• Cleanest way to tell if 3 times are within half an hour of each other

  I have 3 date / time input boxes on a form and the user cannot select any times within half an hour of each other. I've converted all values to epoch format using a Javascript implementation of strtotime, but not sure how to recursively check that any of the times are actually half an hour apart. I can hand code all checks, but it would be cleaner to write a recursive function (especially if there were theoretically more than 3 time slots). Did some Google research but no luck. Any suggestions on implementing this in Javascript or Jquery. Thanks.

  I have a collection of items. I am presenting the items in a WPF ListBox using DataTemplate. Part of the DataTemplate is a Thumb which is used for resizing and visually separating between items. The Thumb.Visibility is binded to a property of the item (for example, the last item doesn’t have a visible Thumb). The problem is that selecting an item in the ListBox selects the Thumb as well, as it is part of the ListBoxItem. The desired behavior is to select only the data without the Thumb. How is it possible to get this behavior? I don’t want to add items by code the ListBox or to handle the visibility of the Thumb manually. Currently I get all this from the DataTemplate.

• Iterating Oracle collections of objects with out exploding them

  I'm using Oracle object data types to represent a timespan or period. And I've got to do a bunch of operations that involve working with collections of periods. Iterating over collections in SQL is significantly faster than in PL/SQL. CREATE TYPE PERIOD AS OBJECT ( beginning DATE, ending DATE, ... some member functions...); CREATE TYPE PERIOD_TABLE AS TABLE OF PERIOD; -- sample usage SELECT <<period object>>.contains(period2) FROM TABLE(period_table1) t The problem is that the TABLE() function explodes the objects into scalar values, and I really need the objects instead. I could use the scalar values to recreate the objects but this would incur the overhead of re-instantiating the objects. And the period is designed to be subclassed so there would be additional difficulty trying to figure out what to initialize it as. Is there another way to do this that doesn't destroy my objects?

  I have a table where each row has 13 TD elements. I want to show and hide the first 10 of them when I toggle a link. These 10 TD elements all have an IDs with the prefix "foo" and a two digit number for its position (e.g., "foo01"). What's the fastest way to select them across the entire table? $("td:nth-child(-n+10)") or $("td[id^=foo]") or is it worth concatenating all of the ids? $("#foo01, #foo02, #foo03, #foo04, #foo05, #foo06, #foo07, #foo08, #foo09, #foo10") Is there another approach I should be considering as well?

The matches that fit the begging of the string should come first then sort alphabetically. I.e. If the table contains FOO, BAR and RAP a search for the string 'R' should yield: RAP BAR In that order. • Sql Server copying table information between databases

  Hi, I have a script that I am using to copy data from a table in one database to a table in another database on the same Sql Server instance. The script works great when I am connected to the Sql Server instance as myself as I have dbo access to both databases. The problem is that this won't be the case on the client's Sql Server. They have seperate logins for each database (Sql Authentication Logins). Does anyone know if there is a way to run a script under these circumstances.   I am working on a transportation web app and I am having a bit of a problem. First, I want to be able to define a shipping corridor, say like I-95 between Baltimore MD and Richmond VA. And store what parameters I need to define this route. Users will then use a web interface and can select various routes, in this case, I-95. Vendors will be posting constantly changing pickup locations in the application database which have a shelf life of about 2 days. Some of these locations maybe along this route. I am storing the LAT and LONG for the specific location right now. If any of these points ARE along or within 2 mile of the route (just off the highway basically - the ideal check would based on an actual highway exit but at this point anything would work), I want them to show up in my search results. Any ideas or suggestions?

• Getting a sorted distinct list from mySQL

  Goal I'l like to get a list of unique FID's ordered by the the one which has most recently been changed. In this sample table it should return FIDs in the order of 150, 194, 122 Example Data ID FID changeDate ---------------------------------------------- 1 194 2010-04-01 2 122 2010-04-02 3 194 2010-04-03 4 150 2010-04-04 My Attempt I thought distinct and order by would do the trick. I initially tried: SELECT distinct `FID` FROM `tblHistory` WHERE 1 ORDER BY changeDate desc # Returns 150, 122, 194 using GROUP BY has the same result. I'm just barely a SQL amateur, and I'm a bit hung up. What seems to be happening is the aggregating functions find the first occurrence of each and then perform the sort. Is there a way I can get the result I want straight from mySQL or do I have to grab all the data and then sort it in the PHP?

  I have a encrypted sqlite db and its key. (Which is generated by an android program). However, when I open the db in command line I can not read the db. The command line tool is installed by: brew install sqlcipher I open the database by: sqlcipher EnDB.db >pragma key="6b74fcd"; >select * from bizinfo; It keeps telling me "Error: file is encrypted or is not a database" However, if I open the database file with gui app sqlite database browser (which is a windows program and I run it in wine). It pops up a window for me to enter the key, with 6b74fcd as the key it successfully read the database. As I want to automatically process the db in the future, I can not depend on the GUI. Do you know why the command line is not working?

So I want to load the content of the ComboBox List via Ajax after the user typed in a few charachters. So at page load the combobox list should be empty and if something is typed in the list is loaded with the typed text as search text.   Can app scripts access the current selection in a gmail message? I frequently compose messages that include engineering calculations and make use of the Google Calc feature do the calculation or convert to the desired units, e.g. 4000 Btu/hr * 8 hrs in kWh It would be really convenient to be able to select the above, hit a mapped key (e.g. Ctrl-K) and have the inserted after the expression 4000 Btu/hr * 8 hrs in kWh = 0.9378 kWh instead of having to paste the expression into a search box and then copy and paste the answer. I could certainly write a solution using a keymapper and a small python script to grab the current selection, send it to the gcalc api, etc ..., but my real motivation is to get familiar with Apps Scripts's capabilities and limitations. I suppose the uber-question here is "what kinds of user actions and state information can App Script access in Gmail messages (and/or Google docs) that are being edited?"
