  It used to be the number one reason for us to choose MSTest from others that we could access and test private methods. Now that Private accessors are deprecated in Visual Studio 2012. Does anyone know why Microsoft make such decision? Is it because it's not a good practice to test private methods? Also, if I still need to unit test my private methods, how could I do that in VS 2012 and later versions?

  Hey I'm wondering when accessing Zend_Registry in an application if you need to include getInstance() and if so, why? for example Zend_Registry::getInstance()-get('db'); vs. Zend_Registry::get('db'); they both seem to work with the later being less verbose. I vaguely understand that Zend_Registry is a singleton, which I think means there can only be one instance of it? so why would you need getInstance()?

After searching I found a nifty trick to see the content of the array in the "Watch 1" tab, (How to view contents of an array while debugging in Code Blocks?), but going from "watch 1" to "Autos" every step to see what's changing in the array isn't practical at all. • Httpclient not returning entire response

  Using HttpClient 4.0, Im having an issue where the response I get from the ResponseHandler is only about half of what the actual page content should be (~61k bytes in the string vs ~125k in the page returned to a browser). • Why is graphical emacs so ugly?

  Every hacker I know uses terminal emacs. Graphical emacs is hideous. The default text is huge and out of place, and the borders are much bigger and blockier than in any other application. Everything I've read about switching the font is confusing and completely different than the font selection used by other applications (I'm on Ubuntu). Does anyone actually use graphical emacs (vs -nw)? If so, how do you make it bearable?

  I'm having a problem running a VS 2005 app on some machines and not others. I looked up the error message on google and found a post by someone who had the same error and fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling the .NET framework. When I try to do that, Windows won't let me because it is in use. Am I expected to uninstall everything that is using the framework first, then uninstall the framework, then reinstall, etc.? Does anyone know of an easier way?
