  • [bash] files indexed by production date

    - by caas
Each day an application creates a file called file_YYYYMMDD.csv where YYYYMMDD is the production date. But sometimes the generation fails and no files are generated for a couple of days. I'd like an easy way in a bash or sh script to find the filename of the most recent file, which has been produced before a given reference date. Typical usage: find the last generated file, disregarding those produced after the May 1st. Thanks for your help

  • Native XML WebService Without Authentication

    - by tom
So this my first question here, let's look how it works. I'm working on a project, which has to to provide a "Native XML WebService" on a SQL Server 2005. The web service and the WSDL generation works fine. But there are troubles with the authentication. Is it possible to turn the authentication off (The tests and the documentation by Microsoft say no.)? And if so how?

  • Dedicating all processor power to a task

    - by Yktula
Let's say we have a very processor-intensive task at hand which could be effectively parallelized. How can we dedicate all or almost all available processor power to performing that task? The task could be a variety of things, and iterative Fibonacci number generation that saves recorded numbers would be just one example.

  • Doxygen autolink not working to global enum types

    - by MeThinks
I am trying to use Doxygen Automatic link generation to document some enum types. However, it is not generating links for the global enum types. It does generates links for the global struct types. Is there something I am missing? I am using the example provided on the link above. As required, I have documented the file in which the types are defined. update1: I am using Doxygen version 1.6.3 update2: global structs are ok

  • DOM Storage and locks

    - by user535759
Since DOM storage and its equivalencies persist in between tabs and windows, I've thought about using it for message passing. The problem is that fetch and store are different operations, and therefore not atomic. I have models that rely on UUID generation, conflict resolutions, and beaconing to do the small subset of what I need to do, but my real question is this: Since the local storage is a shared memory resource, what are the locking mechanisms available for mutual access?

  • Simple Java to XML example

    - by Tom Brito
I've read a time ago about generate xml from Java using annotations, but I'm not finding a simple example now. If I want to make a xml file like: <x:element uid="asdf">value</x:element> from my java class: public class Element { private String uid = "asdf"; } Which annotations I should use to perform that? (I have a xml-schema, if this helps the generation)

  • What is Caliburn Validation abstraction

    - by Chen Kinnrot
Recently I saw this document that specify how great is Caliburn(Not really it compares it to the micro framework, and thats enough). I'm working with Caliburn for more than a year and don't know many things about it. So maybe someone can explain the following(Some of it I can understand but have no iea about the relation to caliburn): Validation abstraction module framework ExpressionTree-Based runtime delegate generation ViewModelFactory ShellFramework I'm working with V1.1 so if something is new in 2.0, just say it belong to the new version I'll learn it probably in the future.

  • Engineering techniques to diminish MVVM Driven Development time?

    - by Oscar Cabrero
Hi Currently we just start releasing modules for a big project in MVVM but seems like the deliverables are starting to encounter a slowness with this model, such things as the learning curve effort and the fact that mvvm do requires a bit more code than other patterns, What Programming and software engineering techniques do you employ or thing could help us reduce the effort and speed up development? things like code generation with T4 templates, ligth MVVM frameworks, use Expression Blend, hire a designer to hanle UX. Thanks for any advice you could provide.

  • Is there a mean to specify specialization-genralization (inheritance) of actors in UML?

    - by Ivan
I am just starting to use UML and have came to the following question: Some actors clearly are specialized versions of a natural entity. For example I've got Administrator and User actors which are clearly nothing but different roles of a user, Authorizer and Dispatcher which are services (and are going to be implemented this way). Should I just ignore these facts while modelling actors and use cases or specify it some way? I think I could make good use of such a specification to facilitate code generation.

  • How to get number of delete using NHibernate IStatistics

    - by epitka
I am trying to get the number of delete statements issued during the session, so I enabled statistics generation and I got a reference to it through SessionFactory.Statistics. But I don't see a way to get the global number of deletes. I can get the statistics for the entity, but I have one many-to-many mapped relationship that does not materialize in an entity, everything is done through a table that is not mapped to an entity. Is there a way to get this number?

  • .NET object creation and generations

    - by nimoraca
Is there a way to tell the .NET to allocate a new object in generation 2 heap. I have a problem where I need to allocate approximately 200 MB of objects, do something with them, and throw them away. What happens here is that all the data gets copied two times (from gen0 to gen1 and then from gen1 to gen2).

  • How to listen to that property?

    - by mystify
@constant kAudioSessionProperty_AudioInputAvailable A UInt32 with a value other than zero when audio input is available. Use this property, rather than the device model, to determine if audio input is available. A listener will notify you when audio input becomes available. For instance, when a headset is attached to the second generation iPod Touch, audio input becomes available via the wired microphone. So, if I wanted to get notified about kAudioSessionProperty_AudioInputAvailable, how would I do that?

There is any c# library that help with the graphical part of a UML generation? There is any XML standart format to generate UML flows that can be converted to IMG? I need something like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:LampFlowchart.svg

  • How to sort by hexadecimals in xslt?

    - by fielding
Hi, im trying to sort my transformed output by a element which contains a hex value. <xsl:sort select="Generation/Sirio/Code" data-type="number"/> Values are plain old Hex: 00 01 02 ... 0A ... FF but they are getting sorted like that: 0A FF 00 01 02, which indicates the sorting method fails as soon as there are character involved. How can i work around this? Thank you very much!

  • Eclipse Debug Mode disrupting MSSQL Server 2005 Stored Procedure access

    - by Sathish
We have a strange problem in our team. When a developer is using Eclipse in Debug mode, MS SQL Server 2005 blocks other developers from accessing a stored procedure. Debug session typically involves opening Hibernate session to persist an entity which could be accessing a stored procedure used for Primary key generation. Debugging is done in business logic code and rarely in JDBC stored procedure call. Is there any way to configure MS SQL server or the stored procedure so that other developers are not blocked?

  • Does Microsoft make available the .obj files for its CRT versions to enable whole program optimizati

    - by Leeks and Leaks
Given the potential performance improvements from LTCG (link time code generation, or whole program optimization), which requires the availability of .obj files, does Microsoft make available the .obj files for the various flavors of its MSVCRT releases? One would think this would be a good place for some potential gain. Not sure what they have to lose since the IL that is generated in the .obj files is not documented and processor specific.

  • How do I get the "bucket id" that winqual uses if I have a minidump file or exception structure? (Windows c++)

    - by Tim
There are a few related questions on SO - but have not found the answer - I would like to generate a "signature"/bucket id to report a minidump/crash back to our issue tracking system. Since MS already does this with "bucket ids" I figured I could just re-use their bucket/signature generation. Can I get that ID from either a top level filter or the _EXCEPTION_POINTERS object I have inside the filter or the _MINIDUMP_EXCEPTION_INFORMATION structure or from the minidump itself? This is a C++ application.
