  • Creating a menu using xslt for Umbraco

    I've created a menu in umbraco using XSLT. The menu is using the usual ul and li elements and I'm displaying only the first level of the menu. The aim is to create a menu that expands to show the sub menu when I click a parent node (in the top level). I am after the xslt I would need to expose the sub menu when clicked. I think I would need to make use of ancestor-or-self to detect the current menu and parent menu and display them and also the $currentPage variable.     I am testing Java classes with RSpec and JRuby. How can I stub out a call to super in an imported Java class in my RSpec test? For example: I have 2 Java classes: public class A{ public String foo() { return "bar"; } } public class B extends A public String foo() { // B code return super.foo(); } } I am just trying to test the code in B.foo and not the code in A.foo with JRuby. How can I stub out the call to the super class method in my RSpec test? rspec test: java_import Java::B describe B do it "should not call A.foo" do # some code to stub out A.foo b = B.new b.foo.should_not == "bar" end end I have tried including a module with a new foo method in B's class hoping that it would hit the module method first but B still makes a call to A. The inserting module technique works in Ruby but not with JRuby and imported Java classes. Any other ideas to stub out the superclass method to get my RSpec test to pass?

    I just noticed something concerning for-loop performance that seems to fly in the face of the recommendations given by the Google Android team. However, the code that uses a variable which contains the precomputed value for the loop limit is significantly slower than either of the others. I'm not surprised that accessing a variable should be slower that using a literal but why does code that looks like it should be using two multiply instructions on every iteration of the loop so comparable in performance to a literal? Could it be that because literals are the only thing being multiplied, the Java compiler is optimizing out the multiplication and using a precomputed literal?

    The file succeed to upload when it is 2KB or lower in size. The main reason why I use streaming is to be able to upload file up to at least 1 GB. But when I try to upload file with less 1MB size, I get bad request. It is my first time to deal with downloading and uploading process, so I can't easily find the cause of error.   • svnkit: Problem getting entry name

    I'm trying to create a SVN Eclipese EFS plugin and have problems when getting the names of entries. When I make a call to: SVNRepository `//Fetches the contents of a directory into the provided collection object and returns the directory entry itself. SVNDirEntry getDir(String path, long revision, boolean includeCommitMessages, Collection entries)` It correctly returns the entry for the provided path, however, it doesn't set the "name" value on the "returned" entry. Note, the items returned in the collection are all OK. Does anyone know why this is? And/or if there is a workaround? I have a class defined in an assembly : [Serializable] public class A { private readonly string _name; private A(string name) { _name = name; } } And in another assembly : public void f(Type t) { object o = Activator.CreateInstance(t); } and that simple call f(typeof(A)) I expected an exception about the lack of a parameterless constructor because AFAIK, if a ctor is declared, the compiler isn't supposed to generate the default public parameterless constructor. This code runs under .NET 2.0.

    I have a problem to decide which layer in my system should create DataContext. I have read a book, saying that if do not pass the same DataContext object for all the database updates, it will sometimes get an exception thrown from the DataContext. That's why i initially create new instance of DataContext in business layer, and pass it into data access layer. So that the same datacontext is used for all the updates. But this lead to one design problem, if i wanna change my DAL to Non-LinqToSQL in future, i need to re-write the code in business layer as well. Please give me some advice on this. Thanks.   • Android OutOfMemoryError - Loading JSON File

    The app I am working on needs to read a JSON file that may be anywhere from 1.5 to 3 MB in size. It seems to have no problem opening the file and converting the data to a string, but when it attempts to convert the string to a JSONArray, OutOfMemoryErrors are thrown. The exceptions look something like this: E/dalvikvm-heap( 5307): Out of memory on a 280-byte allocation. W/dalvikvm( 5307): Exception thrown (Ljava/lang/OutOfMemoryError;) while throwing internal exception (Ljava/lang/OutOfMemoryError;) One strange thing about this is that the crash only occurs every 2nd or 3rd time the app is run, leaving me to believe that the memory consumed by the app is not being garbage collected each time the app closes. Any insight into how I might get around this issue would be greatly appreciated. I am open to the idea of loading the file in chunks, but I'm not quite sure what the best approach is for such a task. In any case, if I take this out, there is no complaint about the UniqueConstraint, but there is another error which makes me believe it must be left in. org.hibernate.MappingException: Could not determine type for: com.mksoft.fbautomate.domain.Account, at table: Friend, for columns: [org.hibernate.mapping.Column(account)] Any hints how I can create such a desired constraint (i.e., that each combination of account and name occurs only once???) Reading around on SO is starting to give me the indication that this may lead to SQL injection attacks (for any user-input values). Is there anyway of scrubbing the inputted strSQL or do I need to go and create individual parameterized queries in every method that needs to do a database function?

    Hi folks, I seem to have a date formatting problem every day! I am querying a table and am getting a date back in the format dd/mm/yyyy (as a string btw). Brilliant! thats what I want. But, now I want to convert that string to a date so i can do dim dayNumber as integer = day.DayOfWeek But when I convert it to a date it changes it to #m/dd/yyyy#. AHHHH! how can I change this?   • GWT's JSONParser producing incorrect values for numbers.

    I'm work with GWT and parsing a JSON result from an ASP.NET webservice method that returns a DataTable. I can parse the result into a JSONvalue/JSONObject just fine. The issue I'm having is that one my columns in a DECIMAL(20, 0) and the values that are getting parsed into JSON aren't exact. To demonstrate w/o the need for a WS call, in GWT I threw this together: String jsonString = "{value:4768428229311981600}"; JSONObject jsonObject = JSONParser.parse( jsonString ).isObject(); Window.alert( jsonObject.toString() ); This in turn alerts: {"value":4768428229311982000} I'm under the understanding that GWT's JSONParser is just using eval() to do the parsing, so is this some sort of number/precision issue with JavaScript that I've never been aware of. I'll admit I don't work with numbers that much in JavaScript and I might be able to work around this by changing the .NET WebService to return this column as string, but I'd really rather not do that.     Hi all, I have an aspx page which has some javascript code like <script> setTimeout("document.write('" + place.address + "');",1); </script> As it is clear from the code it will going to write something on the page after a very short delay of 1 ms. I have created an another page to get the page executed by some query string and get its output.     Hi I need to assign a formatted date to a column in a data flow. I have added a Derived Column editor and entered the following expression: "BBD" + SUBSTRING((DT_WSTR,4)DATEADD("Day",30,GETDATE()),1,4) + SUBSTRING((DT_WSTR,2)DATEADD("Day",30,GETDATE()),6,2) + SUBSTRING((DT_WSTR,2)DATEADD("Day",30,GETDATE()),9,2) The problem is that the "Derived Column Transformation Editor" automatically assigns a Data Type of "Unicode string[DT_WSTR]" and a length of "7". Howver, the length of a string is 11, therefore the following exception is thrown each time: [Best Before Date [112]] Error: The "component "Best Before Date" (112)" failed because truncation occurred, and the truncation row disposition on "output column "Comments" (132)" specifies failure on truncation. A truncation error occurred on the specified object of the specified component. Does anyone know why the edit is insisting on a length of 7? I don't seem to be able to change this. Many thanks, Rob.
