  We have a new domain structure we are planning on rolling out in the next few months. Essentially there is a single top level and forest domain controller "mydomain.lan" and two children "us.mydomain.lan" and "pl.mydomain.lan". We want to configure an administrator account or two at the top level domain that then has full administrator permissions on the sub domains. By default the top level administrator cannot access or login to machines on the sub-domains. Running W2K8R2. Ideas?

• What's the simplest way to ask for user input through Modal in Win Form

  What is the simplest way to implement a Modal(popup) MessageBox that allows a custom value to be entered and returned. In my case, a String. Maybe I am over thinking this but I figured I'd ask. I plan to just create a new Form. Add a label, a textbox, two buttons. Assign the textbox to a property and from my main form call a ShowDialog() on it. Will I be able to still access the property that way or should I somehow return the value? Is this a decent way of doing this?

  Say I have this line of code in the view. <?php echo CHtml::activeTextField($model,'start_time'); ?> start_time is a UNIX timestamp. When just displaying it in a view I can apply functions like date() on it. Where should I apply the formatting when I'm displaying it in a form, by using the above line of code? (This case of timestamps/dates might be special, but I'm also interested in how would one go about if it wasn't a date and I just want to work with "value in database" < "different representations of the value in different views. But Problem i am facing is: New Document library are not visible in site. I tried with comparing Field Value of Both Visible and No-Visible Document library. Difference i found is : Visible Library (Created Manually) doesn't contain Version value. were as it it present in library which are created by this code. Can you help me out in this?

  I want to change the variable value based on the number of clicks. So if you click the button once, the cCount should equal 1 and twice it should equal 2. Right now all I'm returning for the value is 0, no matter the amount of clicks.   Hi Guys, Basically I'm developing a (very) simple search engine. You can enter a search term and you are taken to the results page - which works fine. However on the results page, I have a button that will take you to the next 10 results: where $term is the $_POST['term'] value. echo "<input type='hidden' name='term' value='" . $term . "'>"; This causes the following problem with the term is for example "aidan's". When the next 10 button is clicked, the term becomes aidan\ and no further results are found. I am not doing anything to $term. I usually use Java, but am required to use PHP for this uni assignment! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Similar to this Java question. I would like to specify that a variable implements multiple interfaces. For instance private {IFirstInterface, ISecondInterface} _foo; public void SetFoo({IFirstInterface, ISecondInterface} value) { _foo = value; } Requirements: I don't have the ability to add an interface to most type that would be passed in to Foo. So I can't create a third interface that inherits from IFirstInterface and ISecondInterface. I would like to avoid making the containing class generic if possible because the type of Foo doesn't have much to do with the class and the user isn't likely to know it at compile time. I need to use foo to access methods in both interfaces at a later time. I would like to do this in a compiler safe way, i.e. no trying to cast to the interface just before trying to use it. If foo does not implement both interfaces quite a bit of functionality won't work properly. Is this possible?

  I'm so attracted to Acer Revo for the price & the look. As long as I can work on two monitors simultaneously, I'll be happy. Not planning to do heavy video editing or gaming. Occasional movie streaming would be fine. Will mainly use it to do trading, lots of word processing, some photo editing, connecting with friends. Anyone has experience using Revo with 2 or more monitors? The spec says it has VGA and HDMI output but Acer sales person over the phone told me it can support one monitor only..??

  With .NET, I have "Thursday, April 10, 2008 1:30:00 PM" and I want "dddd, dd MMMM, yyyy h:m:s t", "6:09:01 PM" and want ""hh:mm:ss tt", "Fri 29 Aug" and want "ddd d MMM", and so on. It seems I should be able to use DateTimeFormatInfo in some way. I figured I can format the date with each pattern returned by GetAllDateTimePatterns, and when the original date string and the formated date string match then I have the format. Yet, I want to generate custom formats, not the standard formats. I want the format string. I do not want the date. I have both the DateTime value and the formatted string value for the date. I need <formatString> as in ToString(<formatString>).

  Hi, We have a requirement to upload documents to a specific SharePoint document library when a document is sent via email to a specific email address. I think SharePoint has this feature available. What I would like to know more importantly is mapping the information in the body of the email to the custom properties of the document. For example, if a custom field (property) is added to the document in SharePoint say - "Year". I provide the value of this property within the body of the email and attach the document in email. Is it possible that the provided value in the body of the email for the property is updated in SharePoint when the document is uploaded to SharePoint through email? We are using SharePoint 2007.   Hi there! I'm working my way through adapting a template I have been given that is basically a list of products for sale. I want to change it from a top-down list into a table layout. • How do I memoize expensive calculations on Django model objects?

