• Export to excel in TFS 2012

  I've installed Visual studion 2012 RC. I'm working withTFS2012 and When I want to export an user story to excel I see the following error: "TF400422: Failed to open in Microsoft Excel: Error loading type library/Dll. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80029C4A (TYPE_E_CANTLOADLIBRARY))" I'm using Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010. Version: 14.0.6112.5000 (64-bit) This page Shows the meaning of many error number but this error (code: TF400422) isn't there. Perhaps this relates to this other issue. Thanks!!

• "Invalid provider type specified" when signing clickonce manifest in VS2008

  I have a certificate issued by a CA on our intranet (it's a V3 sha1 pfx file). When I use this in the signing part of my clickonce (vsto addin) project, I get the error: C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v9.0\OfficeTools\Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Office.Office2007.targets(250,9): error MSB3482: An error occurred while signing: Invalid provider type specified. Does anyone know what's going on here? Thanks!

• Setting up an IP Camera with silverlight

  I am trying to set up an IP camera and have it work through Silverlight I am using both Microsoft Expression and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. I am able to do encoding with a usb connected web cam but I cannot find a way to use the encoder to connect to ip camera connected to our switch. Does anyone have experience setting up an ip camera to encode into the Silverlight framework?

Also planning to use WPF/Silverlight in the future. Will going for a i7 really benefit me or an i3 or an i5 will suffice for my needs?

• Create a UPnP Control Point in Silverlight

  I'm interested in creating a UPnP control point in Silverlight. To me that implies that I'll need to use COM interop with Microsoft's upnp.dll (and the SL application will have to be out of browser and platform specific). Is there any source code available in C# that shows how to create a control point with Microsoft's stack? If there are other options available I'd like to hear about it, from reading around the web it appears the MS stack is buggy.

• Combining MVVM Light Toolkit and Unity 2.0

  This is more of a commentary than a question, though feedback would be nice. I have been tasked to create the user interface for a new project we are doing. We want to use WPF and I wanted to learn all of the modern UI design techniques available. Since I am fairly new to WPF I have been researching what is available. I think I have pretty much settled on using MVVM Light Toolkit (mainly because of its "Blendability" and the EventToCommand behavior!), but I wanted to incorporate IoC also. So, here is what I have come up with. I have modified the default ViewModelLocator class in a MVVM Light project to use a UnityContainer to handle dependency injections.   I simply want flowing text on the left, and a help box on the right. The help box should extend all the way to the bottom. If you take out the outer StackPanel below it works great. • Setting a Visual State from a data bound enum in WPF

  Hey all, I've got a scenario where I want to switch the visiblity of 4 different content controls. The visual states I have set opacity, and collapsed based on each given state (See code.) What I'd like to do is have the visual state bound to a property of my View Model of type Enum. I tried using DataStateBehavior, but it requires true/false, which doesn't work for me. So I tried DataStateSwitchBehavior, which seems to be totally broken for WPF4 from what I could tell. Is there a better way to be doing this? I'm really open to different approaches if need be, but I'd really like to keep this enum in the equation.   Hello everybody. I want to call a specific function on my C# application at a specific time. At first i thought about using a Timer (System.Time.Timer), but that soon became impossible to use. Why? Simple. The Timer Class requires a Interval in milliseconds, but considering that i might want the function to be executed, lets says in a week that would mean: 7 Days = 168 hours; 168 Hours = 10,080 minutes; 10,080 Minutes = 6,048,000 seconds; 6,048,000 Seconds = 6,048,000,000 milliseconds; So the Interval would be 6,048,000,000; Now lets remember that the Interval accepted data type is int, and as we know int range goes from -2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647. That makes Timer useless in this case once we cannot set a Interval bigger that 2,147,483,647 milliseconds. So i need a solution where i could specify when the function should be called. Something like this: solution.ExecuteAt = "30-04-2010 15:10:00"; solution.Function = "functionName"; solution.Start(); So when the System Time would reach "30-04-2010 15:10:00" the function would be executed in the application. How can this problem be solved? Thanks just by taking the time to read my question. But if you could provide me with some help i would be most grateful. Additional Info: What these functions will do? Getting climate information and based on that info: Starting / Shutting down other Applications (most of them Console Based); Sending custom Commands to those Console Applications; Power down, Rebooting, Sleep, Hibernate the computer; And if possible schedule the BIOS to Power Up the Computer; EDIT: It would seem that the Interval accepted data type is double, however if you set a value bigger that an int to the Interval, and call Start() it throws a exception [0, Int32.MaxValue]. EDIT 2: Jørn Schou-Rode suggested using Ncron to handle the scheduling tasks, and at first look this seems a good solution, but i would like to hear about some who as worked with it.

• Where is the Java Language Conversion Assistant (JLCA) 3.0?

  Microsoft supposedly offer(ed?) something called the JLCA, which converts Java into C#. I can't find any download or anything for it. Does anyone have any information about this tool and how to use it in VS2008/2010? I can find version 2.0 but not 3.0... supposedly it came built into VS2005?
