  • Unable to encode to iso-8859-1 encoding for some chars using Perl Encode module

    I have a HTML string in ISO-8859-1 encoding. I need to pass this string to HTML:Entities::decode_entities() for converting some of the HTML ASCII codes to respective chars. To so i am using a module HTML::Parser::Entities 3.65 but after decode_entities() operation my whole string changes to utf-8 string. This behavior seems fine as the documentation of the HTML::Parse. As i need this string back in ISO-8859-1 format for further processing so i have used Encode::encode("iso-8859-1",$str) to change the string back to ISO-8859-1 encoding. My results are fine excepts for some chars, a question mark is coming instead. One example is single quote ' ASCII code (’) Can anybody help me if there any limitation of Encode module? Any other pointer will also be helpful to solve the problem. Thanks

  • MVC Site - Ensuring the default entry view is always correct

    I have a MVC site with AD authorization. This is all working fine. I publish the site to the webserver and call the site directly (http://intranet). If I have not logged in for a while (I have an authorised cookie with a 30 minute TTL), I am prompted to log-in and if successful I am redirected to the homeController's index view. This is great and as expected. If I keep the session open (browser open) and browse away from the site, if I then browse back to http://intranet, I am not challenged as I have recently authenticated but the default page is from a different controller and not the home page view. How can I stop this from happening? It cannot be a session setting as this is not a new session and the routes appear correct - they are not beng called at this point anyhow. Please MVC guru's advise....!

  • Maven webapp with maven-eclipse-plugin doesn't generates <dependent-module>

    I use the eclipse:eclipse goal to generate an Eclipse Project environment. The deployment works fine. The goal creates the var classpath entries for all needed dependencies. With m2eclipse there was the Maven Container which defines an export folder which was WEB-INF/lib for me. But i don't want to rely on m2eclipse so i don't use it anymore. the class path entries which are generated by eclipse:eclipse goal don't have such a export folder. While booting the servlet container with WTP it publishes all resources and classes except the libraries to the context. Whats missing to publish the needed libs, or isn't that possible without m2eclipse integration?   • How to export Configuration of each IIS 6 Web Site using WMI

    Hi all, I need to export the WebSite Configuration (MetaBase) from IIS6 for a whole server, but I need each web site configuration to be saved separately. The result should be the same that can be obtained by right clicking on each Web Site in IIS Snap-in and selecting All Tasks-Save Configuration to a File. My idea is quite simple: 1- Using WMI, retrieve a list of Web Sites. 2- Also via WMI, export each configuration to a file having the same name of the Web Site. However, I'm having some difficulties, mainly due to the complexity of WMI and, in my opinion, the poor documentation of its classes. At the moment I found out how to enumerate Virtual Directories, but not Web Sites; while it's true that this method returns Web Sites as well, I can't see how to identify them among other virtual folders (a Web Site has different properties, which are not returned in the Virtual Directory Object), and I can't find the Web Site Description property, which I'd like to use to name the exported file. I thought about a workaround for all the above issues, but it would be more a hack than a real solution... Any help if appreciated. Thanks.

    I'm porting android to Devkit8000 which is a BeagleBoard clone. I have a GPS module connected on /dev/ttyS0. I could successfully get NMEA output when writing "cat /dev/ttyS0" in the terminal emulator. I want to know how to let android know that there is a GPS module on /dev/ttyS0 and it is outputting NMEA standard? To be able to use the android.location class with it! Is there something to edit in the android's source? adding driver for example, writing a code with android-ndk or what?

