• Safety of purchasing country-specific domains from registrars?

  None of the previous questions tackle some of the one-off (or further) countries' registries, beyond .co.uk, .it, et al. or else I'd have found an answer myself. Is it safe to buy a domain from a foreign country TLD from a registrar? http://www.iana.org/domains/root/db/ I'm just looking for information for a vanity domain, so obviously I'm alright without an answer, but it's an unasked question (or at least, unanswered), and I'm not exactly in a hurry to give my credit card information over country lines, sight unseen.

• Swiss Re increases data warehouse performance and deploys in record time

  Great information on yet another data warehouse deployment on Exadata. A little background on Swiss Re: In 2002, Swiss Re established a data warehouse for its client markets and products to gather reinsurance information across all organizational units into an integrated structure. The data warehouse provided the basis for reporting at the group level with drill-down capability to individual contracts, while facilitating application integration and data exchange by using common data standards. Initially focusing on property and casualty reinsurance information only, it now includes life and health reinsurance, insurance, and nonlife insurance information. • Trouble with my website and IE7

  Hi there, sorry im new here but i have a serious problem; I changed the CSS style sheet for IE7 for my site http://bumblebbids.com , but now when using IE7 it has no graphics and all of the scripts code is printed ; I have tried replacing the original stylesheet but it made no difference, so please suggest ways that i can fix this? If not, would it be possible to have a 'Incompatible browser' message that only appears for IE7 users? Thanks

• Is there a modern tutorial for setting up SSL on apache2?

  I've been running apache2 for ages on my ubuntu server without SSL. Now that I want to have some directories delivered by SSL, I can't find any straightforward tutorials that were written recently. The best I've found is http://vanemery.com/Linux/Apache/apache-SSL.html but it tells me to put stuff in /etc/httpd/conf I don't want to guess that that should translate to /etc/apache2/conf because guessing based on old tutorials has ruined my web serving before.

  I have a parked domain ¨mysite.co.uk¨ on another domain name webspace in a folder and need to rewrite the mysite.co.uk domain name in the browser URL as it currently shows the Other domain name while browsing and i need it to read mysite.co.uk. When parking the domain the isp automatically added this which works although displays anotherdomain name.   Using the HttpClient API from wcf.codeplex.com, you may encounter this error if respones are too large.   Cannot write more bytes to the buffer than the configured maximum buffer size: 65536 In order to increase the size of the Response Buffer, just increase the MaxReseponseContentBufferSize as shown below. • How to enable mnemonics in 12.04 and/or 14.04 GTK3?

  Word on the street is that "gtk-enable-mnemonics" has been deprecated since version 3.10, and I am not at all sure how to get my application to display mnemonics. They will only display if I press the alt key.
