  I am going to be crazy I think. Please Help. I have a table which fields are Date, No, Turnover, TotalWin, Opencredit, Handpay, Billin, gamesplayed and I am trying to write sql in vb.net that will show me previous day value but I cant. Here is what I am trying to do.   Hi, I have a page where i in my masterpage have a toolbar with a "Home" button to the far left. This button is not in a contentplaceholder but on the page. I want to have the opportunity for derived pages to add their own controls or whatever to the toolbar to be whown after the "home" button. But how to do this? I have tried to put in a content placeholder, but it seems that i cannot get it to show inline with the other stuff, it breaks and the content of the contentplaceholder is shown below the button instead. anyone know how to solve this? /Brian

  I'm combining Tablesorter's 'disable headers using options' function and the 'trigger sortStart / sortEnd' function and have run into an issue.   I developed the site, and I removed the url from google webmaster tool which was like "http://example.com\". I did this because google show this in search with underconstruction Title, which was my previous page. When i completed the website, i removed the url from there, and added sitemap etc to have new copy of site. Now i see in webmaster tools, that all pages are indexed, but still no success. Yahoo and Bing are showing my page when searched. Help me to fix this problem. Regards, vicky

I have a table called FRUIT id type daysold 1 banana 5 2 apple 6 3 apple 4 4 peach 2 5 banana 6 What I would like is to have 3 checkboxes: Banana [ ] Apple [ ] Peach [ ] SUBMIT Then if I've only checked "Banana" and "Peach" the mysql output should only show me the rows that matches those two types. And the checkboxes should remain checked to highlight what was chosen. I can make the checkboxes but then that's about it really. I don't know how to properly get the info from the checkboxes and down to the WHERE argument in the MYSQL-code. Especially not with two types chosen. If it was just a dropdown menu with a single choice then I'd add the choice to the url and put WHERE type='$choice' - but I'm struggling with the multiple choices. I'm a bit of a novice at both php and mysql, so I'm a bit lost on this one.

• Show ContextMenuStrip from ToolStripDropDown without dismissing ToolStripDropDown

  I have a ToolStrip. In my ToolStrip I have a ToolStripDropDownButton. My ToolStripDropDownButton has a DropDown of type ToolStripDropDown that contains a ToolStripControlHost which contains a Label. I have assigned a ContextMenuStrip to my Label. When I show the DropDown and right-click on the label, the ContextMenuStrip displays correctly, but the original DropDown is dismissed. I can understand the existence of underlying code to prevent the display of two "ToolStripItems" at the same time and I'm assuming that's what I'm running in to here. Anybody know of a way around it?

• problem when opening new window in asp.net application, new window didnt show anything

  Hello I have an asp.net application which I used some Ajax method. in some cases I open an new window ( Full Screen ) and users must work on it. the problem is , some users report me that some times new window was blank and didnt show any content , in status bar just write connecting .... and nothing else. Just when customers closed all opening browser and open again , they can view pages. this happend when users work for a while and click open new window links before the page loaded compeletly. how can I fix this problem? regards

I am showing some html text using DIV real time. Its working fine. My Silverlight Plugin & DIV both style property is= "position:absolute'.   I'm conducting technical interviews to fill a few .NET positions. Many of the people I interview really do know .NET pretty well, but I find at least 90% of embellish their skillset anywhere between "a little" and "quite drastically". Sometimes they fabricate skills relevant to the position they're applying for, sometimes they not. Most of the people I interview, even the most egregious liars, are not scam artists. They just want to stand out among the crowd, so they drop a few buzzwords on their resume like "JBoss", "LINQ", "web services", "Django" or whatever just to pad their skillset and stay competitive. (You might wonder if a person lies about those skills, whether they are just bluffing their way through a technical interview. My interviews involve a lot of hands-on coding and problem-solving -- people who attempt to bluff will bomb the hands-on coding portion in the first 3 minutes.) These are two open-ended questions, but it would really help me out when I make my recommendations to the hiring managers: 1) Regarding interviewing etiquette, should I attempt to determine whether a person really possesses all of the skills they claim to have? Can I do this without making the candidate feel uncomfortable? 2) Regarding the final decision, should I recommend candidates who are genuinely qualified for the positions they're applying for, even if they've fabricated portions of their skillset?

  i have a UITextView object which i have created in interface builder with it's hidden property unmarked.Now i want this textView to be invisible when my application launches and first view appears.Further i want it to be displayed when a particular method is called.Now this is what i have written in view did load [mTextView setHidden:YES]; self.mTextView=[[UITextView alloc] init]; it hides the textView ats the first view appears but when my desired method is called and i write [mTextView setHidden:NO]; it does not show it again.. Is it like we cant change the appearance of a textView once it is assigned because after assigning memory as self.mTextView=[[UITextView alloc] init]; and then writing [mTextView setHidden:YES]; it does not hide textView in viwDidLoad either.....

