• Using Dynamics AX's Business Conectors to Generate Sales Orders

  So, just like the title says, I need to create an application that gets data from another Database, and shoves it through Dynamics AX's throat. This data comes from a portal, not Enterprise Portal, but a PHP one. It stores some data from the order in a separate database. So as said, I need to 'import' that to AX, creating the sales orders with the data I have from the other database. Also I'd like some references on Business Conector too, does it handle all those RECIDS and references that AX uses for me? Thanks in advance. EDIT: OK, I'm able to insert records in AX's database, theres just one problem. I can't generate the internal ID. Like, the 'AccountNum' field for the CustTable. Is there a way to capture it from business connector?

• Custom Database integration with MOSS 2007

  Hopefully someone has been down this road before and can offer some sound advice as far as which direction I should take. I am currently involved in a project in which we will be utilizing a custom database to store data extracted from excel files based on pre-established templates (to maintain consistency). We currently have a process (written in C#.Net 2008) that can extract the necessary data from the spreadsheets and import it into our custom database. What I am primarily interested in is figuring out the best method for integrating that process with our portal. What I would like to do is let SharePoint keep track of the metadata about the spreadsheet itself and let the custom database keep track of the data contained within the spreadsheet. So, one thing I need is a way to link spreadsheets from SharePoint to the custom database and vice versa. As these spreadsheets will be updated periodically, I need tried and true way of ensuring that the data remains synchronized between SharePoint and the custom database. I am also interested in finding out how to use the data from the custom database to create reports within the SharePoint portal. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

• Calling SSIS from BizTalk Orchestration

  I have a scenario were I need to move a vast amount of data, and I need to use BizTalk to control the flow and contain the business logic. The problem is that BizTalk will not be able to handle the amount of data that needs to be moved. We have decided to a BizTalk Orchestration to kick off an SSIS package that does the actual heavy lifting. However, there is a caveat in that we have to be able to pass information into SSIS such as file location and info about how to split certain data up. My question is, what is the best way to call into SSIS from an Orchestration given those parameters? Should I build a webservice around it? Is there an adapter or stored procedure that I can call? Or is there a way to call it directly from the Orchestration?

  Do you know what basic information MUST include a paragraph (w:p) in document.xml inside a *.docx document, that specifies an image? I do know there must be <a:blip r:embed="rId4" /> specifing the relation id, but what else? It's very hard to find it in google and experimenting with cutting out tags from a ready document or reading the specification takes a lot of time. An example with all the required tags would be greatly appreciated.

I noticed yesterday that the RAD Studio internal browser used for the Welcome Page etc has scripting and Active X etc enabled.   I'm trying to write a macro which can look into the list of horizontal page breaks that a worksheet keeps, and it seems like HPageBreaks should be exactly that. I can add or remove page breaks from it, but I can't seem to isolate the collection itself to look at its contents. Even adding a watch and looking at ActiveSheet.HPageBreaks just brings up a generic looking object with a count field equal to 0 regardless of existing page breaks. I'm really confused about this now. Is there any way to look into the existing page breaks within a sheet? A listing of what rows they occur on/between would be great.

For this i created a web application with windows authentication for intranet zone and after that, I created an extension for an internet zone with fba. In the internet extension we have the following requirement: - able to acess to sharepoint backoffice using fba. - have a authentication mecanism for portal visitors, where they can authenticate and acess to a page where they can subscribe the newsletter and define some site appearance (this users can't acess to sharepoint backoffice). My idea is use the aspnet membership provider to authenticate both users and create diferente roles for them. Anyone suggests another approach? Is there any way to ensure that visitors (2 case) do not enter the backoffice portal? Thanks

• Access 2007 VBA : Building a listbox with selection choices from another list box

  So there are 8 categories that may be associated to each order, but not necessarily all of them. So i was going to build a list box that allowed the user to double click each of the category they wish to associate when they have an "Order Detail" form opened up (unbound form that has hidden text boxes with all needed ID numbers). I want to have another empty text box right beside it that will allow me to append the selections (up to 8) so the user can see that they have been added. So one list box with the default choices, and when a choice is double clicked, it adds that choice to the second list box to see the tally so to speak.   I managed to set the compiler to execute another program when the project is built/ran with the following directive in project options: call program.exe param1 param2 The problem is that the compiler executes "program.exe" and waits for it to terminate and THEN the project executable is ran. What I ask: How to set the compiler to run both executables in paralel without waiting for the one in PostBuild event to terminate? Thanks in advance

• How to show scrollbars in TScrollBox after it has been made visible again?

  Hi, I've ran into one small problem. I am dynamicaly generating some controls and place them on a TScrollbox component. But i noticed that if scrollbox is visible, user can clearly see each of the controls being created and placed. So it looksl ike lots of work is being done and it is slow. I hid the scrollbox and generated all the controls on it, which took much less time and no flickering and alike. But here's the problem. When i unhide the scrollbox, its' scrollbar doesn't appear untill i actually resize the form. (The alignment of scrollbox is alClient) Any ideas on how to fix this? Tried repainting, but it didn't work. Refresh didn't work either. Thank you
