  Hello, I had inserted two jQuery tabs on my site. One div container had the id - tabs and another had the id tabs-for-views. Both of them were working fine till sometime ago, until i made some changes. I don't remember what the exact changes were.. Right now, the first tab uses the jQuery UI theme I am using. As in, I can see the tab navigation and content panels - but on clicking the tabs nothing happens. But the second (tabs-for-views) is not even converted to proper tabs format. • opening iWorks documents in iPad UIWebView

  Hello, I'm writing an iPad application that has a UIWebView which I open word and excel documents in, but I want the user to be able to import those documents into the iWorks applications, Pages and Numbers, just like how you can do it in Safari if you open a document. If you open a document in Safari on the iPad, there'll be a button on the top bar that says "Open in..." and you can choose applications to open in. You get the top bar to appear by tapping on middle of the page. So is there an option you can set to allow UIWebView to show up the bar and automatically detect the content type and populate the list with applications you can import in? Or do I have to build this myself? And if I have to build my own, how do I open URLs to import documents into Pages and Numbers etc? Thanks, -David

  I have a form with several text boxes on it. I only want to accept floats, but it is likely that users will enter a dollar sign. Is it possible to have the jQuery run first or to force the validation to run again after the jQuery executes?

• Drupal - Views + node preview woes

  Hey there! I have a few Views on my Drupal 6 site which take care of some of a node's fields. For example, I have a content type called Country, which has a field called Capital. I've excluded this field in the node display, but there is a view that takes the node ID as an argument and displays it in the right column. This is all very pretty and has been working out well for me, but how do I take care of the node preview mode? Since the node isn't saved yet, the Capital field won't have its new value yet. Note: I am ready to do some very dirty hacks to make this work :)

• Drupal CCK Text field not saving.

  Hey Guys, I've been trying to write a CCK Field based on the Text field. But if I create a standard CCK Text field with only 1 value. Then edit a content item for this type, the values are never persisted. When I go back in and edit the same node, the value isn't there. I checked the database and its not in the table for the CCK node. If I use more than one value it works fine. I'm upto date on CCK (6.x-2.6) and CTools (6.x-1.5). Has anyone seen this? and a possible solution?

• How do I submit really big amounts of data to a form?

  I have an HTML from that's posting a really big amount of data which is eventually being saved into an SQL Server 2005, the form is as follows: <form name="frmForm" method="post" action="saveData.aspx"> the target page takes the content of a control within the form and saves it to the database through a normal SQL insert statement. However only a portion of the data is being saved. The field in the database is an ntext. Should I use a different field? Or is something happening while I'm transferring from one page to another? Or even still there's something happening when I'm sending the really big SQL statement through c# in saveData.aspx?

• Creating a view linking three different node types with two node references

  I have the following content types: Camp - the top level type Registration Information - contains node reference to Camp called Camp Medical Release Form - contains node reference to registration information called Camper I would like to create a View that takes the nid for the Camp, and pulls out all the fields for the Registration Info and Medical Release Form. I'm having trouble figuring out how to set up the various arguments/relationships. I haven't done something that's referenced more than two types. I know it would be smart/best to just combine the Registration Info and Medical Release Form, since it's a 1:1 mapping, but we can't. So... any help would be appreciated!

• BlackBerry responseXML is null

  I'm trying to port a portion of AJAX code I wrote over to the BlackBerry application's embedded browser. Our base build is 4.6.1 and the RIM documentation claims that XMLHttpRequest's responseXML is available starting with this version. And when I request an XML file from my local server, I get back the responseText (so I know the request is working), but the responseXML is always null. I've made sure the HTTP "Content-Type" header is set to "text/xml" and I am getting the correct data loaded in a web browser. It's just nulling out in the BB web environment. Does anyone know what might be happening? A backup of using the responseText and piping it through DOMParser is not possible because that object was not added to the BB browser until 4.7.1. So I'm not sure what fallback I have.

  I'm working at a web application in Python/Twisted. I want the user to be able to download a very big file ( 100 Mb). I don't want to load all the file in memory (of the server), of course. server side I have this idea: ... request.setHeader('Content-Type', 'text/plain') fp = open(fileName, 'rb') try: r = None while r != '': r = fp.read(1024) request.write(r) finally: fp.close() request.finish() I expected this to work, but I have problems: I'm testing with FF... It seems the browser make me wait until the file is completed downloaded, and then I have the open/save dialog box. I expected the dialog box immediately, and then the progress bar in action... Maybe I have to add something in the Http header... Something like the size of the file?

