  • Jquery Accordion : set action to a specific element inside header

    - by J.Tay
by default, if we have something like this as a Header in jQuery Accordion : <h3> <div class="1">TEXT</div> <div class="2">ICON</div> <div class="3">BUTTON</div> </h3> by clicking anywhere on this , accordion works and toggle the next element and ... the question is , how can we set an option and select a specific element ( like: 'div' with class '1' ) to click on it to and toggle the accordion. i mean i don't want the whole Header remain click able. i just want to click on a icon or div o something inside the header and toggle open/close the accordion. thank you Update 1 : HTML : <div id="testAcc"> <h3> <div class="one">Text</div> <div class="two">Icon</div> <div class="three">Button</div> </h3> <div class="accBody"> text text text text text text text text text text </div> <h3> <div class="one">Text</div> <div class="two">Icon</div> <div class="three">Button</div> </h3> <div class="accBody"> text text text text text text text text text text </div> </div> JS : $('#testAcc').accordion({ autoHeight: false, header: 'h3', collapsible: 'ture', }); this codes working fine. but i want to use something like ( header: 'h3.one' ) means i want to set a specific class and element inside the header , then if user click ONLY on that element, the accordion will open or close ...

  • Find all CSS rules that apply to an element

    - by Carl Byström
Many tools/APIs provide ways of selecting elements of specific classes or IDs. There's also possible to inspect the raw stylesheets loaded by the browser. However, for browsers to render an element, they'll compile all CSS rules (possibly from different stylesheet files) and apply it to the element. This is what you see with Firebug or the WebKit Inspector - the full CSS inheritance tree for an element. How can I reproduce this feature in pure JavaScript without requiring additional browser plugins? Perhaps an example can provide some clarification for what I'm looking for: <style type="text/css"> p { color :red; } #description { font-size: 20px; } </style> <p id="description">Lorem ipsum</p> Here the p#description element have two CSS rules applied: a red color and a font size of 20 px. I would like to find the source from where these computed CSS rules originate from (color comes the p rule and so on).

  • Add dynamical elements in a Iframe element than i create

    - by serloro
Hi, i have a litle problem if i create a dynamically IFRAME element and i agregate dynamically elements to the new iframe. It works If i do that: var miiframe=document.getElementById("miiframe"); var myElement=content.document.createElement("LABEL"); myElement.innerHTML="blabla"; miiframe.contentDocument.body.appendChild(myElement); but if i do that doesn't works: var miiframe=content.document.createElement("IFRAME"); miiframe.src="about:blank"; document.body.appendChild(miiframe); var myElement=content.document.createElement("LABEL"); myElement.innerHTML="blabla"; miiframe.contentDocument.body.appendChild(myElement); i see the iframe but i don't see the label element. The most courious is if before appendElement i do and alert it works!!! var miiframe=content.document.createElement("IFRAME"); miiframe.src="about:blank"; document.body.appendChild(miiframe); var myElement=content.document.createElement("LABEL"); myElement.innerHTML="blabla"; alert("now works!!!"); miiframe.contentDocument.body.appendChild(myElement); With DIV element works but i want do that with IFRAME element!!! • Problem adding a behaviors element to my WCF client config

    - by SteveChadbourne
    I'm trying to add a behaviors element to my client config file so I can specify maxItemsInObjectGraph. The error I get is: The element 'system.serviceModel' has invalid child element 'behaviors'. List of possible elements expected: 'bindings, client, extensions'. Here is my config: <configuration> <system.serviceModel> <bindings> <basicHttpBinding> <binding name="BasicHttpBinding_KernService" maxBufferSize="2147483647" maxReceivedMessageSize="2147483647"> <security mode="None" /> </binding> </basicHttpBinding> </bindings> <behaviors> <endpointBehaviors> <behavior name="ServiceViewEventBehavior"> <dataContractSerializer maxItemsInObjectGraph="2147483647"/> </behavior> </endpointBehaviors> </behaviors> <client> <endpoint address="http://localhost/KernMobile.WCF/KernService.svc" binding="basicHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="BasicHttpBinding_KernService" contract="KernWcfService.KernService" name="BasicHttpBinding_KernService" behaviorConfiguration="ServiceViewEventBehavior" /> </client> </system.serviceModel> </configuration> It's also complaining about the behaviorConfiguration attribute in the endpoint element. Any ideas? .Net 4.0 BTW.