  I'm working with Ruby on rails 2.3.4 and I'd like to have a link that executes an action when clicked. The relevant part of the routes.rb file looks like this: map.search_filter_relevance "/anuncios/buscar", :controller => 'announcements', :action => 'search_filter_relevance' My view(it's the model's index page) looks like this: <%= link_to 'M&Aacute;S RELEVANTES', search_filter_relevance_path %> And my controller looks like this: def search_filter_relevance raise params.inspect unless params[:announcements].nil? or params[:announcements].empty? @announcements = params[:announcements].order_by_featured end end The problem is that when I click the link I get an error due to some null value in the Show action! I'm not accessing that action at all...why is executing it?

  Hi, I have a select form element with 5 options. If option 2 is selected I want to display another form input box (this has a style of display:none initially). How can I attach an event to option 2 so that whenever it is selected the input box is shown otherwise it is hidden. I have this currently but this does not handle is option 2 is already selected when the page loads $('#type').change(function(){ var typeSelected = $(this).val(); if (typeSelected == 2) { $('#extraInput').show(); } }); I know I could add another bit of code which checks what is selected on page load but wondered if there was a neater way of doing this. Also something that could handle the hiding of the input box if option 2 is not selected at the start as currently I have just hard-coded style="display:none" onto the input box but I would prefer this to be dynamic.   Dear programmers of StackOverflow, recently me and two of my friends from college started a software company. We are developing web-applications using GWT-Spring-Hibernate and other helper frameworks. In a couple of months, we managed to set up a stable back-end and produced some demo programs for CRM solutions. Our area of interest is CRM where we can combine the flexibility of our back-end with the slick looking GWT based GUIs. Unfortunately we live in a third world country (well, kind of two and a half :) and no one here gives our work enough credit, or really cares about the advantages of web-apps. We are stuck at the moment because our current clients do not want to pay that much money for just "putting their local app on the web". Since we can not find satisfying work here, we have decided to work online/international. I was wondering if you guys know a good freelance kind of sites where we can throw ourselves into the market.. Also a question from frustration, to those who are in the field or knowledgeable/interested about web based CRM, how much would you ask/pay for lets say a web app which will keep track of all the patients of a multi-branch clinic also allowing the patients to access to view their own records?   I think it's best if I ask this question with an example scenario. Let's say your mom-and-pop local hardware store has never had a website, and they want you, the freelance developer to build them a website. You have all the skills to run a LAMP setup and admin a system, so the difficult question you ask yourself is - where will I host it? As you aren't going to host it out of the machine in your apartment. Let's say you want to be able to customize your own system, install the version of PHP you want, and manage your own database. Perhaps the best kind of hosting is to get a virtual machine so you can customize the system as you see fit. But this essentially a "set it and forget it" site you make, bill by the hour for, and then are done. In other words, the hosting should not be an issue. Given the requirements of hosting a website: Unlimited growth potential needing good amounts of bandwidth to handle visitors Wide range of system and programming options allowing it to be portable Relatively cheap (not necessarily the cheapest) or reasonable scaling cost Reliable hosting with good support Hosted entirely on the host company's hardware Who would you pick to host this website? Yes I am asking for a business/company recommendation. Is there a clear answer for this scenario, or a good source that can reliably give the current answer? I know there are all kinds of schemes out there. I'm just wondering if any one company fills the bill for freelancers and stands out in such a crowded market.

• Create a Sharepoint page but don't show in breadcrumb

  Hi, I'm struggling to do something which I thought should be straight forward, basically I need to create an aspx page which I now realise must be put into a document library but the problem I have is it's only one page and when the page is displayed the breadcrumb has a link to the document library. We really don't want the users to be able to get to the library via the breadcrumb and just want to show the page. From one of my other questions some other helpful people made some suggestions like putting the file in the _layout directory but this won't work because the new page has a master page associated with it. Any ideas how I can display the custom page but not allow normal users to navigate to the document list? Thanks! Dan

  Hi, I'm very new to ruby. I'm trying to search for any instance of a word in a text file (not the problem). Then when the word is discovered, it would show the surrounding text (maybe 3-4 words before and after the target word, instead of the whole line), output to a list of instances and continue searching. Example "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog." Search word = "jumped" Output = "...brown fox jumped over the..." Any help is appreciated. Thanks! If all values in a column is 0 or null then query should ignore to show that column(as shown in result) Note: if we run a query as select * from table1 it shows all columns. While I don't wants a query like select id,mon,tue,wed from table1 because no. of showing columns may change. Please reply to me. Thank you....
