  • Changing the Settings item description text color in Android?

    I use a Samsung Vibrant, and one of the annoying bits that Samsung tossed on their TouchWiz skin was changing the color of the Settings menu item description text from white (AOSP) to light blue. This looks okay as long as the skin is bluey-themed, but most ROMs seem to be leaning toward Gingerbread clones... doesn't look good with the green. How can I change that settings description font color back to white, or even the orange it is in actual Android 2.3? Which xml file is the color property located in? It seems to also spread to all apps you install, too... the blue text.

Nothing so far has worked, from using sys.path.append('.') to just import foo I have a python file that wishes to import a file (that is in its parent directory). Can you help me figure out how my child file can successfully import its a file in its parent directory.     I would like to access the Internet Explorer user settings for fonts, especially the font family, within a Browser Helper Object written in C#. I have looked into SHDocVw.WebBrowser and IHTMLDocument( to 5) but I don't see what I'm looking for or missing the property. The BHO is for Internet Explorer 7. Thank you very much! Edit: Richard asks why I need this information: The font-family you can adjust in the IE7 settings is used if the given font-families by the HTML document or CSS are not installed on the system. I need this application-based font-family which is used to render the text in the last instance (if all other information fail).

  • Is it possible to sync specific router settings across multiple routers?

    I recently purchased a second Linksys wireless routers set up on the other side of my home and I am wondering if it is possible to somehow sync particular settings between the two? For instance what I am really after is the "MAC Filter List". I would "like" to be able to maintain the list on both routers without having to manually type in the field values. maybe this isn't possible, or has an easy answer, but hopefully those of you who know will cut me a bit of slack. I tried to "google" the answer to this of course, but it seems any searches with the words "sync" and "router" and/or "wifi" result in pages of people having issues with synching their iOS devices over wifi. I would say that have decent amount of networking knowledge in regards to average home networks, and I imagine in larger businesses / corporations they must have a "simpler" way of maintaining things like this. Any insight to point me in the right direction will be much appreciated.

    I have a lot of different UserControls and would like to maintain consistent UI settings (mainly colors and fonts). My first try was this: public class UISettings { //... public void SetupUserControl(ref UserControl ctrl) { ctrl.BackColor = this.BackColor; } } to be called in every control like this: settings.SetupUserControl(ref this); As this is read-only it cannot be passed by ref argument so this does not work. What are other options to keep consistent UI without manually changing properties for every item?

  • Model in sub-directory via app_label?

    In order to place my models in sub-folders I tried to use the app_label Meta field as described here. My directory structure looks like this: project apps foo models _init_.py bar_model.py In bar_model.py I define my Model like this: from django.db import models class SomeModel(models.Model): field = models.TextField() class Meta: app_label = "foo" I can successfully import the model like so: from apps.foo.models.bar_model import SomeModel However, running: ./manage.py syncdb does not create the table for the model. In verbose mode I do see, however, that the app "foo" is properly recognized (it's in INSTALLED_APPS in settings.py). Moving the model to models.py under foo does work. Is there some specific convention not documented with app_label or with the whole mechanism that prevents this model structure from being recognized by syncdb?

C: Django build django docs Python26 I am doing the django site tutorial and when they say to write django-admin.py startproject mysite from my Python command line, I keep getting: Syntax error: invalid syntax >>>django-admin.py startproject mysite FILE "<stdin>", line 1 django-admin.py startproject mysite ^ My django-admin.py is in the django/bin folder. I installed Python via python setup.py. Am I suppose to use my window's CP? When I do that, I get window's can't open a .py file. I thought I was just creating a folder? How do I create a project with django? Thanks :)

    I love the Epic privacy browser because it is built from the ground up to enhance privacy. It's built on Chromium but because it has stripped out all code that tracks users across the Internet, pages load faster and things work snappier. With one click you can enable a proxy to hide your IP address, sort of like Chrome's "Incognito" mode on steroids. But there's a problem: if I load Epic, go to facebook.com, log in, and then click the proxy button, I can use Facebook for a while. But eventually, Facebook would throw up an error screen, saying that it thinks that my account has been hacked, and then it would make me verify my identity, force me to change my password, etc. I've had to change my password four times in as many days, which is very annoying. Now I turn on the proxy for browsing on to every other site but Facebook. Question: how can I use the proxy settings on Epic privacy browser to successfully log onto and use Facebook?