  • Element Content Versus Attribute for Simple XML Value

    - by MB
I know the elements versus attributes debate has come up many times here and elsewhere (e.g. here, here, here, here, and here) but I haven't seen much discussion of elements versus attributes for simple property values. So which of the following approaches do you think is better for storing a simple value? A: Value in Element Content: <TotalCount>553</TotalCount> <CelsiusTemperature>23.5</CelsiusTemperature> <SingleDayPeriod>2010-05-29</SingleDayPeriod> <ZipCodeLocation>12203</ZipCodeLocation> or B: Value in Attribute: <TotalCount value="553"/> <CelsiusTemperature value="23.5"/> <SingleDayPeriod day="2010-05-29"/> <ZipCodeLocation code="12203"/> I suspect that putting the value in the element content (A) might look a little more familiar to most folks (though I'm not sure about that). Putting the value in an attribute (B) might use less characters, but that depends on the length of the element and attribute names. Putting the value in an attribute (B) might be more extensible, because you could potentially include all sorts of extra information as nested elements. Whereas, by putting the value inside the element content (A), you're restricting extensibility to adding more attributes. But then extensibility often isn't a concern for really simple properties - sometimes you know that you'll never need to add additional data. Bottom line might be that it simply doesn't matter, but it would still be great to hear some thoughts and see some votes for the two options.

  • Using an element against an entire list in Haskell

    - by Snick
I have an assignment and am currently caught in one section of what I'm trying to do. Without going in to specific detail here is the basic layout: I'm given a data element, f, that holds four different types inside (each with their own purpose): data F = F Float Int, Int a function: func :: F -> F-> Q Which takes two data elements and (by simple calculations) returns a type that is now an updated version of one of the types in the first f. I now have an entire list of these elements and need to run the given function using one data element and return the type's value (not the data element). My first analysis was to use a foldl function: myfunc :: F -> [F] -> Q myfunc y [] = func y y -- func deals with the same data element calls myfunc y (x:xs) = foldl func y (x:xs) however I keep getting the same error: "Couldn't match expected type 'F' against inferred type 'Q'. In the first argument of 'foldl', namely 'myfunc' In the expression: foldl func y (x:xs) I apologise for such an abstract analysis on my problem but could anyone give me an idea as to what I should do? Should I even use a fold function or is there recursion I'm not thinking about?

  • Left floated element and unordered lists (ul).

    - by superUntitled
Hello, I am trying to indent the li elements of a ul. There is a left floated div with an image in it. The li element will indent only if I add left padding that is wider than the image itself. I you would like to look at a version irl, take a look. On this page, I have given the li a background color to demonstrate. <div class="left"> <p ><img src='image.jpg' alt='homepage.jpg' width="360" height="395" /></p> </div> <p> Est tincidunt doming iis nobis nibh. Ullamcorper eorum elit lius me delenit. </p> <hr /> <h3>Lorem</h3> <ul> <li>list element</li> <li>list element</li> <li>list element</li> </ul> The css: .left {float: left; } .left img {padding-right: 20px;} ul li { padding-left: 10px; background: blue; } thanks!

  • Ruby on Rails AJAX call affects only the first element in collection

    - by pruett
I'm iterating over a collection of elements and trying to get AJAX to work properly on a specific element within the collection. I'm nesting a few partials in order to iterate over these items and use a js.erb call like this: $('#favorite_form').html("<%=j render partial: 'shared/unfavorite', locals: { mission: @mission } %>"); This only seems to change the 1st item in the collection even though I could be clicking the 5th item down the list, for example. Question: How can I specify (via .js and AJAX) which element to update? Is this jQuery call not specific enough to the individual element? The code works in regular HTTP requests, so I'm wondering if there is a way to specify the individual element, but I thought that's what partials did :/ Example View ( _favorites.html.erb ) <div id="favorite_form"> <% if you_favorited_this?(current_user, mission) %> <%= render partial: 'shared/unfavorite', locals: { mission: mission } %> <% else %> <%= render partial: 'shared/favorite', locals: { mission: mission } %> <% end %> </div>

  • How can I hide this overlay element intelligently?

    - by inkedmn
The site I'm working on has a collection of navigation elements across the top ("Products", "Company", etc.). When you mouse over the Products link, an overlay appears that shows a list of products with links to each. There's a small link at the top of the container that, when clicked, closes the container. All of this works as advertised. The client has asked that, once a user's mouse pointer is a sufficient distance from the overlay element, the overlay element would close (without them having to click the 'close' link). This element appears on multiple pages that have disparate content, so I'm afraid it won't be as simple as adding a mouseover listener to another single element within the page and have it work everywhere. My question, I suppose, is this: is there a relatively easy way to know when the mouse cursor is x pixels away from this container and trigger an event when this occurs? My other thought is that I could just find several elements on the page that fit this criteria and add mouseover listeners to each, but I'm assuming there's a more elegant way of handling this. Thanks in advance - and please let me know if more detail is needed.

