  I seem to be unable to use :order_by for more than one column at a time. For example, I have a "Show" model with date and attending columns. On memory warning i close and open database again, I have set cache size to 50 as mentioned in some posts here, and tried putting query into statement - same result.. it just garbles mamory and app quits after 300 inserts on iphone or somewhere around 900 inserts on iPad... Any help would be appreciated..

• mySQL Trigger works after console insert, but not after script insert.

  Hello, I have a strange wird problem with a trigger: I set up a trigger for update other tables after an insert in a table. If i make an insert from mysql console, all works fine, but if i do inserts from external python script, trigger does nothing, as you can see bellow. When i insert from console, works fine, but insert THE SAME DATA from python script, doesn't works, i try changing the Definer to 'user'@'%' and 'root'@'%' but stills doing nothing. Any idea of what van be wrong? • ODBC: when is the best time to create my database?

  I have a windows program which generates PGP forms which will be filled in later. Those PHP forms will populate a database. It looks very much like MySql, but I can't be certain, so let's call it ODBC. And, yes, it does have to be a windows program. There will also be PHP forms which query the database - examine which tables and fields it contains and then generates forms which can be used to search the database (e.g, it finds a table with fields "employee_name", etc and generates a form which lets you search based on employee name. Let's call that design time and run time. At design time, some manager or IT guy or similar gets to define the nature of the database and at runtime 1) a worker fills in the form daily and 2) management can extract reports. Here's my question: given that the database is defined at "design time" (and populated at run time), where and how is best to do so? 1 I could use an ODBC interface from the windows program, but I am having difficulty finding something good to work with Delphi. Things like ADO and firebird tend to expect you to already have a database and allow you to manipulate it, but I can find no code example of how to create a database and some tables, so ... 2 I could used DOS commands from Delphi in my windows program. I just tried and got a response to MySql --version, but am not sure if MySql etc are more interactive. That is, can I use a script file or a very long stacked command with semicolons and returns separating? e.g 'CREATE DATABASE db; CREATE TABLE t1;' 3) Since the best way to work with databases seems to be PHP, perhaps my windows program could spit out a PHP page which would, when run in a browser, create the database. I have tried to make this as uncomplicated as I can, but please feel free to ask questions. It may be that there are several valid ways, but there is probably one 'better' solution in terms of ease of implementation or maintenance. Better scratch option 3. What if the user later wants to come back and have the windows program change the input form? It needs to update the database too.

  Hello all, I've been assigned the task to design a temporary customer tracking system in MS Access 2007 (sheeeesh!). The tables and relationships have all been setup successfully. But I'm running into a minor problem while trying to design the data entry form for one table... Here's a bit of explanation first. The screen contains 3 dropdown boxes (apart from other fields). 1st dropdown The first dropdown (cboMarket) represents the Market lets users select between 2 options: Domestic International Since the first dropdown contains only 2 items I didn't bother making a table for it. I added them as pre-defined list items. 2nd dropdown Once the user makes a selection in this one, the second dropdown (cboLeadCategory) loads up a list of Lead Categories, namely, Fairs & Exhibitions, Agents, Press Ads, Online Ads etc. Different sets of lead categories are utilized for the 2 markets. Hence this box is dependent on the 1st one. Structure of the bound table, named Lead_Cateogries for the 2nd combo is: ID Autonumber Lead_Type TEXT <- actually a list that takes up Domestic or International Lead_Category_Name TEXT 3rd dropdown And based on the choice of category in the 2nd one, the third one (cboLeadSource) is supposed to display a pre-defined set of lead sources belonging to the particular category. Table is named Lead_Sources and the structure is: ID Autonumber Lead_Category NUMBER <- related to ID of Lead Categories table Lead_Source TEXT When I make the selection in the 1st dropdown, the AfterUpdate event of the combo is called, which instructs the 2nd dropdown to load contents: Private Sub cboMarket_AfterUpdate() Me![cboLead_Category].Requery End Sub The Row Source of the 2nd combo contains a query: SELECT Lead_Categories.ID, Lead_Categories.Lead_Category_Name FROM Lead_Categories WHERE Lead_Categories.Lead_Type=[cboMarket] ORDER BY Lead_Categories.Lead_Category_Name; The AfterUpdate event of 2nd combo is: Private Sub cboLeadCategory_AfterUpdate() Me![cboLeadSource].Requery End Sub The Row Source of 3rd combo contains: SELECT Leads_Sources.ID, Leads_Sources.Lead_Source FROM Leads_Sources WHERE [Lead_Sources].[Lead_Category]=[Lead_Categories].[ID] ORDER BY Leads_Sources.Lead_Source; Problem When I select Market type from cboMarket, the 2nd combo cboLeadCategory loads up the appropriate Categories without a hitch. When I enter anything into this prompt (valid or invalid data), I get yet another prompt: Why is this happening? Why isn't the 3rd box loading the source names as desired.   We are developing an inventory tracking system. Basically we've got an order table in which orders are placed. When an order is payed, the status changes from 0 to 1. This table has multiple children in another table order_items. This is the main structure. This is the structure. What we are looking for is a way to sum each article size from stock_items, then sum each article size from order_items where Order.status = 1 and substract both these items to find our current inventory. Unfortunately after executing that goBackToMain method it goes back to this method and continue to return continueOrExit. Is there anyway to make it truly exit without returning anything? I've tried putting in multiple returns to no avail. Or can I in the html page pass some javascript to directly call this method so that I don't have to go through this delegate method? • How to auto-generate early bound properties for Entity specific (ie Local) Option Set text values?

