  • Spring MVC Project's .war file not able to deploy using JRE in jetty server

    IDE: STS(Eclipse) Server: Jetty-distribution-8.1.15.v20140411 I have created a SpringsMVC Project using Template available in STS tool(New-Springs Project- Springs MVC Project). I generated a war file(SpringsMVC.war) and placed it in /webapps folder of Jetty server. Now I started Jetty using JRE's 'java' , D:\jetty-distribution-8.1.15.v20140411"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\java" -jar start.jar Now when I tried to access my application in browser, it shows the below error; HTTP ERROR 500 Problem accessing /SpringMVCProject1/.   • Accessing Spring beans from a Tiles view (JSP)

    In Spring MVC I can access my beans in JSP using JstlView's exposedContextBeanNames (or exposeContextBeansAsAttributes). For example, then, in my JSP I can write (${properties.myProperty). But when the same JSP is a part of a tiles view, these properties aren't accessible. Is possible to configure Tiles properly or access these properties in another way? I'm using Spring MVC 3.0.2 and Tiles 2.2.1.     Hi, I'm developing a windows application, that talks to SharePoint via its built in web services, and i want to get all content types available on a SharePoint site, I'm trying to use Web.Webs WebsService = new Web.Webs(); WebsService.Credentials=credentials; WebsService.Url="url of the web service"; XmlNode listOfContentTypes = WebsService.GetContentTypes(); If credentials have administrator privileges i can get the list of all the content types available, But if credentials don't have administrator privileges a 401 exception is thrown (not enought permission). My question is: How can i get all content types available on a SharePoint site if i don't have administrator priviliges?

  • SharePoint 2010 / ASP.Net Integration - Looking for advice

    I have been Googling a problem that I have with trying to integrate the web application that I am working on with SharePoint 2010. The web application is a wiki style tool that allows users to log in via forms authentication or WIA against Active Directory and create content for themselves and others. What we would like to do is to allow a user have a page with the content they have created in our web application mixed in with content that they have living on the SharePoint server. For example, they may want to see a list of documents that they have on the SharePoint server mixed in with some of their content. To accomplish this, we would like to take the credentials the user has logged into our web application with (for example MYDOMAIN\jsmith) and be able to query SharePoint for the documents of that same user (MYDOMAIN\jsmith) WITHOUT the user being prompted to re-enter their credentials to access the SharePoint server (we are trying to avoid the double-hop problem) We have come up with some options for how we want to do this, but we are unsure of what the best approach is. For example, we could - Have a global user, shared by all users to get information we need from SharePoint. The downside is that we cannot filter SharePoint content to a particular user - We could store the users credentials when they log in, but that would only work for users authenticating via forms auth and would be a security issue that some users/clients would not like - Writing a SharePoint extension using WCF to allow us to access the information we need, however we'd still have the issue of figuring out how to impersonate the user we want. Neither of these options are ideal and in our investigation we came across the Claims Authentication/STS option which seems like it is trying to solve the problem we are having. So my question is, based on what I have written, is Claims/STS the best approach for us? We have not been able to find much direction on how to use this method to call into SharePoint from a Web Application and pass along the existing credentials. Does anyone have any experience with any of these issues?

  • Apache returns the perl script source instead of execute the script when the request comes from chrome

    I've just finish to install awstats on my web server, and it runs fine using firefox. But when I try to open the awstats page with chrome, the perl source script is downloaded (instead of being executed). it seems the MIME requested by Chrome gave a different behavior compared to Chrome. Any idea ? So I tried to add it under section but it gave me error that it is an invalid child Likewise, I tried adding it under section, it too gave the same error... So, I added sepeartely, Then I am not able to see anything.. The webpage is just blank... What should I have to do.. Can anyone tell me "how to solve it"

    I've been looking at using a WebView to display an HTML5 webpage, where the novel features of the mobile device (GPS, compass, accelerometer, camera, etc) can be fed back into the web page. I was wondering if there were any good tutorials showing these functions interacting with the webview. So far I've found ways for the WebView to send javascript commands to the web page, but those interactions haven't been triggered from outside the web view (such as upon receiving an intent from the GPS or accelerometer). Note: The HTML5 Geolocation API is not what I'm interested in.     Hello, I have C++ project that compiles as DLL Assembly in .NET 3.5 SP1 Project is used for Image rendering processing by using WPF (it loads 2 images from local folder, applies one image on another and saves the output file in the same folder). I want to use that that project as a reference in ASP.NET project to the rendering on the website. So I created simple Web Project in ASP.NET C# that uses C++ project as a Reference. Everything works great in ASP.NET Web Development Server (built-in Web server in VS2008). But once I publish this project to IIS on the same Machine or use IIS for debug instead of built-in Web server Image rendering it's not working anymore. I'm not getting any exceptions or error messages, it just output image is not processes as it supposed to be. If anyone know what could cause that I would really appreciate your insight!