  • Copy existing XML, duplicate element and modify

    - by Robert
Hi, I have a tricky XSL problem at the moment. I need to copy the existing XML, copy a certain element (plus its child elements) and modify the value of two child-elements. The modifications are: divide value of the 'value' element by 110 and edit the value of the 'type' element from 'normal' to 'discount'. This is currently what I have: Current XML: <dataset> <data> <prices> <price> <value>50.00</value> <type>normal</type> </price> </prices> </data> </dataset> Expected result <dataset> <data> <prices> <price> <value>50.00</value> <type>normal</type> </price> <price> <value>45.00</value> <type>discount</type> </price> </prices> </data> </dataset> Any takers? I've gotten as far as copying the desired 'price' element using copy-of, but I'm stuck as to how to modify it next.

  • jquery, attaching objects (instead of string attribute) to an element

    - by binaryLV
Hi! I'm trying to build DOM with jQuery and fill it with data that is received with AJAX (data type = json). I'd like to also store this data as an object, attached to a specific DOM element. Does jQuery provide any method for this? The reason I want to do it is because only part of data is initially displayed; other data might be needed later, depending on user actions. I tried using attr(), but it stores a string "[object Object]" instead of an actual object: var div = $('<div/>'); div.attr('foo', {bar: 'foobar'}); alert(div.attr('foo')); // gives "[object Object]" alert(typeof div.attr('foo')); // gives "string" alert(div.attr('foo').bar); // gives "undefined" Another way to do this would be by "bypassing" jQuery (div[0].foo = {bar: 'foobar'};), though this seems to be a "dirty workaround", if jQuery happens to already support attaching objects. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

  • Trying to implement fling events on an object

    - by Adam Short
I have a game object, well a bitmap, which I'd like to "fling". I'm struggling to get it to fling ontouchlistener due to it being a bitmap and not sure how to proceed and I'm struggling to find the resources to help. • Zend Framework, Zend_Form_Element how to set custom name?

    - by ikso
    Hello, I have form, where some fields are looks like rows, so I can add/delete them using JS. For example: Field with ID=1 (existing row) <input id="id[1]" type="text" name="id[1]" value="1" /> <input id="name[1]" type="text" name="name[1]" value="100" /> Field with ID=2 (existing row) <input id="name[2]" type="text" name="name[2]" value="200" /> <input id="name[2]" type="text" name="name[2]" value="200" /> new row created by default (to allow add one more row to existing rows) <input id="id[n0]" type="text" name="id[n0]" value="" /> <input id="name[n0]" type="text" name="name[n0]" value="" /> new row created by JS <input id="id[n1]" type="text" name="id[n1]" value="" /> <input id="name[n1]" type="text" name="name[n1]" value="" /> So than we will proceed form, we will know what rows to update and what to add (if index starts with "n" - new, if index is number - existent element). I tried subforms... but do I have to create subform for each field? If I use following code: $subForm = new Zend_Form_SubForm(); $subForm->addElement('Text', 'n0'); $this->addSubForm($subForm, 'pid'); $subForm = new Zend_Form_SubForm(); $subForm->addElement('Text', 'n0'); $this->addSubForm($subForm, 'name'); What is the best way for this? 1) Use subforms? 2) Extend Zend/Form/Decorator/ViewHelper.php to use names like name[nX]? 3) Other solutions? Thanks.

  • SQL Server script commands to check if object exists and drop it

Over the past couple years I’ve been keeping track of common SQL Server script commands that I use so I don’t have to constantly Google them.  Most of them are how to check if a SQL object exists before dropping it.  I thought others might find these useful to have them all in one place, so here you go: 1: --=============================== 2: -- Create a new table and add keys and constraints • Why ruby object has two to_s and inspect methods that do the same thing? Or, so it seems.

    - by prosseek
The p calls inspect, and puts/print calls to_s for representing its object. If I run class Graph def initialize @nodeArray = Array.new @wireArray = Array.new end def to_s # called with print / puts "Graph : #{@nodeArray.size}" end def inspect # called with p "G" end end if __FILE__ == $0 gr = Graph.new p gr print gr puts gr end I get G Graph : 0Graph : 0 Then, why does ruby has two functions do the same thing? What makes the difference between to_s and inspect? And what's the difference between puts/print/p? If I comment out the to_s or inspect function, I get as follows. #<Graph:0x100124b88>#<Graph:0x100124b88>

  • how to load c# object side by side

    - by mamu
We have serialized value of some objects persisted. Now we want to make substantial changes to some objects. So what i want to do is load older version of object using old assembly then deserialize and serialize again with newer version of the object. I can have convert method which can transform old object to new one. i have been converting object on fly on deserializer but in this case it's almost new object with same name.

