  • List has no value after adding values in

    I am creating a a ghost sprite that will mimic the main sprite after 10 seconds of the game. I am storing the users movements in a List<string> and i am using a foreach loop to run the movements. The problem is when i run through the game by adding breakpoints the movements are being added to the List<string> but when the foreach runs it shows that the list has nothing in it. Why does it do that? Because categories are almost the same(they can change/add once a month or something), I don't think I have to query the database for each access of the web-page. Do you have a better idea for me? Is there any free tool which will take a single image, and output a single image containing several rotations? It should also ideally let us control how many images are in each row. e.g if I have a 32x32 sprite and I want it rotated at 10 degree intervals, the tool might generate a 320x32 file or a 160x64 file

    I made an autogenerated movie clip using JES (Jython Environment for Students). I can play it without any problem using playMovie(), but I can't figure out how to have it saved physically on disk. The error java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException has occured Please check line 35 Note : I also tried the function writeAVI(), with the exact same result. This error sounds like a java bug in Jython/JES library. I am running JES under Windows 7 and have all the common Quicktime and AVI codex installed as well as the QTjava library in my jre... Any brilliant idea ? EDIT : Also tried the Linux version with same result for both QuickTime and AVI...

    I run a website that includes a blog which was hand-coded by myself and is hosted on the same domain. My partner in this endeavour thinks it would be a good idea to open up a blogger/wordpress blog and duplicate the on-site blog on this off-site blog. AFAIK the main reason for doing this is the SEO benefits of the inbound links that this off-site blog will create. I think this is a bad idea, because: Effectively what we're doing is creating a (very small scale) link farm We're more likely to be punished than rewarded (in SEO terms) for duplicating our content across domains This introduces a problem of synchronising our content across domains. For example, if a blog post is edited on the on-site blog, then ideally the off-site blog should be similarly updated. I know very little about SEO, so would be interested to hear what more informed readers have to say.

So within "flight", a record definitely exists with this Id. But, this still gives me a non-array result, so that when I try to use foreach on it, it errors out. Suggestions?

    I am searching for a word, in this case "hehe" that is located in the file findTest by using grep, but when i initiate the search: grep -r "hehe" or grep -lr "hehe" it starts but after 5 min waiting nothing happens, even if i am in the same directory as the file. the only way i get a results straight away is being in the same directory and typing: grep "hehe" findTest Are their any other ways to search for a word? even if not in the same directory.

  • SharePoint - Auto-increment dates in new records?

    Hello, I have a list that's going to be updated with relatively static data weekly, and I wanted to create a workflow to do this automatically. The only field I'm having trouble with is Start Date. I want the new Start Date to be exactly one week after the previous week's (row's) Start Date, but I can't figure out how to capture this. I can't seem to find an easy way to get the value of the previous row. Now, theoretically, I could just have the workflow run once a week on a given day and use [Today] as the value for the field; however, a requirement is that the list can be populated a few weeks in advance if needed. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

  • JPA - Real primary key generated ID for references

    I have ~10 classes, each of them, have composite key, consist of 2-4 values. 1 of the classes is a main one (let's call it "Center") and related to other as one-to-one or one-to-many. Thinking about correct way of describing this in JPA I think I need to describe all the primary keys using @Embedded / @PrimaryKey annotations. Question #1: My concern is - does it mean that on the database level I will have # of additional columns in each table referring to the "Center" equal to number of column in "Center" PK? If yes, is it possible to avoid it by using some artificial unique key for references? Could you please give an idea how real PK and the artificial one needs to be described in this case? Note: The reason why I would like to keep the real PK and not just use the unique id as PK is - my application have some data loading functionality from external data sources and sometimes they may return records which I already have in local database. If unique ID will be used as PK - for new records I won't be able to do data update, since the unique ID will not be available for just downloaded ones. At the same time it is normal case scenario for application and it just need to update of insert new records depends on if the real composite primary key matches. Question #2: All of the 10 classes have common field "date" which I described in an abstract class which each of them extends. The "date" itself is never a key, but it always a part of composite key for each class. Composite key is different for each class. To be able to use this field as a part of PK should I describe it in each class or is there any way to use it as is? I experimented with @Embedded and @PrimaryKey annotations and always got an error that eclipselink can't find field described in an abstract class. Thank you in advance! PS. I'm using latest version of eclipselink & H2 database.

    What is the best way to produce several tables of unknown size on the same worksheet? Values will be pulled from an oracle database and are used as values on several tables. Is it possible to create dynamic named ranges or is some other method desirable? I have some experience with c# but do not have access to VSTO 2005. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to explain the problem further if requested.

  • Observing 'click' event on <a> tag generated by scriptaculous Builder

    I'm using scriptaculous Builder to generate some DOM elements dynamically, and one of them is a link tag. I wasn't sure how to generate this with the click callback inline along with the rest of the Builder code, so I'm generating the link tag ahead of time and then inserting it with the rest of the Builder phase. The problem is that the callback for the link is never actually executed when I click the link, and the URL bar changes to http://localhost/foo/bar/# instead. But @case.Id is not set until the transaction is committed. Is that expected behavior? I would very much like to get the Id before committing. Can it be done?

  • strlen returns incorrect value when called in gdb

    So I'm noticing some severely incorrect behavior from calls to standard library functions inside GDB. I have the following program to illustrate: #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <string.h> int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { char *s1 = "test"; char *s2 = calloc(strlen("test")+1,sizeof(char)); snprintf(s2,strlen("test")+1,"test"); printf("string constant: %lu\n", strlen(s1)); printf("allocated string: %lu\n", strlen(s2)); free(s2); return 0; } When run from the command-line, this program outputs just what you'd expect: string constant: 4 allocated string: 4 However, in GDB, I get the following, incorrect output from calls to strlen(): (gdb) p strlen(s1) $1 = -938856896 (gdb) p strlen(s2) $2 = -938856896 I'm pretty sure this is a problem with glibc shipped with Ubuntu (I'm using 10.10), but this is a serious problem for those of us who spend lots of time in GDB. Is anyone else experiencing this kind of error? What's the best way to fix it? Build glibc from source? (I'm already running a version of GDB built from source)

    I scripted the tables in my dev database using SQL 2008 - generate scripts option (Datbase-right click-Tasks-Generate Scripts) and ran it on the staging database, but the script throws the below error for each table Msg 102, Level 15, State 1, Line 1 Incorrect syntax near '('. Msg 319, Level 15, State 1, Line 15 Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'with'. If this statement is a common table expression, an xmlnamespaces clause or a change tracking context clause, the previous statement must be terminated with a semicolon.     in a double-submitted cookie csrf prevention scheme, is it necessary for the server to provide the cookie? it seems i could have javascript on the clients page generate and set a cookie "anti_csrf", then double submit that (once as a cookie, done by the browser, and once in the body of the request). a foreign domain would not be able to read or write the "anti_csrf" cookie to include it in the body of a request. is this secure, or am i overlooking something?

Does a for with a yield always return an IndexedSeq, or can it also return some other type of collection class (a LinearSeq, for example)?
