However, I only want to respond to it when the user makes a violent motion to the left or the right. So my question is: what is the range of input to expect from a user holding the device in their hands and what threshold should I set to be sure I don't respond to normal movement during play?

    I have this test case def test_loginin_student_control_panel(self): c = Client() c.login(username="tauri", password="gaul") response = c.get('/student/') self.assertEqual(response.status_code, 200) the view associated with the test case is this @login_required def student(request): return render_to_response('student/controlpanel.html') so my question is why the above test case redirects user to login page? should not c.login suppose to take care authenticating user?

    Say I'm writing a Django app, and all the templates in the app require a certain variable. The "classic" way to deal with this, afaik, is to write a context processor and add it to TEMPLATE_CONTEXT_PROCESSORS in the settings.py. My question is, is this the right way to do it, considering that apps are supposed to be "independent" from the actual project using them? In other words, when deploying that app to a new project, is there any way to avoid the project having to explicitly mess around with its settings?

    Hello, I have created an application that records a series of longitude and latitude values in a SQLite database and display them as a coloured track on a MapActivity. I now want to be able to export this data somehow (preferably to a file) so a user can upload the values to a website showing a Google Map API. My question is: what would be the quickest way to export the data (and in what file format: GPX, XML, CSV) to the SD card located on the Android device. Many thanks.

    Actually, i am facing a codebase where developpers decided to use 'AND' and 'OR' instead of '&&' and '||'. I know that there is difference in operators precedence (&& goes before 'and'), but with given framework (prestashop to be precise) is clearly not a reason. So, my question: which version are you using? Is 'and' more readable than '&&'? || there is ~ difference?

Guys I'd asked 2 questions before and I'd said that I want to split a string like below: Input string: a=aa|b=b||b|c=cc and the output: a=aa b=b||b c=cc some guys answer my question but they use .Match(): var matches = "a=aa|b=b||b|c=cc".match(/(?:[^|]|\|\|)+/g) but I need to use the .split() method and store the outputs in an array. please help me guys...     This is similar to this question, but I want to include the path relative to the current directory in unix. If can do the following: ls -LR | grep .txt But it doesn't include the full paths. For example, I have the follow dir structure: test1/file.txt test2/file1.txt test2/file2.txt The code above will return: file.txt file1.txt file2.txt How can I get it to include the paths relative to the current directory using standard nix commands?

Basically people often ask if I am logging - and since I am not a full time programmer, but someone who programs often but is actually more of a requirements analyst, I don't know all the best practices. I use Java a lot so I often do things like System.out.println() What's the difference in theory between the two? Ultimately aren't I also logging? Esp, if I prefix my comments with something like "ERROR:" or "WARN:" ?

I have a traditional web application which goes from StateA to StateB and so on If the user goes to (url of) StateB, I want to make sure that he has visited StateA before. Traditionally, I'd do this using session state. Since session state is not allowed in REST, how do I achieve this?