  • Adding multiple gradients to object in Adobe Illustrator

    - by Vass
Hi, I have an object which is a path (a nose to be specific). Now I want both a linear gradient and a radial gradient to be added to the object. So these must be separate gradient objects I guess, and I can't find a way to add multiple separate gradients to a complete path so do I duplicate the object and then apply a new gradient to each object? And what would the layer transparency features look like? Would the 'normal' overlay of the layers work? I am afraid of multiple shadows creating double dark regions, but maybe that is as its supposed to be if you think in terms of classical art and draw shadows in terms of each light obstruction.

  • firefox 12 turn off Inspect Element (Q)

    - by user35563
Go the new FF12 and I hit the "Inspect Element (Q)", i'm use to hitting "Inspect" and getting FireBug, now i get the FF inspection tool. It looks nice, but how do i turn it off? Not disable it, but stop inspecting the current page? I have to close the tab, when working on a large web application, have to sign back in and re-setup everything i was testing to get back to a normal view. Big waste of time.

  • Cisco ASA - Unable to create "range" type of network object on 8.2

    - by j2k4j
I'm wanting to block a range of ip addresses on my Cisco ASA 5520 (8.2) using ASDM 6.4. In the help files/cisco documentation, it says, just create a network object with a "range" type, and use that in a blocking access rule... When I'm accessing the ASA (8.2) with ASDM 6.4, I go to configfirewallobjectnetwork objects & groups, then click "add" to add the IP range as a "network object", I get the following 4 fields to fill out: Name: IP address: Netmask: Description: That's all... In the context-sensitive help files, it says that there should be a Type drop-down to select, with "range" being one of the options, but there is no "Type" drop-down list... If I try to create a "network object group" instead of just "network object", then I get a "Type" drop down list, but it only contains two options: network & host (No "Range" option here either) Can someone help me figure out how to block a range of IP's, using the current 8.2 version on the ASA? Thanks for any pointers or tips!

  • Windows 7: "Replace All Child Object Permissions" Doesn't Stay Checked

    - by raywood
I right-click on a top-level folder in Windows Explorer. I choose Properties Security tab Advanced Change Permissions. I check "Replace all child object permissions with inheritable permissions from this object" Apply. I get a Windows Security dialog that says, "Setting security information on" the list of objects that flashes by. But now the "Replace all child object permissions" box is unchecked. What is happening here?

  • Comparing two specific properties of a CSV using Compare-Object isn't giving the expected results

    - by MDMarra
I have a list of users from two separate domains. These lists are in CSV format and I only care about the SAMAccountName, which is a field in these CSVs. The code that I'm working with is currently: $domain1 = Import-CSV C:\Scripts\Temp\domain1.xxx.org.csv | Select-Object SAMAccountName $domain2 = Import-CSV C:\Scripts\Temp\domain2.xxx.org.csv | Select-Object SAMAccountName Compare-Object ($domain1) ($domain2) This is returning only a handful of results (which aren't accurate) in this format: @{samaccountname=SomeUser} => Obviously, Compare-Object isn't evaluating the objects as strings. How do I make this work?

  • How to get target element of keypress in designmode iframe

    - by Tom
Is it possible to get the target element in a keypress event handler in a design mode iframe ? I know it can be done in the mousedown event handler (by accessing event.target), but in the keypress / keydown handlers event.target is always the iframe element. For example, with the following html, if the user types into the div where it says * key press here *, I would like in the keypress / keydown event handler to be able to determine that the target element is the div with id='b'. Is this possible ? <div id='a'> <div id='b'> *** Key press here *** </div> </div>

  • jQuery - How to remove a DOM element BEFORE complete page load

    - by webfac
Now this may seem like a silly question, but I need to know how to remove a DOM element BEFORE it is displayed to the user. In short, I am using a div that has a background image alerting the user to enable javascript before proceeding. If the user has javascript enabled I am using jQuery to remove the DOM element, in this case $(".check-js") which is the div housing the image. Using the conventional methods to unload DOM objects as follows does not work because it waits for the page load to complete, then removes the element, causing the image to flicker on and off each time the page loads: $(function(){ $(".check-js").css( {display:"none"} ) }) I simply want to remove the div if the user has js enabled, and he must never see this div. Any suggestions and I will be grateful, thanks.