  • Why is there no music streaming API service?

    Apple has decided to kill lala.com. I loved that site. Now, everyone has to go back to paying $0.89+ for songs from Amazon, iTunes, etc. Lame. Rhapsody would be great, except there are no clients for Mac or Linux. They do have a web interface, buy it is nothing compared to lala's web 2.0y interface. What I just don't understand is, why is there no music API streaming service out there? Basically, developers could hook the service into any desktop or web app, and then users of the app could pay $x a month (like with Rhapsody) and play any amount of music, so long as their subscription is active. Why not? Lala streamed music to web browsers, so surely it could be as secure as lala is (was), preventing music theft.

    Recently there is a lot of projects that pushes Javascript into other directions: as a general purpose scripting language (GLUEScript, Rhino), as an extension language (QTScript, Adobe Reader, OO Macros), Widgets (Yahoo Widgets, MS Gadgets, Dashboard), and even server-side JS & web frameworks (CommonJS, Helma, Phobos, V8cgi), which seems obvious since it is already a language widely used for web development. But wait, everything is so new and nothing is really mature. However JS is around for almost 15 years, being as powerfull as any other scripting languages, being standardised by the ECMA, and being a mandatory technology for web development. Why did it take so much time to gain acceptance into other domains than web browsers?

    Today I found out that the job which would have been a promotion for me went to an outside candidate. The position is for a systems admin on our LAN team. I have been working on the helpdesk here for almost two years with another two years experience working it prior. While we are the first tier support we also work in AD, monitor and update certain servers and set up and deploy Windows/Mac images for those we support. What I am looking for here is what can I do to better myself to inside/outside places to move up this ladder? I take what I can from my job - working on projects that I can learn from - but what projects should I be volunteering for? What can I do for myself outside to make me a more viable candidate for a systems admin?

  • Webservice won't accept JSON requests

    Hi, The main issue is that I cannot run a webservice that accepts requests in JSON format. I keep getting a 500 Server error stating that the "request format is invalid." My ASP.NET AJAX extensions are installed. My server is running Plesk Control Panel 8.6 which is undoubtedly causing these problems. The default handler for this specified extension is shown in the web.config like so: For my applications webservice to handle JSON it needs to have this reference: <add name="ScriptHandlerFactory" verb="*" path="*.asmx" preCondition="integratedMode" type="System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/> Plesk is not allowing the request to be handled properly. I need to know the correct http directive(s) to put into the web.config to properly handle JSON webservices. I tried posting to the Plesk forum two days ago but no response yet. Any insight would be great =)

But how do I set the username and password to something different from the web.config?   • Reading a .dat file as "rb" read binary

    I have a web-accessible php script that accesses a folder above the webroot (not web accessible) called \folder\. This is done via setting the path to \folder\ in .htaccess the usual way so that \folder\ becomes part of the project. \folder\ contains a .php script (communicates with the web-accessible script inside the webroot) some .inc files (used by the .php in the same folder, above the webroot) a dat file (used by the .inc in the same folder, above the webroot) All files are accessible to each other as needed: the web-accessible php inside the webroot can communicate with the php above the webroot the php above the webroot can communicate with the inc in the same folder But the inc above the webroot can't communicate with the dat in the same folder, and I have no idea why that's the case The inc myinc.inc is supposed to open the dat mydat.dat in the same folder like this fopen('mydat.dat', "rb"); but I get an error that no file called mydat.dat exists inside \folder\myinc.inc. Of course it does not, the .dat is sibling to .inc and is not supposed to be inside it. Why is php expecting to find the .dat file inside the .inc. The stranger thing is that if I move the .dat in the web-accessible folder, it becomes readable now. Any ideas why php is trying to find the .dat inside the .inc?

  • SharePoint Virtual Directories Sitemap

    I have created and asp.net web site utilizing a web.sitemap file to help with navigation. The site needs to be deployed within a virtual directory inside of our SharePoint intranet site. The problem that I am running in to is that when I request the SiteMap.CurrentNode property, it is returning information from SharePoint's sitemap. Specifically, when i try to get my sitemap's title or description, I am getting information from SharePoint. I have tried re-naming my sitemap and declaring a new Sitemap provider within the web.config. After creating the new sitemap provider and requesting the SiteMap.currentNode, I receive an error message saying that it can't find the web.sitemap file. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
