  • How do I compare a string in an array to a string?

    EDIT: IT'S FIXED, THANKS FOR THE HELP! So basically I have an array of strings, a question and an answer public static String[][] triviaData = { {"Question2", "Answer1"}, {"Question2", "Answer2"}, {"Question3", "Answer3"}, }; And I am trying to make a method that validates an entered input, lets call the entered input enteredAnswer. enteredAnswer is stored as a String. I am trying to validate that the enteredAnswer is the same as the second index of the array. if (enteredAnswer.equalsIgnoreCase(triviaData[Config.CurrentQuestion][1])) { This is the code I tried, but I get the error "Cannot invoke equalsIgnoreCase(String) on the array type String[]" I am a beginner programmer so if you could help me out it would be highly appreciated.   • Get rid the slash in URL (ex. something.com/dogs)

    I recently purchased the domain name simply.do. I want to use it as a URL shortening service, but I don't like have to do simply.do/something. Can I remove the slash or replace it with a difference symbol? If this helps, I am using a server running Nginx and I will not switch to Apache. Thanks! I would also appreciate any feedback on the domain name. I was hoping to sell simply.do/insurance, simply.do/religion, etc. to various companies. Do you think there is a way I could sell these parts on an auction website? Thanks!

  • Will these headphones work with Ubuntu?

    Sorry for the vagueness of this question, but I just wondered if (shot in the dark) anyone knew if these wireless headphones... http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9004203.htm#pdpFullProductInformation Would work with ubuntu? I was thinking if the trasnmitter is USB then I might not get the drivers. Does anyone have any ideas of a way I could find out without paying for them then finding out I cant use them? Thanks, Dave

    I have installed Xilinx 14.7 in ubuntu 14.04 LTS machine(i386 - 64bit). But I am unable to run lmgrd (for starting the license server). When I googled this problem, I found that lsb-core package needs to be installed. But the package is having many dependencies, I want to know how to install lsb-core package with all the necessary dependencies.     I am trying to start mongod but I get $ mongod mongod --help for help and startup options mongod: symbol lookup error: mongod: undefined symbol: _ZN7pcrecpp2RE4InitEPKcPKNS_10RE_OptionsE Searching on google it seems to be related with libpcre; I tried to install last versions of libpcre3 and libpcre++ but it doesn't work. MongoDB shell's version (and mongodb-server's version) is 2.0.4. Ubuntu's version is 12.04. libpcre3's version is 8.12-4. libpcre++0's version is 0.9.5-5.1. Thanks
