• "Compiling" content with short tags to var, without eval()

  To start off, let me clear the air by saying we are aware of the dis/advantages to using short tag syntax in PHP. That is not what this question is about. Is there a way to "include" a file containing short tag code, into a variable, and have PHP actually parse the code? include/require obviously do not provide the data in a workable form, and output buffering does not parse the short tag code because it happens at runtime. Using eval() is simply not an option. Suggestions?

  Hi, I have a problem following from my previous problem. I also have the code SwingUtillities.invokeAndWait somewhere else in the code base, but when I remove this the gui does not refresh.   I'm building a simple flash site for a friend who has a spa. I keep getting this error: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at spa7_fla::MainTimeline/frame1() through the process of commenting out code, i've narrowed down to my link section: vox_link.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,gotoVox); function gotoVox(evtObj:Event):void { var voxSite:URLRequest=new URLRequest("http://www.voxmundiproject.com"); navigateToURL(voxSite, "_blank"); } With this section commented out, i don't get the 1009 error.   When dealing with random memory overwrites, in MSVC it is possible to validate the state of the heap at various points with a call to _CrtCheckMemory, and know with at least a small level of confidence that the code up until the check was not responsible for any errors that might cause new or malloc to fail later. In XCode, whats the equivalent way to try and box in a memory overwrite? All I have at the moment is a random failure of a call to new, somewhere deep in the bowels of some code with no real idea of how long the code has been running with a corrupt heap up until that point.

• Actionscript not running in nested MovieClips in Swf loaded into AIR app.

  I'm loading content swfs into an Air App. The swfs are loaded into the non-app sandbox, and any communication is via the parent/child sandbox bridge. The swfs have timeline code. This code executes fine. The swfs also have mcs on the timeline - any code inside these mcs, or any child mcs of these mcs, is ignored. Simple traces do not execute below the top level timeline of the loaded swfs. I have tried naming the child mcs. I have tried exporting them in the library. Neither makes any difference. When I run the swf standalone, I see my diagnostic traces. When I load the swf, I only see the traces for the top level timeline. Air app is v1.5 Any clues? I've been bashing into this brick wall for several hours now...

  When using TRY-CATCH in JavaScript, how to get the line number of the line that caused the error? On many browsers, the below code will work great and I will get the stack trace that points to the actual line that throw the exception. However, some browsers do not have "e.stack". Iphone's safari is one example. • Jenkins merge dev branch to master with -Xtheir stategy

  In GIT Plugin, we can merge one branch to other on work space before the starting of Build. However, plugin does not provide -Xtheir strategy. Now i want dev branch to merge on master, validate test cases and if successful then only push back to master. Problem i face is that if there is a merge conflict, i want changes of dev branch to exits (i know i can use -Xtheirs manually). [Like i can check git as Source Code Management, but can;t use its Additional behavior 'Merge Before Build' ] However when i run the required code in Execute Shell Section of Jenkins Job, It does not works as required and fails with error: fatal: dev - not something we can merge Jenkins Job Code is echo Start of Build git checkout dev git checkout master git status git merge dev --no-commit echo End of Build I have also used them with bask -l -c "", but is same problem.

  Hey there everyone, I am trying to delete a file, but somehow nsfilemanager will not allow me to do so. I do use the file in one line of code, but once that action has been ran, I want the file deleted. I have logged the error code and message and I get error code: 4 and the message: "text.txt" could not be removed Is there a way to fix this error "cleanly" (without any hacks) so that apple will accept this app onto their Mac App Store? • Is there a non-blocking version of MessageBox.Show (or something like it)?

  Often you just want to notify the user that something has occurred, but there's really no need for any input from them. In this common scenario, I sometimes see code like this: MessageBox.Show("Something has occurred", "Something", MessageBoxButtons.OK); This code, as we all know, causes a little pop-up window to appear with only an OK button. Now here's the thing: this code blocks (the UI thread). But in the vast majority of cases, it seems to me, if you only have an OK button, there's very little need to block. (Isn't the purpose of blocking typically to receive some input from the user? And if the user's only choice is "OK," in this typical case, isn't blocking pretty pointless?) Obviously I could just write my own little form that does basically exactly what MessageBox.Show does, except that it returns nothing (no DialogResult) and doesn't block. But I was just wondering if something like this exists already that I didn't know about.

