  • jquery masked input with asp.net control problem

    Hi, I have problem while using jquery maskedinput with asp.net textbox.     I want to modify the stock JQuery UI slider so that the handle has a arrow on it rather than being a square. i.e. I want to use a custom image as the handle.   • asp.net hover menu item

    When I hover on a static menu item that has a dynamic menu, the hover styles are in effect but once I start navigating the dynamic menu the static menu item goes back to the non-hover styles. Does anyone know how to make them stick until I stop ''using' that menu? I tried the 'selected' static menu item styles but that doesn't work - if I use them, even when I stop navigating the menu the last selected static menu item will display the selected style - after using the menu I want the styles to revert to the normal styles....

    Is there any way to disable the auto-indent Xcode performs to align colons when breaking up a long method name into multiple lines?     i am trying to get date from my implementation of jquery date picker, add it to a string and display the resulting image in my div. Something however is just not working. Can anyone check out the code and have a look at it?   • Need Java Swing HTML canvas with support for integrated swing controls

I know substance and some other look and feels help with this some, but I was wondering if there is a way I can actually use some kind of html panel / canvas to create the content in html, embedding swing controls in the rendering so as to still use listeners and get the functionality.   • If I build a solution in C#, how do I add a database to the final program?

    Apologies if this is a very basic question, but I am preparing to create an executable for a Visual Studio C# Application. (My first time!) My application uses a database that I'm currently storing in SQL Server. This works fine while I'm coding since I created the database manually on my computer. I see that VS2008 has created an .exe in my bin/debug folder, but how do I ensure that any new users (that doesn't already have the database) doing a fresh install gets the database also?

    I'm using ASIHttpRequests and an ASINetworkQueue in an iphone app to retrieve some 100k XML files and a lot of thumbnails from a web service. I'd like to cache the requests in the style of NSURLCache. ASI doesn't seem to support caching as is, and I looked at the code and it drops to C to create the requests, so inserting the NSURLCache layer seemed tricky. What's the best way to implement this?

I was expecting them to be like normal widow dialog color. Any clue to make the property sheet, pages background to be like other normal MFC dialogs appears? I use Visual Studio 2008 MFC without .NET CLR.

  • Fluid CSS: floating column with max-width and overflow

    I'm using a fluid layout in the new theme that I'm working on for my blog. I often blog about code and include <pre> blocks within the posts. The float: left column for the content area has a max-width so that the column stops at a certain maximum width and can also be shrunk: +----------+ +------+ | text | | text | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | +----------+ +------+ max shrunk What I want is for the <pre> elements to be wider than the text column so that I can fit 80-character-wrapped code without horizontal scroll bars. But I want the <pre> elements to overflow from the content area, without affecting its fluidity: +----------+ +------+ | text | | text | | | | | +----------+--+ +------+------+ | code | | code | +----------+--+ +------+------+ | | | | +----------+ +------+ max shrunk But, max-width stops being fluid once I insert the overhanging <pre> in there: the width of the column remains at the specified max-width even when I shrink the browser beyond that width. I've reproduced the issue with this bare-minimum scenario: <div style="float: left; max-width: 460px; border: 1px solid red"> <p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit</p> <pre style="max-width: 700px; border: 1px solid blue"> function foo() { // Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit } </pre> <p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit</p> </div> I noticed that doing either of the following brings back the fluidity: Remove the <pre> (doh...) Admittedly, I don't have a full grasp of how the box model works with floats with overflowing content, so I don't understand why the combination of float: left on the container and the <pre> inside it cripple the max-width of the container. I'm observing the same problem on Firefox/Chrome/Safari/Opera. IE6 (the crazy one) seems happy all the time. This also doesn't seem dependent on quirks/standards mode. Update I've done further testing to observe that max-width seems to get ignored when the element has a float: left. I glanced at the W3C box model chapter but couldn't immediately see an explicit mention of this behaviour. Any pointers?

  • Flex chart axis title blinking on resize

    I am having a chart with titles for horizontal and vertical axis. the verticalAxisTitleAlignment property of the vertical axis renderer is set to vertical. The application is a portal sort of thing and this chart is placed inside a small window. on click of the window am resizing the parent of the chart. but at that time the title of the axis is blinking and it provides a feeling that the resizing is not smooth. I dont understand why this happens? does the tile renders each time when the component is maximized? is there any way to stop that?   • Cufon text z-index (IE6 and IE7 stylish select box bug)

    Hello, I'm replacing some text with cufon on my page and I'm using jquery stylish select box plugin (http://www.scottdarby.com/plugins/stylish-select/0.4/) to style select boxes. The problem is that, in IE6 and IE7, select box goes under the cufonized text. (the select box is actually an <ul>). Anyone had this issue before? Thanks, Adrian

  • Customizing toolbar items in VS2010

    Has the menu & toolbar customization functionality in VS2010 been reduced? I can't seem to be able to select an icon for an added command, nor set it to be icon-only. Previous versions of Visual Studio supported this functionality and even allowed the creation/editing of custom icons. Is this something that has suffered as a result of the move to the WPF-authored UI or am I missing something?

  • Update Panel error: Control with the ID "xxx" could not be found in the UpdatePanel

    I have a composite drop down calendar user control that consists of a textbox and and calendar image and a validation control. I expose a property called "TextBox" on the usercontrol which returns a reference to the textbox used within the control. This is the textbox that the user enters the date into. In the ASPX page, I have an instance of this usercontrol: <uc1:DropDownCalendar ID="dtmDateFirstEntry" runat="server" Required="True" /> In my code behind, I want to detect when a user has tabbed off of the textbox and, using an UpdatePanel, referesh an appropriate message depending on the date that was specified. I didn't think that the trigger control had to be within the UpdatePanel. I thought that was the whole point of adding the trigger. How do I refresh this update panel changes to the text in the date usercontrol. Next I will have to add other triggers to trigger the refreshing of the Update Panel from other controls scattered across the page, so clearly all of the trigger sources cannot be within the UpdatePanel.
