  • Rsync: remote source and destination

    - by goncalopp
If both source and destination are remote, rsync complains: The source and destination cannot both be remote. rsync error: syntax or usage error (code 1) at main.c(1156) [Receiver=3.0.7] Is there a insurmountable technical obstacle to making rsync do this? Or it's simply a case of it's-not-yet-implemented? It seems relatively easy to create a local buffer in memory that mediates the transfer between two remotes, holding both hashes and data. Conversely, is there other (unix) software that implements this functionality?

  • jQuery validation plugin doesn't work for me

  • Eclipse Problems View doesn't show Errors

    - by Jack
[Note: There is another thread about this problem but it did not answer the question.] For one specific project in Eclipse, the problems view does not show errors. It shows warnings but it does not show errors. The other projects do show errors (and everything else). For that problematic project, I can see the red squiggly error line in the files. However, the directory structure does not show an error icon and the error is not populated in the Problems View. Any ideas?

  • Using a table-alias in Kohana queries?

    - by Aristotle
I'm trying to run a simple query with $this->db in Kohana, but am running into some syntax issues when I try to use an alias for a table within my query: $result = $this->db ->select("ci.chapter_id, ci.book_id, ci.chapter_heading, ci.chapter_number") ->from("chapter_info ci") ->where(array("ci.chapter_number" => $chapter, "ci.book_id" => $book)) ->get(); It seems to me that this should work just fine. I'm stating that "chapter_info" ought to be known as "ci," yet this isn't taking for some reason. The error is pretty straight-forward: There was an SQL error: Table 'gb_data.chapter_info ci' doesn't exist - SELECT `ci`.`chapter_id`, `ci`.`book_id`, `ci`.`chapter_heading`, `ci`.`chapter_number` FROM (`chapter_info ci`) WHERE `ci`.`chapter_number` = 1 AND `ci`.`book_id` = 1 If I use the full table name, rather than an alias, I get the expected results without error. This requires me to write much more verbose queries, which isn't ideal. Is there some way to use shorter names for tables within Kohana's query-builder?

  • Unable to start sql service when TCP/IP is enabled under SSCM - SS Network Configuration

    - by ebel
I get error 10048. and this in event history: The SQL server service terminated with server-specific error. Only one usage of each socket (protcol/network address/port) is normall permitted. Any idea howto fix this ? Port set is the default 1433... If this is turned off, which is default of course, SQL service starts like a champ. I have done this config many times on other servers with no problem.

  • Function Pointer from base class

    - by camelord
Hi there, i need a Function Pointer from a base class. Here is the code: class CActionObjectBase { ... void AddResultStateErrorMessage( const char* pcMessage , ULONG iResultStateCode); ... } CActionObjectCalibration( ): CActionObjectBase() { ... m_Calibration = new CCalibration(&CActionObjectBase::AddResultStateErrorMessage); } class CCalibration { ... CCalibration(void (CActionObjectBase::* AddErrorMessage)(const char*, ULONG )); ... void (CActionObjectBase::* m_AddErrorMessage)(const char*, ULONG ); } Inside CCalibration in a Function occurs the Error. I try to call the Function Pointer like this: if(m_AddErrorMessage) { ... m_AddErrorMessage("bla bla", RSC_FILE_ERROR); } The Problem is, that I cannot compile. The Error Message says something like: error C2064: Expression is no Function, that takes two Arguments. What is wrong? regards camelord

  • Make errors when compiling HPL-2.1 on MOSIX-clustered Debian server

I'm trying to compile HPL 2.1 on a MOSIX-clustered Debian server, but the make process terminates with errors as seen below. • Ios Parse Login

    - by user3806600
    I am programming an IOS app that will use parse to login a user. Using storyboard I have the login button connected to another view controller with the push segue. Whether the username and password are correct the button selection always goes to the new view controller. I might be doing this all wrong. Any help is appreciated. Here is my code: - (IBAction)signIn:(id)sender { [PFUser logInWithUsernameInBackground:self.emailField.text password:self.passwordField.text block:^(PFUser *user, NSError *error) { if (!error) { [self performSegueWithIdentifier:@"signIn" sender:nil]; } else { // The login failed. Check error to see why. } }]; }

