  This question1 describes a way how to show list of phone numbers and select one of them if my app needs a phone number. But image if I have a huge contact list, it is not enough to just show list but possibility for filtering (by contact's name) is also needed. Is there a standard way to show phones list with picking possibility and with filtering possibility? (I wouldn't like to invent my own) Is there a solution for the problem for sdk 2.0 and lower?

• priority_queue with dynamic priorities

  Hey, I have a server application which accepts incomming queries and executes them. If there are too many queries they should be queued and if some of the other queries got executed the queued queries should be executed as well. Since I want to pass queries with different priorities I think using a priority_queue would be the best choice. e.g. The amout of the axcepting queries (a) hit the limt and new queries will be stored in the queue. All queries have a priority of 1 (lowest) if some of the queries from (a) get executed the programm will pick the query with the highest priority out of the queue and execute it. Still no problem. Now someone is sending a query with a priority of 5 which gets added to the queue. Since this is the query with the highest priority the application will execute this query as soon as the running queries no longer hit the limit. There might be the worst case that 500 queries with a priority of 1 are queued but wont be executed since someone is always sending queries with a priority of 5 hence these 500 queries will be queued for a looooong time. In order to prevent that I want to increase the prioritiy of all queries which have a lower priority than the query with the higher priority, in this example which have a priority lower than 5. So if the query with a priority of 5 gets pulled out of the queue all other queries with a priority < 5 should be increased by 0.2. This way queries with a low priority wont be queued for ever even if there might be 100 queries with a higher priority. My example: UPDATE TRIPS SET locations = city + ', ' FROM (select Distinct city from poi where poi.trip_guid = trips.guid) Is it possible to refer to main table value (trips.guid) in subqueries? When i try to use trips.guid I get the error: "The multi-part identifier "trips.guid" could not be bound."

• mysqldump problem with case sensitivity? Win->linux

  When i dump a table with uppercase letters using mysqldump it comes out as lower case in my dump.sql file. I found a report here in 2006, almost 4 years old http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=19967 A solution here suggest making linux insensitive. I rather not if possible. Whats the easiest way to copy a win32 db into linux?

• Remove Chrome Loading Notification?

  I am working on a project that runs in Chrome in full-screen mode and displays data that can be edited and interacted with. It makes AJAX calls(using jQuery) frequently that cause a loading notification in the lower left-hand corner on the bottom of the screen to pop up. These notifications are distracting when you are viewing the display and I would like to remove/prevent Chrome from displaying these loading notifications at all. Is it possible to prevent these notification by any means, or perhaps even mask the javascript that causes these notifications?

How do I: A) access the bound text box in the form view template?
