• Squid server - multiple originservers with different domains

  I have 2 squid servers load-balanced with F5 LTMs set up as a reverse proxy. My problem: origin server A hosts domains 1, 2, and 3 origin server B hosts domains 4 and 5. how can I set up squid so that it will cache all vhosts for both servers? my current config: cache_peer serverA parent 80 0 round-robin no-query originserver login=PASS If I add a second line: cache_peer serverB parent 80 0 round-robin no-query originserver login=PASS it only caches domains on serverB, requests for serverA content generate 404 errors. I don't use squid a whole lot, and all help is appreciated. thanks.

• FileContentResult and international characters

  Hello, I am using a fileContentResult to render a file to the browser. It works well except that it throws an exception when the fileName contains international characters. I remember reading somewhere that this feature does not support international characters but I am sure there mustbe a workaround or a best practice people follow in cases the application needs to upload files in countries other than US.   Hi, I'm using django-uni-forms to display my fields, with a rather rudimentary example straight out of their book. When I render the form fields using <form>{%csrf_tag%} {%form|as_uni_form%}</form>, everything works as expected. However, django-uni-form Helpers allow you to generate the form tag (and other helper-related content) using the following syntax -- {% with form.helper as helper %}{% uni_form form helper%}{%endwith%} -- This creates the <form> tag for me, so there's nowhere to embed my own CSRF_token. When I try to use this syntax, the form renders perfectly, but without a CSRF token, and so submitting the form fails every time. Does anyone have experience with this? Is there an established way to add the token? I much prefer the second syntax, for re-use reasons. Thanks!

  Hi I'm about to release some software as open source. It uses Lucene (Apache license) and jopt simple (MIT license). Are there any constraints on the license that I am going to apply to my own software? In particular, it is an adaptation of Lucene for performing content-based search on audio (so, many classes are inherited and in one case copied with a little modification). It only uses jopt simple for handling command line arguments (i.e. no modification at all, just "import" and "new OptionParser..."). Thanks for your help Nicola Montecchio

  Hi, I have a piece of code where I send a file content over tcp/ip channel. There are times when this connection hangs causing entire application to freeze. Is there a way for my main thread to spawn a worker thread and monitor that worker thread. If worker thread succeeds, well and good. If it hangs , the main thread could log error message and continue. How can I simulate in my test code that a worker thread is hanging. please let me know what could the code look like. I am using C# Visual studio 2002.

  Hi guys! I have a month of free time and I've decided to launch my own website. It's going to be big and have dymanic content where different users with different roles can perform modifications to the site. Place comments, rate stores, list items, etc. This sound like a perfect opportunity for me to expand my horizons and learn a PHP Framework. I've used PHP bare bones before but nothing too complex. As of now, do you think Kohana is a mature framework to use? I've used Zend in the past for a course in Uni but it sucked horribly, I was new to the MVC model, but Zend had pretty much zero workable tutorials and guides for newbies. That's why I hated it. Where can I go to learn how to use Kohana from a retarded starting point? Thank you very much for your time.

• Silverlight binaries what are .ni.dlls?

  In browsing around the Silverlight installation directory I see a number of framework DLLs as expected. But I also see a separate DLL with the same name but with .ni inserted between the dll name and extension. For example there is a System.dll and System.ni.dll. There appears to be a sister .ni dll for almost all of the system dlls. Looking at the quickly in Reflector they appear to include the same content, but are much bigger in binary size. Just out of curiosity, can anyone explain what these are?

• NSImage different size in code different shown by Finder/Preview

  I have a couple of images that i use in my application(one of them is attached). The strange thing is that the real image size(shown by finder and preview) is 1200x701 px. When I access image from the code and as for its size, I get 360x210px. What is going on? Code I'm using to get the size of the image: NSImage *newImg = [[NSImage alloc] initWithContentsOfURL: [NSURL URLFromPasteboard:[sender draggingPasteboard]]]; float h = [newImg size].height; //height is 210px - should be 701px float w = [newImg size].width; //width is 320px - should be 1200px The content of the newImg is the same image that has been pointed and loaded - I display it in the NSImageView anyway so I see. • jQuery.load and form elements

  Is jQuery's .load() supposed to be able to load elements? Because it seems to be stripping them out. So I have some code like: var $dialogContents = $('<div></div>').load($link.attr('href') + ' #divDlgContent', function() { ... } and when the $dialogcontents loads, I return some content with a inside the DIV with the id 'divDlgContent'. Although the rest of the HTML is loaded, the tags are stripped out. Is this by design, and is there a way I can load elements this way?

• Android: scaling a button with a background image.