  • msvsmon is locking up my pdbs

    - by Sam Saffron
During developement of my media center plugin (which has a few custom build steps to gac stuff and such) msvsmon has a rather annoying behaviour. First compilation usually goes well, but subsequent compilations complain about myplugin.pdb being locked Error 1 Unexpected error creating debug information file 'C:\Users\sam\source\myfile.PDB' -- 'C:\Users\sam\source\obj\Debug\myfile.pdb: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. If I exit VS and nuke the object directory, I am able to compile again. Also, if I kill off msvsmon.exe I am able to compile again (but can not debug) Has anyone seen this error? Are there any workarounds? I already disabled live semantic errors, just in case.

  • ruby on rails gitorious setup on ubuntu

    - by dogmatic69
Ive been trying to install gitorious for a while now which required ruby and rails etc. Ive finally got rails pages serving but cant finish the installation of gitorious because the gem version is too new. the error logs say please run 'rake ultrasphinx:configure' and that gives rake ultrasphinx:configure (in /var/www/apps/gitorious) rake aborted! uninitialized constant ActiveSupport::Dependencies::Mutex /var/www/apps/gitorious/Rakefile:10:in `require' (See full trace by running task with --trace) From searching google this is beacuse of the wrong gem verison. Cant find a way to down grade it. apparently sudo gem update --system 1.4.2 should do the trick but ubuntu 10.10 does not like this. ERROR: While executing gem ... (RuntimeError) gem update --system is disabled on Debian, because it will overwrite the content of the rubygems Debian package, and might break your Debian system in subtle ways. The Debian-supported way to update rubygems is through apt-get, using Debian official repositories. If you really know what you are doing, you can still update rubygems by setting the REALLY_GEM_UPDATE_SYSTEM environment variable, but please remember that this is completely unsupported by Debian. So i added export REALLY_GEM_UPDATE_SYSTEM=1 to .bashrc and reloaded it with . ~/.bashrc and still the same. ive tried various forms of setting this environmental variable with no luck. Ive also been told on #gitorious irc channel to add the file config/initializers/rubygems.rb with the line require "thread" to it. This has done nothing. EDIT: Just found another way which was rvm install rubygems 1.4.2 and it gave: Removing old Rubygems files... Installing rubygems dedicated to ruby-1.8.7-p334... • logrotate isn't rotating a particular log file (and i think it should be)

    - by Max Williams
Hi all. For a particular app, i have log files in two places. One of the places has just one log file that i want to use with logrotate, for the other location i want to use logrotate on all log files in that folder. I've set up an entry called millionaire-staging in /etc/logrotate.d and have been testing it by calling logrotate -f millionaire-staging. Here's my entry: #/etc/logrotate.d/millionaire-staging compress rotate 1000 dateext missingok sharedscripts copytruncate /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/log/staging.log { weekly } /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/*log { size 40M } So, for the first folder, i want to rotate weekly (this seems to have worked fine). For the other, i want to rotate only when the log files get bigger than 40 meg. When i look in that folder (using the same locator as in the logrotate config), i can see a file in there that's 54M and which hasn't been rotated: $ ls -lh /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/*log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 33M 2010-12-29 15:00 /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/test.millionaire.charanga.com.access-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 54M 2010-09-10 16:57 /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/test.millionaire.charanga.com.debug-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 53K 2010-12-14 15:48 /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/test.millionaire.charanga.com.error-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 3.8M 2010-12-29 14:30 /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/test.millionaire.charanga.com.ssl.access-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 16K 2010-12-17 15:00 /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/test.millionaire.charanga.com.ssl.error-log -rw-r--r-- 1 deploy deploy 0 2010-12-29 14:49 /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/unicorn.stderr.log -rw-r--r-- 1 deploy deploy 0 2010-12-29 14:49 /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/unicorn.stdout.log Some of the other log files in that folder have been rotated though: $ ls -lh /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log total 91M -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 33M 2010-12-29 15:05 test.millionaire.charanga.com.access-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 54M 2010-09-10 16:57 test.millionaire.charanga.com.debug-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 53K 2010-12-14 15:48 test.millionaire.charanga.com.error-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 3.8M 2010-12-29 14:30 test.millionaire.charanga.com.ssl.access-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 16K 2010-12-17 15:00 test.millionaire.charanga.com.ssl.error-log -rw-r--r-- 1 deploy deploy 0 2010-12-29 14:49 unicorn.stderr.log -rw-r--r-- 1 deploy deploy 41K 2010-12-29 11:03 unicorn.stderr.log-20101229.gz -rw-r--r-- 1 deploy deploy 0 2010-12-29 14:49 unicorn.stdout.log -rw-r--r-- 1 deploy deploy 1.1K 2010-10-15 11:05 unicorn.stdout.log-20101229.gz I think what might have happened is that i first ran this config with a pattern matching *.log, and that means it only rotated the two files that ended in .log (as opposed to -log). Then, when i changed the config and ran it again, it won't do any more since it think's its already had its weekly run, or something. Can anyone see what i'm doing wrong? Is it to do with those top folders being owned by root rather than deploy do you think? thanks, max

