    We have developed a application for HTC HD2 mobile, which has windows 7 CE. I have designed application to work for both the orientation (portrait, landscape) Now I wanted to achieve auto screen rotation (portrait to landscape and landscape to portrait) according to the device movement (some thing like iPhone). Can i able to achieve it? if yes how can I? It will be appreciable if you provide me link or sample code.

  • WPF Animate a Matrix using interpolation

    I'm having a issue with my application that is using touch gestures to scale, translate and rotate my scene. I was using a TransformGroup which contained TranslateTransform, ScaleTransform and a RotateTransform but I could not get the movement correct, it always jumps and skips, so I moved to a MaxtrixTransform which I was able to use much easier to get my scene to be zoomable, rotatable and panable nicely. However, what I later found out was that you cannot animate smoothly (using interpolation) the values of a Matrix, for what reason I have no idea, but its part of the MSDN doco and the properties of the Matrix are not dependency properties anyways... Has anyone had any luck animating a matrix to make it smooth? The only idea(s) I have had is to animate a few different, custom DP which all have callbacks that I update the matrix from OR To convert the matrix to a set of Transform objects that I then animate and then afterwords convert back. Is there a smarter way to do this?

I'm interested in building a community site so I'd like to know my options. It doesn't have to be free but it needs to be something a normal engineer can afford. Thanks! Update: I prefer a Java-based solution because I'm a Java developer and I figure that it would be easier for me to customize it or modify its code when necessary. I know that PHP forums such as phpBB and vBulletin are very popular but I wouldn't want to touch PHP code.

  • Consuming all touchEvents not preventing scrolling on the blackberry storm

    Hello, I am trying to make a custom control for the BlackBerry Storm using SDK v5.0. This control needs to disable scrolling while the user is dragging elements within a field. The problem is that even if I my control consumes every single touch event send to it, when the user lifts their finger off the screen it still flings up or down as if its finishing a scroll action. Does anyone know of a way to prevent this from happening or what I might be doing wrong ? Thank you.

  • How to create a backup from SqlAlchemy?

    I'm writing a Pylons app, and am trying to create a simple backup system where every table is serialized and tarred up into a single file for an administrator to download, and use to restore the app should something bad happen. I can serialize my table data just fine using the SqlAlchemy serializer, and I can deserialize it fine as well, but I can't figure out how to commit those changes back to the database. In order to serialize my data I am doing this: from myproject.model.meta import Session from sqlalchemy.ext.serializer import loads, dumps q = Session.query(MyTable) serialized_data = dumps(q.all()) In order to test things out, I go ahead and truncation MyTable, and then attempt to restore using serialized_data: from myproject.model import meta restore_q = loads(serialized_data, meta.metadata, Session) This doesn't seem to do anything... I've tried calling a Session.commit after the fact, individually walking through all the objects in restore_q and adding them, but nothing seems to work. What am I missing? Or is there a better way to do what I'm aiming for? I don't want to shell out and directly touch the database, since SqlAlchemy supports different database engines.

    I can't touch the html theme but I have access to the css files. <div class="photos"> <img src="a.jpg" alt="" align="left" /> <img src="b.jpg" alt="" align="left" /> <img src="c.jpg" alt="" align="left" /> //align makes the images wrap </div> Unfortunately I can't remove align="left" from the images otherwise this CSS snippet would have done the job .photos{ white-space: nowrap; } .photos img{ display: inline; vertical-align: top; } Any ideas? Is it even possible to make these images line-up horizontally without using the force of a table and only with CSS? Many Thank in advance!

  • How do you get subversion diff summary to ignore mergeinfo properties?

    I have subversion 1.6.5 client and 1.5.4 server. And I mostly only care about diffs on fully repository paths, not working copies. When diffing branches ones that have been merged already show up as identical except for the mergeinfo properties. This is a touch annoying for a human who has to then look through the changes looking for anything that might be a real change. However it's somewhat worse in out use case as we have scripts that run around checking on the merge state of various things and the mergeinfo properties cause them to highlight a lot of things as being out of sync when they aren't. Is there a way to get the diff summary to ignore the mergeinfo properties?

    Hi guys, I'm creating a On-Screen keyboard for my application, and it supports skins as well. Here's what I'm doing with the skins, I have a folder which contains some images and a xml file which maps the images to the keyboard, I want to be able to have the folder as a zip file like in Office 2007 (.docx) and iPhone firmwares (.ipsw), I know I can simply zip the folder and change the extension, what I need to know is how to read the files in the code.   • backbone.js Model.get() returns undefined, scope using coffeescript + coffee toaster?