  Hi Guys This is really getting to me now.I have a form that loads when the page loads.In my jquery 'ready' function I append a hidden to that form like so : $("<input id='thehidden' type='hidden' name='thehidden' value='hiddenval'>").appendTo("#MenuForm") When I check the form content with firebug i can see the element is added. ["$(\"#MenuForm\").children()"] is [div, input#thehidden hiddenval] All good so far.When I submit this form and try and read the elemet again,i can't get the value of the new hidden val I added. alert($('#thehidden').val()) is undefined Any help would be appreciated

  as a user requirement I have to disable the backspace button from navigating back in the history. I cannot bind the input types as exceptions because the content editor in sharepoint allows to modify the text in div or paragraph elements etc. The solution is not working in IE8 because the event.target returns the element that is on mouseover when there's no controls that has the focus. • php $_POST array empty upon form submission...

  Hi folks, I'm baffled on this after much googling. This issue is simple, I have a custom CMS i've built that works perfectly on my dev box (Ubuntu/PHP5+/MySQL5+). I just moved it up to the production box for my client and now all form submissions are showing up as empty $_POST arrays. I found a trick to verify the data is actually being passed using "file_get_contents('php://input');" and the data is showing up fine there -- the $_POST/$_REQUEST arrays are always empty. I've also verified the content-type headers are correct as well via firebug (application/x-www-form-urlencoded; charset=utf-8). This issue is happening regardless of whether a form is submitting via AJAX or a regular form submit. Any help is greatly appreciated!

In IE if a contenteditable element is nested inside a hyperlink, clicking on the element prevents the hyperlink default behavior, i.e. navigation to another document. In FF it works fine. How can I solve the problem? Just removing the contentEditable attribute is not a solution since I want this behavior (navigation to another document) only when user clicks the content-editable element with pressed Ctrl key.   Our company would like to redirect all calls to html files on our server to a separate page. The html pages are NOT in an asp.net application. In order to do this, I've been writing and IIS Handler in asp.net. 1) Is this possible to add an IIS handler to redirect static content that isn't served by any asp.net engine, i.e. stand alone files on the server? 2) If it is possible, how do I do this? I created an http handler in a class library. In the app.config I added the handler to the and sections. I added the DLL to the GAC, I changed the html mapping to my custom IIS dll and nothing works. Is there a tutorial or explanation from A to B on how to do this? Thanks. E p.s. I'm using IIS 7.5

  IE displays a default scrollbar on the page, which appears even if the content is too short to require a scrollbar. The typical way to remove this scrollbar (if not needed), is to add this to your css: HTML { height: 100%; overflow: auto; } I'm trying to do the same thing in javascript (without requiring that in my CSS), but i can't seem to find a way to get access to the html element. I know i can access the body element with document.body, but that doesn't seem to be sufficient, i need the wrapping html element. Any tips?

  I want to create a view with 2 tables side by side, where selecting the row on 1 table effects the content of the other and vice versa (not parent child). My problem is how to send the request. I started with a utility app using core data, and added 2 table view controllers. I added these to the main view nib and moved the tables to the view. One table controls a list from Core Data, then on selecting a row I want it to move to the other table which is based on a mutable array. On didselectrow I want to tell the other table to update, however I can only find samples that are parent/child so involves initializing. Does anyone know of a way to do this for an active view?   I have a jpg image in my app that shows correctly. In my listview i'd like to make the image more transparent so it is easier to see the text. • Jquery Resizable Image size issue

  Image size is not automatically detected when using jquery resizable. Both Firefox and IE displays the image much smaller, and chrome show nothing at all. I can't seem to find a direct answer to this issue.   Under gcc (g++), I have compiled a static .a (call it some_static_lib.a) library. I want to link (is that the right phrase?) this .a file into another dynamic library (call it libsomeDyn.so) that I'm building.   I am testing my noscript tags which display content when javascript is disabled, this works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Camino, IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9, basically everything but Opera (I'm running version 11, not sure if its isolated to that version). In Opera 11 nothing is displayed... is the noscript tag not supported? and what is the alternative?
