  Hello! I've a custom shape drawing using coregraphics and i want to add a drop shadow and a gradient to it also. I've been trying and searching a lot of informations on how to combine and do this, but i can't get it to work. I'm able to draw only one either. Anyone doing this already or know how to do this? I'm currently researching new platform/language direction and we deal with a lot of xml. We also do a lot of string manipulation, what advantages/disadvantages do different languages have in regards to string manipulation. • How to wrap category labels in JfreeChart

  I have Stacked Bar Chart created using JFreeChart. The labels of the category are quite big and they overlap with the label of the next Bar. I would like to wrap it to the next line. I did some searching and found that i have to use the below code. setMaximumCategoryLabelLines(2) in the CategoryAxis and still it doesn't wrap to the next line. Please suggest solutions.

• List of valid characters for the fragment identifier in an URL?

  I'm using the fragment identifier to create a permalink for AJAX events in my web app similar to this guy. Something like: http://www.myapp.com/calendar#filter:year/2010/month/5 I've done quite a bit of searching but can't find a list of valid characters for the fragment idenitifer. The W3C spec doesn't offer anything. Do I need to encode the characters the same as the URL in has in general? There doesn't seem to be any good information on this anywhere.

  How can I get an HtmlElement if the source code doesn't have the "id=''", but only has the "name=''". Document.GetElementById() doesn't work, and Document.All[""] doesn't work (obviously, because there is no ID. How can I simulate a form post? • How can I get Rails to interpret a text field as a datetime

  My database has a datetime field, and I want to be able to create new entries. Obviously the Rails datetime_select helper isn't the most user friendly thing to have in your form. I'd rather have a text field for the datetime (or one for the date, and one for the time) and interpret the inputs like PHP strtotime can. I might just be searching the wrong keywords. Surely this has been discussed in great depth somewhere. Thanks :0)

  I have been searching for an easy way to get the hostname of the machine where Symfony runs in Symfony (so that my app adapts when it is used on a host with a different ServerName), but I couldn't find one. • Does calling a click method effect the HtmlPage object if there is a 404?

  If I call a click method on a HtmlAnchor, and say that page returns a 404, does that mean the HtmlPage will effect, so searching for another link on the page will result in an error because the page's HTML is the error page (assuming the link is NOT on the error page). Can I manually set the page's HTML, and then locate and click on links and continue on from this approach? (other than connecting via a URL)