  I'm probably just being daft but my Google searches are not working out well. I have a bunch of buttons i add in code that all have dynamic text. I've set a background image for each of these buttons since the default greybutton doesn't work well for my application. This works perfectly and when the text size (or content) changes, the button automatically grows to accommodate the expanded text. What doesn't work is that I'd like the button to scale proportionally - i.e. if the background image is round, i'd like it to stay round rather than oval as the button gets bigger. With an imagebutton, there is a property "Adjust view bounds" that does exactly this but I cant put text on an imagebutton. Is there something equivalent for a regular button? or am I going about this wrong? i also tried setting the width of the button in code, but I can't seem to determine the new height (button.getHeight() returns 0)

• No improvement in speed when using Ehcache with Hibernate

  I'm getting no improvement in speed when using Ehcache with Hibernate Here are the results I get when i run the test below. The test is reading 80 Stop objects and then the same 80 Stop objects again using the cache. On the second read it is hitting the cache, but there is no improvement in speed. Any idea's on what I'm doing wrong?   I am using the Jquery Wysiwyg editor and I am trying to capture the html that makes up the content area to store in a DB. Is there anyway to get html of a element and save it as a string? My code looks like tihs <iframe id="wysiwyg_IFrame> <html> <head></head> <body> <ul> <li>This is a test</li> </ul> </body> </html> </iframe> I would either like to get a string that starts with <html>....</html> or just the body <body>...</body> does anyone know if this is possible? • CSS Overflow issue in IE7

  I'm working on a site for a client at the moment, and have it working correctly in all browsers except IE7 (IE6 and IE8 tested fine). It's a WordPress site and the theme is a child theme of the Thematic framework. This is an example of a page that is not displayed correctly in IE7: http://roynesbitt.credit-medics.co.uk/our-donors The main content is forcing vertical and horizontal scrollbars on the main wrapper and is also not pushing the footer down, so that is appearing midway through it. The irony is that this works correctly in IE6, it's just IE7 that is displaying this issue. Any suggestions on how to fix are gratefully received.

  I have an Excel worksheet in XML format which contains <Cell ss:StyleID="s127"><Data ss:Type="String">A01-Replace</Data></Cell> I want to replace @A01-Replace with a different string. I'm using the XQuery's replace function like so: let $excel := doc("excel.xml") let $test := "another string" return replace($excel, "(A[0-9]+-Replace)", $test) Before calling replace, the variable $excel is valid XML upon output. However, when I output $excel after I call the replace function, all of the XML tags have been stripped, and $excel is a string with the content of the cells as its values. I would like to keep the XML tags there. Any ideas?

  Hey guys, I am looking to find a lean WYSIWYG inline editor. The main required feature is image uploading. A simple way to upload an image to the server and use it in the content being editted. I have come across a whole bunch of editors but nothing I liked so far. I am looking for something open source and free. So far I have checked out TinyMCE which is free.. untill you need image uploading capabilities. Ckeditor looks great.. uses jquery.. but requires you to have your own server side script to upload images. They barely give any documentation on how to do this. There were a few others, but the bottom line was that I cant find anything that is simple with out of the box image uploading capabilities. Thanks for any advice you may give!

  I'm making a universal iPad/iPhone app which can use the iPad's VGA out connector to mirror the content of the app on an external screen. How do I check for this at runtime?

• WIX: Using a temporary file during install

I am writing a WIX installer and I have a following requirement: During installation, I need to pass an absolute path to a file (lets call it A) included in my installer to a COM component, which already exists on the hard drive and is a part of another program. I have already written an appropriate Custom Action which expects a path to the file A. I don't want to include A as a file installed in the Program Files folder and removed during the uninstallation process. Instead, I would like to put A only temporary on the hard drive, call my Custom Action which will cause the COM component to use the content of A, and then remove A from disk. Is there an easy way to accomplish this goal? I have tried to utilize the Binary Table and store A there, however I don't know how to reference A using absolute path. I know I could put A outside of MSI file but I would like to keep every file installer needs in a single MSI. Any help would be appreciated.

• Assigning a view controller to be the delegate of a subview which is not directly descendent?

  I am writing an iphone app where in numerous cases a subview needs to talk to its superview. For example: View A has a table view that contains photos A has a subview B which allows users to add photos, upon which I want to auto append them to A's table view So far I have been creating a @protocol in B, and registering A as the delegate. The problem in my case is that B has a subview C that allows users to add content, and I want actions in C to invoke changes in its grandparent, A. Currently I am working around this by passing around a self pointer to my base view controller (C.delegate = B.delegate), but it doesn't seem very proper to me. Any thoughts? (and/or general advice on code organization when all sort of subviews needs to talk to superviews would be greatly appreciated) Thanks!

• Floats not staying inside div in webkit browser, but do if cached.

  Hiya All, I have a rather strange bug which i can't make sense of that is apearing in webkit based browsers (chrome and safari). When this page http://bluprintliving.mammalworld.com/turnmill-street loads for the first time the content seems to jump out of the container but only at the end of the render. on refresh it stays in and behaves. Generally the page in cache and out of cache looks different. Anyone have any ideas or clues they can shed on this issue? Much appreciated.