  • CakePHP in a subdirectory using nginx (Rewrite rules?)

    - by lhnz
    I managed to get this to work a while back, but on returning to the cakephp project I had started it seems that whatever changes I've made to nginx recently (or perhaps a recent update) have broken my rewrite rules. Currently I have: worker_processes 1; events { worker_connections 1024; } http { include mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; sendfile on; keepalive_timeout 65; server { listen 80; server_name localhost; location / { root html; index index.php index.html index.htm; } location /basic_cake/ { index index.php; if (-f $request_filename) { break; } if (!-f $request_filename) { rewrite ^/basic_cake/(.+)$ /basic_cake/index.php?url=$1 last; break; } } location /cake_test/ { index index.php; if (-f $request_filename) { break; } if (!-f $request_filename) { rewrite ^/cake_test/(.+)$ /cake_test/index.php?url=$1 last; break; } } # redirect server error pages to the static page /50x.html # error_page 500 502 503 504 /50x.html; location = /50x.html { root html; } # pass the PHP scripts to FastCGI server listening on 127.0.0.1:9000 # location ~ \.php$ { root html; fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000; fastcgi_index index.php; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; } } server { listen 8081; server_name localhost; root /srv/http/html/xsp; location / { index index.html index.htm index.aspx default.aspx; } location ~ \.(aspx|asmx|ashx|asax|ascx|soap|rem|axd|cs|config|dll)$ { fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9001; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; } } } The problem that I have is that the css and images will not load from the webroot. Instead if I visit http://localhost/basic_cake/css/cake.generic.css, I get a page which tells me: CakePHP: the rapid development php framework Missing Controller Error: CssController could not be found. When i look in that folder (using the same locator as in the logrotate config), i can see a file in there that's 54M and which hasn't been rotated: $ ls -lh /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/*log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 33M 2010-12-29 15:00 /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/test.millionaire.charanga.com.access-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 54M 2010-09-10 16:57 /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/test.millionaire.charanga.com.debug-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 53K 2010-12-14 15:48 /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/test.millionaire.charanga.com.error-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 3.8M 2010-12-29 14:30 /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/test.millionaire.charanga.com.ssl.access-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 16K 2010-12-17 15:00 /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/test.millionaire.charanga.com.ssl.error-log -rw-r--r-- 1 deploy deploy 0 2010-12-29 14:49 /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/unicorn.stderr.log -rw-r--r-- 1 deploy deploy 0 2010-12-29 14:49 /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log/unicorn.stdout.log Some of the other log files in that folder have been rotated though: $ ls -lh /var/www/apps/test.millionaire/shared/log total 91M -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 33M 2010-12-29 15:05 test.millionaire.charanga.com.access-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 54M 2010-09-10 16:57 test.millionaire.charanga.com.debug-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 53K 2010-12-14 15:48 test.millionaire.charanga.com.error-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 3.8M 2010-12-29 14:30 test.millionaire.charanga.com.ssl.access-log -rw-r--r-- 1 www-data root 16K 2010-12-17 15:00 test.millionaire.charanga.com.ssl.error-log -rw-r--r-- 1 deploy deploy 0 2010-12-29 14:49 unicorn.stderr.log -rw-r--r-- 1 deploy deploy 41K 2010-12-29 11:03 unicorn.stderr.log-20101229.gz -rw-r--r-- 1 deploy deploy 0 2010-12-29 14:49 unicorn.stdout.log -rw-r--r-- 1 deploy deploy 1.1K 2010-10-15 11:05 unicorn.stdout.log-20101229.gz I think what might have happened is that i first ran this config with a pattern matching *.log, and that means it only rotated the two files that ended in .log (as opposed to -log). Then, when i changed the config and ran it again, it won't do any more since it think's its already had its weekly run, or something. Can anyone see what i'm doing wrong? Is it to do with those top folders being owned by root rather than deploy do you think? thanks, max