  After spending a year working with the Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk namespace, I just discovered yesterday the Entity.FormattedValues property contains the text value for Entity specific (ie Local) Option Set texts. The reason I didn't discover it before, is there is no early bound method of getting the value. i.e. entity.new_myOptionSet is of type OptionSetValue which only contains the int value. You have to call entity.FormattedValues["new_myoptionset"] to get the string text value of the OptionSetValue. Therefore, I'd like to get the crmsrvcutil to auto-generate a text property for local option sets. i.e. Along with Entity.new_myOptionSet being generated as it currently does, Entity.new_myOptionSetText would be generated as well. I've looked into the Microsoft.Crm.Services.Utility.ICodeGenerationService, but that looks like it is mostly for specifying what CodeGenerationType something should be... Is there a way supported way using CrmServiceUtil to add these properties, or am I better off writing a custom app that I can run that can generate these properties as a partial class to the auto-generated ones? Edit - Example of the code that I would like to be generated Currently, whenever I need to access the text value of a OptionSetValue, I use this code: var textValue = OptionSetCache.GetText(service, entity, e => e.New_MyOptionSet); The option set cache will use the entity.LogicalName, and the property expression to determine the name of the option set that I'm asking for. It will then query the SDK using the RetrieveAttriubteRequest, to get a list of the option set int and text values, which it then caches so it doesn't have to hit CRM again. It then looks up the int value of the New_MyOptionSet of the entity and cross references it with the cached list, to get the text value of the OptionSet. Instead of doing all of that, I can just do this (assuming that the entity has been retrieved from the server, and not just populated client side): var textValue = entity.FormattedValues["new_myoptionset"]; but the "new_myoptionset" is no longer early bound.   I have a RetrieveBlob.aspx that gets some query string variables and returns an asset. Eeach url corresponds to a unique asset. In the RetrieveBlob.aspx a Cache Profile is set. In Web.Config the profile looks like (under system.web tag): <caching> <outputCache enableOutputCache="true" /> <outputCacheSettings> <outputCacheProfiles> <add duration="14800" enabled="true" varyByParam="*" name="AssetCacheProfile" /> </outputCacheProfiles> </outputCacheSettings> </caching> Ok, this works fine. When I put a breakpoint in the code behind of RetrieveBlob.aspx, it gets triggered the first time, and all the other times not. Clearly LINQ is likely to be slower for a query that does a simalar operation, but I care allot about speed here so any advice would be appreciated. • Unable to use getInt() but able to use getString() for a sqlite database

  I am using a cursor to access a sqlite database I have in my app. I am having trouble using the .getInt() on my database. My database is pre-created, and I have a few cursors that perform queries to interface with the information. Several of the columns in one of the tables are set as INTEGER type. I realize that sqlite has no built in check to make sure columns are indeed INT. However, when retrieving the data, I can use the .getString() function without any issues, but calling .getInt() causes the app to crash. Below is the relevant code. • dojo dgrid tree, subrows in wrong position

  I have a dgrid, working with tree column plugin. Every time that the user click on the tree, I call the server, catch the subrows(json) and bind it. But when it happens, these subrows are show in wrong position, like the image bellow. The most strange is when I change the pagination, after go back to first page, the subrows stay on the correct place. • body onload cache not clearing