  • Init modules in apache2

    Hello, I used to write apache modules in apache 1.3, but these days I am willing to pass to apache2. The module that I am writing at the moment has is own binary data, not a database, for performance purposes. I need to load this data in shared memory, so every child can access it without making his own copy, and it would be practical to load/create the binary data at startup, as I was used to do with apache 1.3. Problem is that I don't find an init event in apache2, in 1.3 in the module struct, immediatly after STANDARD_MODULE_STUFF you find a place for a /** module initializer */, in which you can put a function that will be executed early. Body of the function I used to write is something like: if ( getppid == 1 ) { // Load global data here // this is the parent process void* data = loadGlobalData( someFilePath ); setGlobalData( config, data ); } else { // this is the init of a child process // do nothing } I am looking for a place in apache2 in where I can put a similar function.   • Plone site files owner

    Hello everybody, I accidentally changed owner of all files on my plone site to plone, and I don't know how to fix this without reinstalling site, which won't be acceptable. I have backup version which keeps default owners but it's changed in the meanwhile on the dafault site. Maybe rsync can sync only ownerships between these copies??? Any idea would be precious.     I have a Django site in which the site admin inputs their Twitter Username/Password in order to use the Twitter API. The Model is set up like this: class TwitterUser(models.Model): screen_name = models.CharField(max_length=100) password = models.CharField(max_length=255) def __unicode__(self): return self.screen_name I need the Admin site to display the password field as a password input, but can't seem to figure out how to do it. I have tried using a ModelAdmin class, a ModelAdmin with a ModelForm, but can't seem to figure out how to make django display that form as a password input...

  • Building a titanium module with xcode that uses other libraries

    I have a Titanium module and i want to use it for voice over ip using pjsip. I have changed the project settings the following way: added to the other linker flags the libraries from pjsip added to the header search paths the headers from pjsip added to the library search paths the libraries from pjsip If i do these things for a normap iPhone app it works i can make calls i have tested it and made a wrapper class that has methods like makeCall, hangup. etc. But i want to use this class together with the libraries from pjsip in a Titanium module. It gives me errors like: implicit declaration of function 'pjsua_perror' implicit declaration of function 'pjsua_destroy' 'pjsua_config' undeclared (first use in this function) These are all part of pjsip (pjsua_perror and pjsua_destroy are functions and pjsua_config is a struct) Does it work this way? Can i include other libraries in a library? What is the difference between making an app that uses libraries and making a library that uses libraries?

When a dump is issued they are listed as follows: Compile Options for PROGXX: ADV, ARITH(COMPAT), AWO, NOCICS, CODEPAGE(01140), DATA(31), NODATEPROC, NODBCS, NODLL, NODYNAM, NOEXPORTALL, NOFASTSRT, INTDATE(LILIAN), NUMPROC(NOPFD), NOOPTIMIZE, OUTDD(SYSOUT), PGMNAME(COMPAT), RENT, RMODE(AN NOSQL, SQLCCSID, SSRANGE, NOTEST, NOTHREAD, TRUNC(OPT), XMLPARSE(XMLSS), YEARWINDOW(1900), ZWB so I presume they must be tucked away somewhere in the load module. I want to scan a load library checking that each load was compiled with some specific options to ensure compliance to shop standard (eg. SSRANGE). Any ideas would be appreciated.

  • How to include NetBeans Platform Source code into module dependencies

    I am debugging a NetBeans Platform application. I have downloaded the NetBeans Platform source code .zip file. I would really really like to attach the source code to the debugger so that I can seamlessly jump to internal NB source code. Normally I would edit the Library configuration to tell NB where to find the source code, and it would just work. However this is not possible for NetBeans Modules; when I look at the Utilities API module dependency it does not look like a normal NB library and there is nowhere to add in the source code. I suspect that if I were to rebuild my project using Maven this would work automatically. But thats a terrible reason to switch to maven. How can I get the NB Platform Source code included into my Module Dependencies ?

    I'm building a very simple ASP.NET MVC site that doesn't require a database and doesn't have user accounts or any other special ASP.NET stuff. When I first created the site with the ASP.NET MVC 1.0 site template in Visual Studio, the web.config page was configured to automatically connect to SQL Server Express as a User Instance. Can I completely remove this dependency? If so, how do I get rid of all this database stuff?