  • Adding SSI support causes mod_dir "trailing slash" redirect to stop working

    - by freethinker
I have enabled SSI using the following directives in .htaccess AddHandler server-parsed .html AddOutputFilter INCLUDES html However when I add these, the trailing slash redirects stop working. For eg. http://testwp.humbug.in/test/index.html works fine but http://testwp.humbug.in/test/ doesn't work. In chrome it gives a "Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE)" error while in firefox it shows a blank page. What additional configuration do I need for both mod_dir and mod_include to work properly?

  • SQL Injection on INSERT

    - by freddy
Hi, I'm currently testing Vulnerabiltys to SQL Injections for my companys application as an it-trainee. So I found, that the application is indeed vulnerable to injections because I can alter some of the insert statements. So I altered the insert Statement to this: INSERT INTO tablename( column, column1, column2, column3, column4,column5, column6, column7, column8 ) VALUES ( 10965972, 185796154, 25, 23,2023, '', CURRENT_DATE, 'v0201100', 18); DELETE * FROM tablename;-- , 2023,'a', CURRENT_DATE, 'v0201100', 18 ) I thought this should be a correct statement, but the MySQL Server returned this Error: MySQL Error: 1064 (You have an error in your SQL syntax;[...] Would be nice if somebody could help and tell my why the syntax is wrong... Thanks for your help :-)

  • valid json still fails on IE with jquery's ajax or getJSON callbacks

    - by lock
everytime my page loads, im supposed to create a datatable (also a jquery plugin) but when im fetching the contents, using .ajax or .getJSON always goes straight ahead to the error function, without even telling me what went wrong inside the callback $.ajax({ cache: false, type: "POST", url: oSettings.sAjaxSource, data: {'newdate' : date}, contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(json) { console.log('retrieving json data'); }, error: function() { console.log("An error has occurred. Please try again."); } }); that's the actual code with the callback stripped for security purposes... this works fine in firefox which actually executes what's on the callback function but IE simply fails and proceeds to writing my log i've read alot that the primary reason the JSON calls fails for IE is whenever there are trailing commas or simply malformed JS but i used JSONLint already and verified that my json object is a valid one :(

  • Rmagick Fails To Manipulate PNG

    - by Tyler DeWitt
Following the Railscast episode on CarrierWave: I installed ImageMagick on Mountain Lion via homebrew, exported the following path: export PKG_CONFIG_PATH="/opt/local/lib/pkgconfig:$PKG_CONFIG_PATH" Symlinked the following: ln -s /usr/local/include/ImageMagick/wand /usr/local/include/wand ln -s /usr/local/include/ImageMagick/magick /usr/local/include/magick And installed rmagick via bundler. In my uploader I have the following: include CarrierWave::RMagick version :thumb do process :resize_to_limit => [85, 85] end Which creates thumbnails just fine, but not for png files. I've tried a handful of png images and it always fails with this error: Failed to manipulate with rmagick, maybe it is not an image? Original Error: no decode delegate for this image format `<path>/public/uploads/tmp/20121022-2133-9885-3333/thumb_cat_vs_internet.png' @ error/constitute.c/ReadImage/544 jpeg images work just fine. EDIT identify -list format | grep -i png returns nothing, indicating the png decode delegate is probably missing. Now what?