  I have several TextField columns on my UserProfile object which contain JSON objects. I've also defined a setter/getter property for each column which encapsulates the logic for serializing and deserializing the JSON into python datastructures. The nature of this data ensures that it will be accessed many times by view and template logic within a single Request. To save on deserialization costs, I would like to memoize the python datastructures on read, invalidating on direct write to the property or save signal from the model object. Where/How do I store the memo? I'm nervous about using instance variables, as I don't understand the magic behind how any particular UserProfile is instantiated by a query. Is __init__ safe to use, or do I need to check the existence of the memo attribute via hasattr() at each read?   I have an NSArray of JSON file locations. There are stored in the user's/app's Document directory and inside each JSON file is a name value. I'm able to retreive the data from JSON files, I don't need help with tht. But I need help on sorting NSArrays I have no idea how I can do that based on a value inside the file, while not being pathetically slow. This is on the iPhone btw. In sum how do I customly reorder NSArrays.

• Between a jsf page and a managed bean, why the getter method is called twice

  Hi, I have a jsf page with a form has an outputtext in it. The value of outputtext component is called from a backing bean (or managed bean). I know when I code it as #{MyBean.myString} Jsf rename it and calls getMyString() method. However the wierd thing is, when I put a breakpoint to the getter method of this component, I see it is called twice during the page is being rendered. The outputtext is in a h:form, and it is the only component wich is bind to a backingbean. I mean, it is so wierd that jsf should get the value when it first come to the getter method, however it needs to go to the getter method twice. Can you explain what is the reason of this behaviour in jsf? Any help would be appreciated, Best wishes, Baris

  Im attempting to Convert a Price (from an API (code below)). public class Price { public Price(); public Price(double data); public Price(double data, int decimalPadding); } What I would like to do is compare the price from this API to a Double. Simply trying to convert to Double isnt working as I would have hoped. Double bar = 21.75; if (Convert.ToDouble(apiFoo.Value) >= bar) { //code } when I try something like this, I believe it says the value must be lower than infinity. How can I convert this price so they can be compared?

• How to request device token on iphone

  Hello, I am able to use the didRegisterForRemoteNotificationWithDeviceToken callback method to get the device token of my iphone when subscribing to push notifications. My question is how can I get this token again a later time? When a user subscribes to something in my application, I want to send the device token and the id of the item they are subscribing to...but I can't figure out where to get the device token from. I tried using the uniqueIdentifer from the UIDevice class but this value is different than what the original token was. I supposed I could call registerForRemoteNotificationTypes each time my app starts to produce the token. But if I do that, I'm not sure how I can access this value from a different class (my didRegisterForRemoteNotificationWithDeviceToken callback is located in the main application delegate).   I would like to store keys pressed when I listen out for the keyDown on the stage. I can add the listener fine, but I'm not getting the character I want out of the event to store it into a string. • Why will IIS 6 not serve my custom 404 page when I set the URL in 'Custom Errors'?

  I've got an ASP.NET MVC site & I've got an Errors controller with a NotFound action which works great for 404 errors that pass though .NET, but for stuff that doesn't (like static files) I've set the Custom Errors value for 404 to URL with a value of /Errors/NotFound. But when I do this & hit a non-existant page the site just gives me this: The system cannot find the path specified. Is this because it's a dynamic url, can IIS not redirect 404 requests to dynamic urls or have I screwed up the config somewhere?

  I am just starting with perl and would like some help with arrays please. I am reading lines from a data file and splitting the line into fields: open (INFILE, $infile); do { my $linedata = <INFILE>; my @data= split ',',$linedata; .... } until eof; I then want to store the individual field values (in @data) in and array so that the array looks like the input data file ie, the first "row" of the array contains the first line of data from INFILE etc. Each line of data from the infile contains 4 values, x,y,z and w and once the data are all in the array, I have to pass the array into another program which reads the x,y,z,w and displays the w value on a screen at the point determined by the x,y,z value. I can not pas the data to the other program on a row-by-row basis as the program expects the data to in a 2d matrtix format. Any help greatly appreciated. Chris
