    I recently worked on a project to create a custom content folio renderer in WebCenter Content. It needed to output the native files in the folio along with a manifest file in HTML format which would list the contents of the folio along with any designated metadata and a relative link to the file within the download.  This way a person could hand someone the folio download and it would be a self-contained package with all of the content and a single file to display the information on the contents.  The default Zip rendition of the folio will output the web-viewable version of the file with an HDA formatted file for each one.   • Daemon for moving files between partitions?

    I have a system with Ubuntu installed in 20GB and windows in 100 GB, two partitions - each of 100GB using NTFS. While using DC++ (multiple downloading of big file) I used to get message that system is running out of memory. Is there any way to make a deamon which will be checking the Ubuntu partition so that if its used space goes up to a certain amount (let's say 18 GB) it will automatically start a moving file from this drive to another drive (let's assume it will pick the file from movie folder or largest media file from this drive to move)? Or it prompt to ask from user which file to move? Is there any program which can do this for me? If not, can you suggest something to read so that I could make it?

  • From the Coalface - 2 - Work as hard as you can to be as lazy as you can

    On one project, the standard build involved building the database from scratch producing a build log that was about 100,000 lines long.  Manually paging throught this log took hours and it was very easy to miss any errors. The solution was to write a filter that read the log file and output a summary file with each output line pepended with the line number in the original file. Sucessive iterations eliminated more noise lines. Diagnostic displays required escaping. The final output was just a few hundred lines long and the errors were easy to spot. The filter program took less time to to write than one manual pass reading the log file.  The utility digested the log file in about 1 second. Now database build errors could be identified quickly instead of after hours of manual examination or lengthy system testing. A few minutes consideration of the task led to a tremendous improvement in quality.

  • C++ linkage error . What am I doing wrong ? [migrated]

    So, this is the first time I actually separated a single program into a header and two .cpp files . But I think I am getting an linkage error . Heres how the directory looks . (heres a link to my image I dont have enough rep to post image in the question) http://i.stack.imgur.com/sbT4V.png The main.cpp is my main source file where all the calling functions and other important stuff goes . In functions.cpp I have all my functions , in the coordin.h file I have the function prototypes and structures and Constants . Everything is ok no typo nothing I have checked everything . But I am getting an undefined reference to function error. I have included the coordin.h file too . Do you think the functions.cpp file needs to go somewhere else I mean is the compiler not looking inside that file ? Thanks !

  • BIND no longer responds to AXFR Requests

    Recently we moved our primary external DNS server. It has three caching DNS slaves in front of it provided by our ISP. They've told us they've started getting access denied requests when doing zone transfers (AXFR). If I add in my own IPs to the allow-transfer list, I also get a transfer failed when using dig with the AXFR argument.     As the title goes , I have class named GetException.java,inside it ,I read a xml file in a static code block like(Because this document is shared): static{ ... document = db.parse(new File(System.getProperty("user.dir")+"/src/exception/ExceptionCode.xml")); ... } To test if the file path is correct, I write a main function just inside GetException.java, it proves that the path is correct ,xml file can be read successfully. My project root dir is "/home/wuchang/workspace/MongodbI". But When this Class is loaded from other class,such as I called one of its static functions , it reports the error message: /home/mrs/??/eclipse/src/exception/ExceptionCode.xml (No such file or directory) /home/mrs/??/eclipse/ is actually my eclipse installation directory.So , I wander how System.getProperty("user.dir") returned the eclipse installation directory to me ,instead of my project root directory?

  • Does GPG allow encryption of multiple files using a wild card like *filename*? [on hold]

    I am trying to automate the encryption of files on a windows server using a .bat file I created. As long as the filename is hardcoded in the .bat file this works. I want to encrypt numerous files using this .bat file but files are not encrypted when I use wildcards in the filename like filename.txt. I've been trying various version of the following command at the DOS prompt to no avail. All attempts have returned syntax for usage. C:\gpg -v --batch -- yes --always-trust -e -r <encryption-key> *part-of-the-file-name* usage: gpg [options] --encrypt [filename] I received the same usage message with this command: C:\gpg -v --batch -- yes --always-trust -e -r --encrypt part-of-the-file-name I tried without the -v and some of the other options and I still received the same message. I have spent hours today searching the internet for an answer and I can't find one anywhere? Please help.

  • IntellIJ editor doesn't appear

    I updated my IntellIJ install to the latest version (11.1.4) and now the Editor window doesn't appear. Double-clicking on the file, jump-to-source, nothing happens. No error message, it just doesn't appear. If I double-click on an xml layout file the preview window works, but no Editor window. Have installed and reinstalled; went back to an earlier version and it doesn't work there either. I'm at a loss. Any ideas? Update: Editor works if I create a new project.   • Make clients to download InstallShield PreRequisites from Internet

I want to let clients to donwload .Net Framework and Sync Framework directly from the Internet so that our installer is small. But I cant see a way to this.   • Last time the contact was modified

    Hey, is there a way to find out the last time a contact was modified? I can't seem to find a variable for it. The reason I'm asking is because I'd like to do a sync of the contacts to my web server and I don't feel like checking for each contact with a HTTP request if it needs updating. So I was thinking to check the date of the last update to the date of the last sync.

    I'd like to script p4 a little. Unfortunately, some of the filenames that we're tracking have "@" in the filename. The filenames are in the form [email protected]. If I try to do something like p4 sync a\@b.xml on a mac (or p4 sync [email protected] on windows) it gives the error: Invalid changelist/client/label/date '@b.xml' Is there another way to escape it that perforce will recognize?

    I have a web application running on LAMP with a testing server and a production server. Is there a standard practice for keeping the data on the testing server in sync with the production server? The data on the testing server gets out of date pretty quick and I feel like there must be an easier way than just dumping the production server and copying it onto the testing server every so often. It's not important that the data is in total sync, just that the testing server represents the production enviornment as accurately as possible.

    Currently I am using Microsoft Sync Framework to synchronize databases. I need to gather information per record which is inserted/updated/deleted by Microsoft Sync Framework and do something with this information. The sync speed can go over 50.000 records per minute. So that means my additional code need to be very lightweight otherwise it will be a huge performance penalty. Microsoft Sync Framework raises an SyncProgress event for each record.     I have a lovely ancient ergonomic keyboard (no name SK - 6000) connected via a DIN-ps/2 adapter to a ps/2-usb adapter to my docking station. After Grub it stops working. It takes either suspending and waking up or replugging it while Linux is running to get it to work. No extra kernel modules get loaded for this. When it works and I restart without power off, it will work immediately.   • Reading php generated XML in flash?

    Here is part 1 of our problem (Loading a dynamically generated XML file as PHP in Flash). Now we were able to get Flash to read the XML file, but we can only see the Flash render correctly when tested(test movie) from the actual Flash program. However, when we upload our files online to preview the Flash does not render correctly, missing some vital information(thumbnails, titles, video etc..).   • Unexpected result in .NET 4 DirectoryInfo.EnumerateFiles(string)

    It seems that the following code is not working as expected. I would assume that the following call to EnumarateFiles would only return files that match the filename pattern of c* ... however, filenames with H* are still getting returned. For example... the following file will get deleted in the following code (HNNN09060900932.xml). What's the issue?