    I would like to update one module in a python package with my own version of the module, with the following conditions: I want my updated module to live outside of the original package (either because I don't have access to the package source, or because I want to keep my local modifications in a separate repo, etc).   • Something keeps changing the default permissions of my settings.php file for a web site on Linux

    I keep changing the file permissions for the file /var/www/html/websitename/settings.php to 775 and within 15 minutes or so it automatically changes back 555. The owner of the file is "apache" and the group ownership is for our Linux Developers just like all of the other files which are not having this issue. Obviously there must be some sort of process running that is automatically changing the file permissions (apache maybe?) but I haven't been able to figure out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So, I have to apply http://username:password@proxyIp:port/ bash configure file(suppose for wget or curl) or manually entering details for every graphical application (like gtalk).And also if I work with localhost (XAMPP), I have to configure XAMPP, and so on. If I have my proxy password changed I have to change it everywhere on the system!     So recently my computer started turning my screen monitors off after a while without activity, if I move the mouse or hit the keyboard they turn back on. I just want them to stay on. My System is windows 8.1 64 bit, I have 2 screens with mini display port and 1 television with hdmi which often is in regular television mode when this issue happens.     When my MacBook is connected to my Thunderbolt Display, I want WiFi to be turned off, Bluetooth to be turned on and the screen brightness to be at max. On the road I want WiFi to be turned on, Bluetooth to be turned off and the screen brightness to be somewhere in the middle. It would be easy if there was an application that would let me create several profiles (like 'Home' and 'On the road'), which I could easily select (from Dashboard or the menu bar). The profile settings would then be applied instantly. Does an application like this exist?

    Hello everyone, I recently bought a Sony Ericsson mobile phone which embeds Symbian S60 and I would like to add a missing feature myself. In fact I cannot actually disable Internet connection in an easy way when roaming, which cost me a lot of money last time I moved away ... So I would like to develop a little application that would just replace the actual Internet configuration with a fake configuration to avoid auto-connections. So what I would like to know is how can I access programmatically to my phone settings? I believe that this is possible but I do not really have a clue where to start. I know that Sony Ericsson provides a SDK to run Java applications on its customised JVM but Symbian is also providing a SDK to develop applications for S60 devices in many languages. The real questions is which SDK will provide an API able to access phone settings. This is not well documented so I am asking this question with the hope that someone here already had experience with development for Sony Ericsson/Symbian devices. Thanks.

  • Tuning Nvidia driver in Nvidia X Server Settings in Ubuntu to avoid tearing?

    I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 on an Asus at3ion motherboard. I have installed the proprietary nvidia drivers and everything is working fine, but it's a but ragged when I move windows etc. I think the issue is called tearing. There is flickering and the window isn't refreshed smoothly. The ion acceleration works fine (I am running xbmc at 1080p completely without any issues). Please note I am not interested in any fancy effects etc, I just want the graphics to be smooth and nice. How can I tune the nvidia driver for this, i.e., what do I need to change in the Nvidia X Server Settings?

  • How can I prevent Windows 7 from automatically changing the firewall settings (turning it back on) when changing network location?

    By default, the firewall is turned on on all my workstations. I want to disable it. That works just fine. However, if Windows thinks there is a change in the Network Location, the "Set Network Location" dialog appears. At that point my Firewall is still disabled. When my users click on any of the three options "Work", "Home" or "Public", Windows immediately changes the firewall settings and turns it back on. Is it possible to stop Windows 7 from automatically turning the firewall back on when you change the Network Location? If yes, how could I perform this task?
