    according to http://www.cplusplus.com/reference/clibrary/cstring/memcpy/ c++'s memcpy takes three parameters: destination, source and size/bytes. it also returns a pointer. why is that so? aren't the parameters enough to input and copy data. or am i misunderstanding something? the examples don't use the return value

    After performing an ajax request if the input in the form was wrong I am trying to get this validatationTextBox to be focussed on and display an indicator message showing the problem. The code is: dijit.byId("passwordField").focusNode.focus() The form element is as mentioned a validationTextBox. The matter that is confusing me even further is that before in dojo 1.5, this piece of code was simply dijit.byId("passwordField").focus() and this worked fine. How can I fix this?

    hi, I'm using path auto module to automatically stores images in the projects subfolder. I'm using the [title] token and I had a unpleasent surprise: the title "abc / dce", creates 2 folders. I was not expecting this because in the pattern descrition, [title] is clearly distinguished by [title-raw]. [title] Node title [title-raw] Unfiltered node title. WARNING - raw user input. So, how can I fix this issue, I would like to use the title I have in the url "abc-dce" thanks

    Documentation says: "a configuration change (such as a change in screen orientation, language, input devices, etc) will cause your current activity to be destroyed, going through the normal activity lifecycle process of onPause(), onStop(), and onDestroy()." I would like to suspend the orientation change, since it crashes my app if it was done in the middle of a a loop (of reading a file). How can I do this? Also - looking for some kind of "onOrientationChnage" function :)

  • How can I scale movement physics functions to frames per second (in a game engine)?

    I am working on a game in Javascript (HTML5 Canvas). I implemented a simple algorithm that allows an object to follow another object with basic physics mixed in (a force vector to drive the object in the right direction, and the velocity stacks momentum, but is slowed by a constant drag force). At the moment, I set it up as a rectangle following the mouse (x, y) coordinates. Now, the tricky part: my question is, if I change this to a different framerate (say, 30 FPS), how can I modify the force and drag values to keep the movement constant? That is, right now my rectangle (whose position is dictated by the x and y variables) moves at a maximum speed of about 4 pixels per second, and accelerates to its max speed in about 1 second. BUT, if I change the framerate, it moves slower (e.g. 30 FPS accelerates to only 2 pixels per frame). So, how can I create an equation that takes FPS (frames per second) as input, and spits out correct "drag" and "force" values that will behave the same way in real time? As in the user would input the time and date as shown but internally i have to be accurate upto nanoseconds and convert the whole thing to nanoseconds to form a unique key assigned to a specific object created at that particular time.   • Do spaces in your URL (%20) have a negative impact on SEO?

    All the articles I Googled on this subject are dated back in 2004-2005. Basically I am structuring precanned searches, and it is based off of categories the client will input. Example content/(term name)/index.htm Does it matter if I used the raw term with a space, which is converted to %20 in the URL, or should I convert the link to '-' and remove that before querying for results? I already have it working, but does anyone know if this definitely has a negative impact on SEO and ranking?
