    I have two tables, one called calendars and one called events. There can be multiple calendars, and multiple events in a calendar. I want to select every calendar, also getting the number of events in the calendar. Right now I have : SELECT C.*, COUNT(*) AS events FROM `calendars` AS C LEFT JOIN `events` E ON C.ID=E.calendar GROUP BY C.ID But that doesn't work. Items with no events still return 1. Any ideas?

    This may just be a mac issue, but I have a page with an element which is twice the size of the page and is moved into view dynamically. in my css I have overflow-x:hidden set so that this element won't create an ugly bottom scollbar, the problem is on my laptop (and probably on ipads and other devices) I can just swipe with two fingers to scroll and view this content. This breaks the whole layout and looks really bad, and I am looking for a way to completely disable this horizontal scrolling action with javascript or css. Thank you

I tried getting the selected option from the "master" combo using function getSelectedArea() { $$('#areacont1 option').find(function(ele){return !!ele.selected}) } which returns null And setting the second combo using var c2ROptions = $$('select#areacont2 option') c2ROptions[getSelectedArea()].selected = true That obviously doesn't work because the function returns null. The intended output is 1 2 3 some xml 1 2 3 But unfortunately, the actual output is 1 2 3 some xml com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.dom.ElementNSImpl cannot be cast to testapplication1.IFoo Apparently, I need to use the annotations in a different way? Or to give up on JAXB and look for something else? I, well, can write "XMLNode toXML()" method for all classes I wan't to (de)marshal, but...
