which contains an associative array declaration as defined below: TYPE EVENTPARAM IS TABLE OF NUMBER INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER; This is then used in a stored procedure outside the package as follows: v_CompParams areva_interface.eventparam; The intention is to store an associative array of strings in the variable v_CompParams, returned from a Parse function in another package. The definition for which is as follows: PACKAGE STRING_MANIP IS TYPE a_array IS TABLE OF NUMBER INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER; FUNCTION Parse (v_string VARCHAR2, v_delim VARCHAR2) RETURN a_array; FUNCTION RowCount(colln IN a_array) RETURN NUMBER; END; The code which implements this is: v_CompParams := STRING_MANIP.PARSE(v_CompID,v_Delim); Unfortunately it doesn't work, I get the error 'PLS-00382: expression is of wrong type'. I foolishly assumed, that since a_array derives from the same source Oracle type as the variable v_CompParams, that there would be no problem casting between them. Any help much appreciated.   • ASP.NET output caching - dynamically update dependencies

    Hi All, I have an ASP.NET application which requires output caching. I need to invalidate the cached items when the data returned from a web service changes, so a simple duration is not good enough. I have been doing a bit of reading about cache dependencies and think I have the right idea. It looks like I will need to create a cache dependency to my web service. To associate the page output with this dependency I think I should use the following method: Response.AddCacheItemDependency(cacheKey); The thing I am struggling with is what I should add to the cache? The dependency my page has is to a single value returned by the web service. My current thinking is that I should create a Custom Cache Dependency via subclassing CacheDependency, and store the current value in the cache. I can then use Response.AddCacheItemDependency to form the dependency. I can then periodically check the value and for a NotifyDependencyChange in order to invalidate my cached HTTP response. The problem is, I need to ensure that the cache is flushed immediately, so a periodic check is not good enough. How can I ensure that my dependant object in the cache which represents the value returned by the web service is re-evaluated before the HTTP response is fetched from the cache? Regards, Colin E.

    I am trying to set up TeamCity to build and deploy an ASP.NET MVC application. I have the setup running successfully on other servers using TeamCity 4.5, but the new server is running TeamCity 6, and I am having trouble getting it to work as expected. TeamCity manages to get the files from source control, and the project (Visual Studio Solution 2008 set to "Build") builds and outputs the necessary files as expected. The problem seems to be with my artifact paths, as the output files are not copied to the website folder. My solution consists of dozen projects, of which the "Web" project is the interesting one in this case. The build checkout directory is C:\TeamCity\buildAgent\work\7da320cebf0ee541, and the "Web"-project is found in C:\TeamCity\buildAgent\work\7da320cebf0ee541\Web I have set up my build configuration with the following artifact paths (relative from checkout directory to the folder containing the website): Web/bin=>../../../../inetpub/wwwroot/staging/bin Web/Content=>../../../../inetpub/wwwroot/staging/Content Web/Views=>../../../../inetpub/wwwroot/staging/Views Web/Media=>../../../../inetpub/wwwroot/staging/Media Web/*.aspx=>../../../../inetpub/wwwroot/staging Web/*.asax=>../../../../inetpub/wwwroot/staging (I've tried with more ../ just in case, but it didn't make a difference).   • Matlab postpones disp calls when doing demanding calculations why is that?

    I am implementing an algorithm in Matlab. Among other things it calculates shortest paths etc. so its quite demanding for my old computer. I've put out disp calls through out the program to see what's happening all the time. However when starting on a particulary heavy for loop the disp seemes not to be called until the loop is over even though it comes before the loop. Why is that? I though that Matlab was really linear or am I just choking it with to many calculations and the disp calls get the lowest priority?

  • "[object Object]" passed instead of the actual object as parameter

    I am using Heroku with a Ruby on Rails application, and running from Safari. I have the following Ajax call: $.ajax({ type : 'POST', url : '/test_page', data : {stuff: arr1}, dataType : 'script' }); arr1 is supposed to be an array of objects. There's a console.log right before that, and it is: [Object, Object, Object, Object, Object, ...] However, I got an error on the server side when I made this ajax call. The logs showed 2012-10-01T03:13:34+00:00 app[web.1]: Parameters: {"stuff"=>"[object Object]"} 2012-10-01T03:13:34+00:00 app[web.1]: WARNING: Can't verify CSRF token authenticity 2012-10-01T03:13:34+00:00 app[web.1]: NoMethodError (undefined method `to_hash' for "[object Object]":String): 2012-10-01T03:13:34+00:00 app[web.1]: Completed 500 Internal Server Error in 1ms I'm unable to replicate the error. It's really confusing to me - what would cause that string to sometimes be passed to the server instead of the object?