  I'm using an image swapping function generated by Dreamweaver to allow an image to change when moused over. The images are small. I have a problem because the images are getting stored in cache and without clearing it out I cant get the new images to show. It works on some browsers, but unfortunately not on all... I've read about putting "a random query" into the javascript to force the page to reload, but I dont know where to put it (the code was generated for me by dreamweaver). • Entity Framework: An object with the same key already exists in the objectstatemanager

  I see that this question has been asked a lot, however I haven't found anything yet that solves the problem I'm having. Obviously i'm using the Entity Framework to perform an update to a record. Once the updates are complete, however, whenever I try to save I get the following error message: An object with the same key already exists in the objectstatemanager At first I was passing in a collection object from the view that contained a copy of the the ZipCodeTerritory model object zipToUpdate. I changed the code by pulling this object out and just sending in the relevant fields instead. However, I'm still getting the same error. What's also weird is the first time I run this code, it works fine. Any attempt after that I get the error. • Why is the page still caching even after the no-cache headers have been sent?

  I've done a ton of research on this and have asked many people with help and still no success. Here are the details... I'm involved in developing a website that pulls data from various data files, combines them in a temp .csv file, and then is graphed using a popular graphing library: dygraphs. The bulk of the website is written in PHP. The parameters that determine the data that is graphed are stored in the users session, the .csv is named after the users session and available for download, and then the .csv file is written in a script that passes it to the dygraphs object. And we've found, even with the no-cache headers sent: header("Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate"); header("Expires: Sat, 26 Jul 1997 05:00:00 GMT"); Many users experience in the middle of a session, (if enough different graphs are generated) the page displaying an older, static rendering of the page (data they had graphed earlier in the session) as if it were cached and loaded instead of getting a new request. It only gets weirder though: I've checked using developer tools in both Firefox and Chrome and both browsers are receiving the no-cache headers just fine; Even when the problem occurs if you view the page source, the source is the correct content (a table/legend is also dynamically created using php, the source shows the correct table, but what is rendered is older content); the page begins to render correctly until the graph is about to be display, and then shows the older content; the older content displays as if it were a completely static overlay--the cached graph does not have the same dynamic features (roll over data point display, zoom and pan, etc.) And it is as if the correct page were somewhere beneath it (the download button for the csv file moves depending on how large the table is. The older, static page does nothing if you click the download .csv button, but if you can manage to find the one in the page beneath it you can click and still download the .csv. The data in the .csv is correct) It is one of the strangest things I've seen in development thus far. Some other relevant facts are that all the problems I've personally experience occurred while I was using Chrome. Non of these symptoms have been reported by Firefox users. IE users have had the same problems (IE users are forced to use chrome frame). I'm at my wits end at this point. We've sent the php headers; we've tried setting the cache profile for php on IIS as "DisableCache" (or whatever); we've tried sending a random query string to the results page; we've tried all the appropriate meta tags--all with no success.

• Getting specific data from database

  I have a table called Categorie with a few columns and I'm trying to get only a few out of my database. So I've tried this: $sql = 'SELECT uppercat AS id, COUNT(uppercat) AS uppercat FROM categorie GROUP BY uppercat;'; $d = Yii::app()->db->createCommand($sql)->query(); But I find the output strange. I was trying to do an array_shift but I get an error that this isn't an array. When I do a var_dump on $d: object(CDbDataReader)[38] private '_statement' => object(PDOStatement)[37] public 'queryString' => string 'SELECT uppercat AS id, COUNT(uppercat) AS uppercat FROM categorie GROUP BY uppercat;' (length=100) private '_closed' => boolean false private '_row' => null private '_index' => int -1 private '_e' (CComponent) => null private '_m' (CComponent) => null Ok.. then I did a foreach on $d: array 'id' => string '0' (length=1) 'uppercat' => string '6' (length=1) array 'id' => string '3' (length=1) 'uppercat' => string '2' (length=1) array 'id' => string '6' (length=1) 'uppercat' => string '1' (length=1) array 'id' => string '7' (length=1) 'uppercat' => string '2' (length=1) array 'id' => string '9' (length=1) 'uppercat' => string '2' (length=1) Then why do I get the message that $d isn't an array while it contains arrays? Is there any other way on how to get some specific data out of my database and that I can then do an array_shift on them? I've also tried doing this with findAllBySql but then I can't reach my attribute for COUNT(uppercat) which is not in my model. I guess I'd have to add it to my model but I wouldn't like that because I need it just once.
