  Hi ! I'm aming to make use of the ZendX_JQuery dialogContainer view helper, in order to produce a modal window, were users can input specified information(for example send a message). I'm trying to use the dialogContainer view helper in this fashion. First of, include the ZendX library in the applications library folder. • Linq to SQL NullReferenceException's: A random needle in a haystack!

  I'm getting NullReferenceExeceptions at seemly random times in my application and can't track down what could be causing the error. I'll do my best to describe the scenario and setup. Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated! C# .net 3.5 Forms Application, but I use the WebFormRouting library built by Phil Haack (http://haacked.com/archive/2008/03/11/using-routing-with-webforms.aspx) to leverage the Routing libraries of .net (usually used in conjunction with MVC) - intead of using url rewriting for my urls. My database has 60 tables. All Normalized. It's just a massive application. (SQL server 2008) All queries are built with Linq to SQL in code (no SP's). Each time a new instance of my data context is created. I use only one data context with all relationships defined in 4 relationship diagrams in SQL Server. the data context gets created a lot. I let the closing of the data context be handled automatically. I've heard arguments both sides about whether you should leave to be closed automatically or do it yourself. In this case I do it myself. It doesnt seem to matter if I'm creating a lot of instances of the data context or just one.   I wanted to make a GWT widget using UiBinder. But when I run the Development Mode, the styles are not applied! I tried many different approaches, but it still doesn't work. What I noticed, is that in the HTML, the VerticalPanel is given the class name obfuscated by GWT, but the CSS is not send to the browser - in fact, the GWT doesn't even ask for it. Am I missing something?

I have written a custom search page that provides faster, more user friendly searches than the default Contacts view and also allows searching of Leads and Contacts simultaneously. It uses GridViews bound to SqlDataSources that query filtered views. I'm sure someone will complain that I'm not using the web services for this, but this is just the design decision we made. These GridViews live in UpdatePanels to enable very slick AJAX updates upon search. It's all working great. Unfortunately it seems CRM's IIS configuration has the magic ability to capture this error before it ever gets back to my code. Using the debugger I never see it. It never gets to my catch blocks, but it's clearly happening in the SQL Data Source which is clearly (by the stack trace) being triggered by my GridView bind. Any ideas on this? • How do I make custom functions chain-able with jQuery's?

  I need a "callfront" or "precall" (the opposite of "callback" ¿?) to add in MANY places before an animation occurs in an existing plugin, To be used like e.g. $(some_unpredictable_obj).preFunct().animate(… The problem is, as I said they are MANY places, and all of them are different animations, on different objects. I can TELL where all of them occur, but I don't want to add over and over the same code. I actually have to add both a function before and after those animations, but I think I can use the callback for all of them. In a perfect world, I'd like to replace every animate(property, duration) by preFunct().animate(property,duration).postFunct() preFunct and postFunct don't need parameters, since they are always the same action, on the same object. This could be an amazing addition to "jQuery" (an easy way to jQuerize custom functions to be added to the normal chain (without messing with queues) I found this example but it will act on the applied element, and I don't want that because, as I said above, all the original animations to be added to are on different elements. I also found jQuery.timing, but it looks cooler the chain-able function :) Thanks.

  I have one last thing left on a project and its a doozy. Not only is this my first web application, but its the first app i used Jquery, CSS and MVC. I have no idea on how to proceed with this. What i am trying to do is: In my controller, a waste item is validated, and based on the results one of these things can happen. The validation is completed, nothing bad happens, which sets ViewData["FailedWasteId"] to -9999. Its a new waste item and the validation did not pass, which sets ViewData["FailedWasteId"] to 0. Its an existing waste item and the validation did not pass, which sets ViewData["FailedWasteId"] to the id of the waste item. This ViewData["FailedWasteId"] is set on page load using <%=Html.Hidden("wFailId", int.Parse(ViewData["WasteFailID"].ToString()))%> When the validations do not pass, then the page zooms (by window.location) to an invisible div, opens the invisible div etc. Hopefully my intentions are clear with this poor attempt at jquery. The new waste div is and the existing item divs are dynamically generated (this i know works) " So my question here is... Help? I cant even get the data to parse correctly, nor can i even get the conditionals to work. • Help needed on an SQL configuration problem.

  I have been banging my head with this one more the two weeks, and still don't know what the problem is ( I can't narrow it down). The problem is the following. I have a solution with 3 project in it all written in c# and I with LINQ. One project is the main web site, the other is the data layer (communication with the database) and the third one is a custom little CMS. The problem is the following: On a hosting provider when I publish the site it all works perfectly, but this site was needed to be hosted on the client server so I needed to do that. But the problem is that I also needed to configure the client server, because they don't have an Administrator employed (I know, I know ;) ). For the first time I some how managed, to set it up but a problem appear. My main web site is working just as it suppose to be - it reads (communicates with) the database, but My CMS is not. It shows the first log in page, but after that when I try to log in it throws the following error: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.) So far I have tried the following: -setting time out on connection string to a higher value -configuration and after that turning off server firewall -checking the connection string over and over again (they are the same for all three projects and are saved in web.config) Important notes: I have tried executing the project from VS2008 with a connection string to the same database and the results are the same. That's why I think the problem is the SQL Server 2005 and not the IIS7. Any bit of information is more then welcomed.

• How to switch between views in android?

  I've tried several methods to switch between two views in my program. I've tried creating a new thread then have the view run for 5 seconds before creating intent to start my main activity.   Problem: I am trying to customize a custom Workflow Foundation activity (called CustomActivity) so that it will display with a specific background color. However, when I include an instance of my CustomActivity in a workflow, my custom theme is not applied and it is displayed in the Visual Studio Designer as any standard activity would (white background etc.).