  • Scala match question

    - by javier
    Hello to everyone. I came across with an error on my Scala code that I cannot solve by myself (I am new at Scala). I have the following code: def myFunction(list: List[Any]): String = { var strItems : String = ""; list.foreach(item => { strItems += item match { case x:JsonSerializable => x.toJson() case y:String => ("\"" + y + "\"") case _ => item.toString } if(item != list.last) strItems += ","; }) strItems; } The error I am getting is: error: pattern type is incompatible with expected type; found : String required: Unit case y:String = ("\"" + y + "\"") Any idea why? PS: is there a more performant way to code myFunction

  • WCF extensions without including the assembly version

    - by Marc Gravell
As discussed here, I'm trying to add a WCF endpoint-extension; I've got it working, but I need to include the full assembly details: <extensions> <behaviorExtensions> <add name="protobuf" type="ProtoBuf.ServiceModel.ProtoBehaviorExtension, protobuf-net, Version=1.0.0.275, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=257b51d87d2e4d67"/> </behaviorExtensions> </extensions> What I would like to do (to avoid issues when updating etc, especially for samples) is to include just the names: <add name="protobuf" type="ProtoBuf.ServiceModel.ProtoBehaviorExtension, protobuf-net"/> (which is what you might expect from standard assembly-naming conventions) However, if I do this, I get a big error: Parser Error Message: An error occurred creating the configuration section handler for system.serviceModel/behaviors: Extension element 'protobuf' cannot be added to this element. Verify that the extension is registered in the extension collection at system.serviceModel/extensions/behaviorExtensions. Is it possible (and if so: how) to add an extension without having to specify the assembly-version?

  • MySQL: updating a row and deleting the original in case it becomes a duplicate

    - by Silvio Donnini
I have a simple table made up of two columns: col_A and col_B. The primary key is defined over both. I need to update some rows and assign to col_A values that may generate duplicates, for example: UPDATE `table` SET `col_A` = 66 WHERE `col_B` = 70 This statement sometimes yields a duplicate key error. I don't want to simply ignore the error with UPDATE IGNORE, because then the rows that generate the error would remain unchanged. Instead, I want them to be deleted when they would conflict with another row after they have been updated I'd like to write something like: UPDATE `table` SET `col_A` = 66 WHERE `col_B` = 70 ON DUPLICATE KEY REPLACE which unfortunately isn't legal in SQL, so I need help finding another way around. Also, I'm using PHP and could consider a hybrid solution (i.e. part query part php code), but keep in mind that I have to perform this updating operation many millions of times. thanks for your attention, Silvio Reminder: UPDATE's syntax has problems with joins with the same table that is being updated

  • How to add GD to a PHP 5.3 CentOS installation from a different repo?

    - by Mauro
I installed PHP 5.3 on a CentOS 5.3 using yum and repos from Webtatic (http://www.webtatic.com/packages/php53/) and now I'd like to add the GD library to that installation but Webtatic seems to be offline. Now: # yum install php-gd Fails of course (not the same PHP version) into: *Error: Missing Dependency: php-common = 5.1.6-27.el5_5.3 is needed by package php-gd-5.1.6-27.el5_5.3.x86_64* And: # yum install php53-gd Fails into Error: php53-common conflicts with php-common How can I add the GD libraries now?

  • Self-type mismatch in Scala

    - by Alexey Romanov
Given this: abstract class ViewPresenterPair { type V <: View type P <: Presenter trait View {self: V => val presenter: P } trait Presenter {self: P => var view: V } } I am trying to define an implementation in this way: case class SensorViewPresenter[T] extends ViewPresenterPair { type V = SensorView[T] type P = SensorPresenter[T] trait SensorView[T] extends View { } class SensorViewImpl[T](val presenter: P) extends SensorView[T] { presenter.view = this } class SensorPresenter[T] extends Presenter { var view: V } } Which gives me the following errors: error: illegal inheritance; self-type SensorViewPresenter.this.SensorView[T] does not conform to SensorViewPresenter.this.View's selftype SensorViewPresenter.this.V trait SensorView[T] extends View { ^ <console>:13: error: type mismatch; found : SensorViewPresenter.this.SensorViewImpl[T] required: SensorViewPresenter.this.V presenter.view = this ^ <console>:16: error: illegal inheritance; self-type SensorViewPresenter.this.SensorPresenter[T] does not conform to SensorViewPresenter.this.Presenter's selftype SensorViewPresenter.this.P class SensorPresenter[T] extends Presenter { ^ I don't understand why. After all, V is just an alias for SensorView[T], and the paths are the same, so how can it not conform?
