• Adding CNAME entry to nginx for cdn rewrite

  I am using apache + nginx (for serving static content) and just bought a CDN. I have added a CNAME entry to my CDN URL, which should be cdn.example.com and pointing to the original cdn url. xxx.netdna-cdn.com/ But probably because of my nginx vhost file when I run cdn.example.com, it opens the first server entry site in my vhost file. I have multiple sites in my server. I have added CNAME from CPanel DNS editor as well. No luck, so I think I need to add something in the vhost.conf.

  When I insert an image into OneNote 2007 using C# my images have 'Make Text in Image Searchable' set to Disabled. How do I insert an image with Make Text in Image Searchable enabled, or how do I enable this property after the image is imported. I have already imported a lot of images. How to I make the existing imported images searchable? I already know how to do this manually by right clicking the image and setting the language. The OCR works fine, I just need to do it automatically.

(The JS file is on another domain.) I'm wondering if it's valid to do the following for convenience sake: <script type="text/javascript" src="//cdn.example.com/js_file.js"></script> I'm wondering if it's valid to remove the http: or https: ? It seems to work everywhere I have tested, but are there any cases where it doesn't work?

  Hi guys I'm working on a google apps application. Basically I've set it up so users can add multiple gmail addresses and check on their inboxes in the application. It works fine with a google apps email address however when I add a gmail address it just dies out.   I'm trying to view the text of HTML files in a reasonable way. After I remove all of the markup and retain only the visible text, I obtain a String that looks something like this: \n\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n \n Title here \n\n\n \n\n \n\n Menu Item 1 \n\n \n\n Menu Item 2 \n\n\n \n\n you get the point. I would like to use String.replaceAll(String regex, String regex) to replace any whitespace substring that contains more than two occurances of \n with "\n\n". Any ideas?

• YUI Autocomplete: search after pasting?

  I'm using an auto-complete widget from YUI to implement live search as in the examples. However, it works fine when search text is typed in, but fails to work when the text is pasted into the field. Which would be the proper way to initiate an autocompletion on paste? Haven't found anything for that in the documentation... EDIT: Pasting is not Ctrl-V, it's usually "Paste" from the context-menu. YUI does react to a keypress, but doesn't if anything is pasted by the mouse.

• problem with squid and ecap for content analysis

  Hi, I need to inspect the content of a form before it is processed on the server. I am using squid proxy server with ecap adapter. In the adapter I can see the text typed in the text area but the content doesn't get to my jsp page when using an ecap adapter that allows me to take a look a the data coming in. I am using Squid proxy 3.1.10 with ecap adapter libecap v0.0.3 and Websphere App server 6.1. Anybody has some idea about what is causing this? Thank you, Cornel

• ASMX Web Service - "This web service is using http://tempuri.org/ as its default namespace." message

  I've created a web service using Visual Studio ( 2005 - I know I'm old school ) and it all compiles fine but when it opens I get warned thus: This web service does not conform to WS-I Basic Profile v1.1. And furthermore: This web service is using http://tempuri.org/ as its default namespace. Which would be fine except my service begins thus: [WebService(Namespace = "http://totally-not-default-uri.com/servicename")] Searching the entire solution folder for "tempuri" returns nothing. I can't find it mentioned in any configuration page acessible from Visual Studio. And yet it's right there in the wsdl:definitions list for the xmlns:tns attribute on the web service descriptor page when I view it through the browser and as targetNamespace in the same tag. I'm viewing it using Visual Studio's "debug" mode with the built in server from that. Seems like something has got cached somewhere but I can't work out what and where- I've tried stopping and restarting the server, cleaning and rebuilding the service and going through the associated text config files with a text editor but no dice. Any idea what is going on?

• Https in java ends up with strange results

  I'm trying to illustrate to students how https is used in java. But i have the feeling my example is not really the best out there... The code works well on my windows 7: I start the server, go to https://localhost:8080/somefile.txt and i get asked to trust the certificate, and all goes well. When I try over http (before or after accepting the certificate) I just get a blank page, which is ok for me. BUT when I try the exact same thing on my windows XP: Same thing, all goes well. But then (after accepting the certificate first), I'm also able to get all the the files through http! (if I first try http before https followed by accepting the certificate, I get no answer..) I tried refreshing, hard refreshing a million times but this should not be working, right? Is there something wrong in my code?   Hello, because it's almost obvious that either Thunderbird or Firefox freeze my whole system after some time, I'd like to not use FF at the moment and let Thunderbird run only for a short time as long as I check e-mails. Thunderbird web links should be opened with opera from now. For that I went in Thunderbird to Preferences-Advanced-General-Config Editor and set the following: network.protocol-handler.app.http -> /usr/bin/opera network.protocol-handler.app.https -> /usr/bin/opera network.protocol-handler.warn-external.ftp -> true network.protocol-handler.warn-external.http -> true network.protocol-handler.warn-external.https -> true Moreover I changed in Gnome in System-Preferences-Prefered Applications Opera as webbrowser and I checked in FF that it should warn if FF is not the default browser (obviously it isn't anymore). Unfortunately all of these settings doesn't work. Thunderbird still opens web links with FF. Any explantions why? (I already restarted Thunderbird although I don't have to, but no effect)

• CSS Margin problem

  I'm starting out in HTML and CSS. I have a div element on the page, which doesn't fill the whole page. In it- there's a ul element and some list items in it. I want to put the list 227px from the top of the div element, but I can't manage to accomplish this- it pushes it more. Also- between the list items I want a margin of 40 pixels, but it also does more. What's the problem? • Prolog - Finding the current directory, relative directory for 'tell' predicate

  I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to get prolog to spit out a text file where I want it to. I'm currently doing a bunch of operations and then using tell('output.txt') to record the output. Now the problem is that when I do this, it creates this file in the SWI \bin\ folder. I was wondering if there's a way to make it create this file in the directory containing the actual .pl file. So even if the file was moved (and it will be), the text file gets created right where the source file is. Long story short, is there a way to get the location of the source file once the source file has been consulted? Many Thanks!

  I am working on a large multilingual website and I am considering different approaches for making it multilingual. The possible alternatives I can think of are: The Gettext functions with generation of .po files One MySQL table with the translations and a unique string ID for each text PHP-files with arrays containing the different translations with unique string IDs As far as I have understood the Gettext functions should be most efficient, but my requirement is that it should be possible to change a text string in the original reference language (English) without the other translations of that string automatically reverting back to English just because a couple of words changed. Is this possible with Gettext? What is the least resource demanding solution? Is using the Gettext functions or PHP files with arrays more or less equally resource demanding? Any other suggestions for more efficient solutions?
