  Created One Trigger in Oracle.. SQL> CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER student_after_insert 2 AFTER INSERT 3 ON student 4 FOR EACH ROW 5 BEGIN 6 @hello.pl 9 END student_after_insert; 10 / Contents of hello.pl are:- BEGIN DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('hello world'); END; And.. the result is pretty good, as the content of hello.pl is displayed on screen while inserting a record.. Now, the query is -- When i change the content of the hello.pl file, after exiting from oracle, and then logging again, It doesn't shows the updated contents, instead it shows the previous content.. I noticed that, if i drop the trigger and create it again, then it is working fine.. Why is it happening so.. And what is the solution to this problem..

  I have a has_many and belongs_to association. class Link < ActiveRecord::Base has_and_belongs_to_many :categories belongs_to :property end class Property < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :links end In the index and show I have <%= link.property.name %> and it will show the Property that I assigned to the link with the console just fine. I have a problem with figuring out how to show check boxes in the _form that assign a property to the link (a drop down would work as well). It seems everyone who has had this question before has ether a has_many :through or a HABTM relationship and I can't seem to adapt their answers.

• how to configure IP cam to stream using right network card?

  I have IP cam that supports RTSP streaming. It's connected to router with 2 network cards with IP1 and IP2 addresses. I make 2 connections to IP cam by IP1 and IP2 addresses from the same IP and I need to receive corresponding streams thru correct network card, but both streams (RTP over UDP) go thru IP1. How this can be resolved? I don't know if RTSP server binds UDP sockets to corresponding IP and I don't know what IP stack is in IP cam (weak end system or strong end system). I haven't found anything interesting in router configuration. As I understand, routing table cannot help me cos I'm connected from the same IP, is it right?   Hi I have defined some records in my project which may be consisted of other records and also dynamic arrays of normal data types and other records , it is n example of a record type Type1=record x:integer; end; Type2=record Y:array of X; str:string; end; When I tried to save one of variables of these records type to file with blockwrite function like this : var Temp1:Type2; begin setlength(temp1.y,100); blockwrite(MyFile,Temp1,sizeOf(Temp1); it just wrote as much as the size of pure record is ,but temp1 has a dynmic arrays which is resized , Could someone please tell me how I can write a complex record to a file , I mean something like what is used in VB6 . • Transforming a TXT file in a list, getting wrong

  I have a txt plain file that has a list of numbers. One number per line, like: 978-972-722-649-8 978-972-722-646-7 978-972-722-627-6 978-972-722-625-2 978-972-722-594-1 etc. This list is on a file called file.txt, was created and saved on TextEdit using Western (ISO Latin 1) encoding. Now I am trying to use Applescript to read this file and transform it on a list. I have this script set myDirectory to path to desktop folder as string set myFile to myDirectory & "file.txt" try set open_file to ¬ open for access file myFile without write permission set myList to read open_file using delimiter return close access open_file on error try close access file open_file end try end try after running this script, myList contains just ONE item and this item is "97" (I suppose that is the first two numbers of the first entry). • RSpec: in-depth differences between before(:all) and before(:each)

  Ok, so I've ran into a very strange issue, directly connected with before blocks. I'm doing a integration testing via Watir and RSpec. For a simple test to check if user can perform a login I'm creating a 'user' record in the db by means of factory_girl. So I put the following code: before(:each) do @user = Factory(:user) end if "should perform a login" do # do stuff end In do stuff I call a browser and see how the user tries to login. Unfortunately, somehow he cannot do that — "Username isn't valid". After some investigation I discovered that if I put the code for creating user in before(:all) block, everything magically works. How's that? What's the difference between :all and :each in this context? Also, If I put the code for creating user actually in the test body, it still doesn't work (i.e. user somehow isn't added to the DB or something).

• Rails routes looking for show action

  I am pretty new to rails and basically I want to make a user registration form. I am currently using rails 3.2.3 Basically I want to make basic routes like user/register on top of basic REST route for user. • Sum up values in SQL once all values are available

  I have events flowing into a MySQL database and I need to group and sum the events to transactions and store away into another table. That is determined by the event with the code e (b for the beginning, e for the end and i for varying amount of intermediates). Being a novice in SQL, how could I implement the requirement for the existance of the end code before the summing?

• VB.NET Use WebRequest to check if URI is valid

  Looking for the best way to determine if a URI exists in VB.NET without downloading the actual content. System.IO.FileExists/My.Computer.FileSystem.FileExists can be used locally to determine if a file exists, is there an equivalent for the Web? Currently I am using a HttpWebRequest to check URI existance using the ResponseStream. This populates the stream if the target does exist and throws an exception if it doesn't. The function is being expanded to also check for PDF files (typically 5MB +), images, etc and it will be a waste of time/bandwidth to actually populate the content into a stream. In the case of "Success" (the target does exist) I do not wish to download the file or page, simply to end up with a Boolean which indicates the whether something exists at the end of this URI.