    I'm writing an app using coffeescript with coffee toaster (an awesome NPM module for stitching) that builds my app.js file. Lots of my application classes and templates require info about the current user so I have an instance of class User (extends Backbone.Model) stored as a property of my main Application class (extends Backbone.Router). As part of the initialization routine I grab the user from the server (which takes care of authentication, roles, account switching etc.). Here's that coffeescript: @user = new models.User @user.fetch() console.log(@user) console.log(@user.get('email')) The first logging statement outputs the correct Backbone.Model attributes object in the console just as it should: User _changing: false _escapedAttributes: Object _pending: Object _previousAttributes: Object _silent: Object attributes: Object account: Object created_on: "1983-12-13 00:00:00" email: "[email protected]" icon: "0" id: "1" last_login: "2012-06-07 02:31:38" name: "Ben Ipsen" roles: Object __proto__: Object changed: Object cid: "c0" id: "1" __proto__: ctor app.js:228 However, the second returns undefined despite the model attributes clearly being there in the console when logged. And just to make things even more interesting, typing "window.app.user.get('email')" into the console manually returns the expected value of "[email protected]"... ?   • Can I increase a buttons onclick-area programmatically?

    Sometimes I have a button in my UI that it is so small that it is difficult to click. My solution so far has been to add a transparent border around the button in photoshop. Just increasing the padding on the button does not work, since this will also stretch the image. Since it is kind of a fuss to open photoshop each time I want to change the clickable surface, is there any way to do this programmatically? I have tried placing a framelayout behind the button and make it clickable, but then the button wont change appearance on touch as it should. Ofcourse I could also add a ontouchlistener on the framelayout which changes the buttons appearance, but then it quite some code if I have several of those buttons. Cheers,

    I am new to git and recently set up a new account with github. I'm following a rails tutorial from Michael Hartl online ( http://www.railstutorial.org/book#fig:github_first_page ) and followed his instructions to set up my git which were also inline with the setup instructions at github. Anyways, the "Next Steps" section on github were: mkdir sample_app cd sample_app git init touch README git add README git commit -m 'first commit' git remote add origin [email protected]:rosdabos55/sample_app.git git push origin master I got all the way to the last instruction (git push origin master) without any problem. When I entered that last line into my terminal, however, I got this error message: "fatal: No path specified. See 'man git-pull' for valid url syntax." What might I be doing wrong?

    I need some scripts inside an existing site's scripts.js. This site has been online for ages, and I can not touch the scripts file. I am including it standardly in another page. There are numerous jQuery calls in the scripts file. The place I include it does not have jQuery. I want to void all $() type things. I tried this... $ = function() { }; before I included scripts.js and it didn't seem to work. I am still getting errors like $(document) is undefined Is there a way to void all these jQuery calls?     I have a website that is using the viewport META tag to tell mobile browsers how to display content ( ). Viewing the page in the Android browser looks correct (and iPhone, etc). When I load the page into a WebView component in an android Application, the WebView ignores the "VIEWPORT" tag, and renders the page at "full" resolution, which is zoomed-in in this case.

  • ImageMagick and Grails not working

    I'm trying to have ImageMagick run from grails to convert some images when I run the command to make an image nothing happens. I get no errors, no information returned nothing at all. I've tried running other commands like touch and ps ux just to see if they work and they all work fine. It just seems like the imagemagick commands are getting lost and I''m not sure what to do. Here is the code I've been working with. String command = CH.config.ImageMagickPath + "/convert -size 40x20 xc:red xc:blue -append -rotate 90 append_rotate.gif" println command command.execute() CH.config.ImageMagickPath is set up to where imagemagick/bin is. I've taken what is shown in println command and run it in a terminal and it works fine. Is there any reason why I can't get IM to work from grails?

  • What's the easiest way to use OAuth with ActiveResource?

    I'm working with some old code and using ActiveResource for a very basic Twitter integration. I'd like to touch the app code as little as possible and just bring OAuth in while still using ActiveResource. Unfortunately I'm finding no easy way to do this. I did run into the oauth-active-resource gem, but it's not exactly documented and it appears to be designed for creating full-on API wrapper libraries. As you can imagine, I'd like to avoid creating a whole Twitter ActiveResource API wrapper for this one legacy change. Any success stories out there? In my instance, it might be quicker to just leave ActiveResource rather than get this working. I'm happy to be proven wrong!

  • users see my SMS messages as coming from '1010100001'

    In my application, I ask the user to enter their cell and select their provider. I append the provider's email and create the message and fire via php.mail() The problem is that no matter what the header info is, the message comes from '1010100001' on some phones (like AT&T and the iPhone). When testing on my Verizon phone, I get the proper email address as the sender. Any idea how I can send a clearer message?