• PHP - Resize an image and fill gaps of proportions with a color

  I am uploading logos to my system, and they need to fix in a 60x60 pixel box. I have all the code to resize it proportionately, and that's not a problem. My 454x292px image becomes 60x38. The thing is, I need the picture to be 60x60, meaning I want to pad the top and bottom with white each (I can fill the rectangle with the color). The theory is I create a white rectangle, 60x60, then I copy the image and resize it to 60x38 and put it in my white rectangle, starting 11px from the top (which adds up to the 22px of total padding that I need. I would post my code but it's decently long, though I can if requested. Does anyone know how to do this or can you point me to code/tutorial that does this?

• Accessing a control in asp.net content page through Javascript

  Hi, I have a form in my content page for which I am doing some client side validations via Javascript. The Javascript behaves as expected if I place the JS code directly in the content page. But if I place the JS code in it's own file and try accessing that from the content/master page (through the script tag's src attribute), I get a run time error when the validation function in JS being called. To be specific, I get the below error. Microsoft JScript runtime error: Objected expected/required at this line - document.getElementById('<%=txtemailId.ClientID %').value txtemailId is in the content page. Javascript code is placed in validation.js and accessed via master page. The reason I guess is that when .net is parsing the files, it is unable to substitute txtemailId.ClientID with the client side value that would be generated later on. So, how should one go about it?   I'm using the JQuery validation plug to validate my entire form. I also have a dynamic table on my registration page where the user can register more people. I can validate the rest of the form fine but my goal is to validate the table inputs just the same. Here is my jfiddle code: tables I don't know why the add line won't work there but it definitely works on my page. Anyway, that code ends up validate ONLY the first row of my table, but I want it to validate every single row. Can anyone see any problems with the code?

• How to parse JSON to receive a Date object in JavaScript?

  I have a following piece of JSON: \/Date(1293034567877)\/ which is a result of this .NET code: var obj = DateTime.Now; var serializer = new System.Web.Script.Serialization.JavaScriptSerializer(); serializer.Serialize(obj).Dump(); Now the problem I am facing is how to create a Date object from this in JavaScript. All I could find was incredible regex solution (many containing bugs). It is hard to believe there is no elegant solution as this is all in JavaScrip, I mean JavaScript code trying to read JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) which is supposed to be a JavaScript code and at this moment it turns out it's not cause JavaScript cannot do a good job here. I've also seen some eval solutions which I could not make to work (besides being pointed out as security threat). Is there really no way to do it in an elegant way? • Using netlink to obtain arp entries only returns stale entries

  I'm currently trying to retrieve reachable neighbors from the arp table in a user space program written in c.   Hi, I want as my application to be structured in 2 parts: the logic code and the UI. I've tried to implement that using a controller class(here I keep the logic code) inside of each activity. The activity send messages to controller and receive the answer in two ways: the answer is returned immediately (if the action is not complex and it can be done in a verry short time) the activity set some listeners and the controller fire this listener when the action is complete. The problems appears when the controller have a lot of objects(each object should handle a set of actions and for each action I have to set & trigger a listener): it is hard to keep the code syncronized. I'm asking if you know a better way to implement this mechanism. Thank you.

  In native development, you can produce libraries - .so, .dll etc - that other libraries and programs can share. In Java, you can put your code in a JAR in the classpath and other programs and libraries can use it. So how can you do modular programs in Android? I get the impression from the documentation that each APK is a self-contained island. Can different APKs share code? And how does installation work when you have these external dependencies? Can you specify that you rely on library that is not in your APK and get it installed too? If you can't have 'dynamic linking', can you have 'static linking' by developing your shared code and somehow putting the equiv of a JAR into each APK that requires it?

  Hi, I have a Windows Phone 7 application with the following listbox and every item contains 2 textblocks and a HyperlinkButton. <ListBox.ItemTemplate> In the ViewModel constructor I have the following code: GetCommand = new RelayCommand(() ={some code}); where GetCommand is a property : public RelayCommand GetCommand { get; private set; } My problem is that GetCommand = new RelayCommand(() ={some code}); is not executing when I press the button. I must say that if dont place the HyperlinkButton insise the itemTemplate, everything works fine.
