  • From a Maya scene to a WebGL animation, where to start?

    Hi, I've got some time, and I really would like to learn to get my Maya animated scenes into WebGL. I'm not sure where to start really. It would be amazing if I could make a Canvas element and place a Maya scene into it so that it's animating. Does anyone got a tutorial or some hints? PS. Answers about 3ds Max are also welcome!

In HTML page how can I tell the browser to use Flash player to play this video like youtube videos are played. Can someone tell me how to do this?   • Does the Python 3 interpreter have a JIT feature?

    I found that when I ask something more to Python, python doesn't use my machine resource at 100% and it's not really fast, it's fast if compared to many other interpreted languages, but when compared to compiled languages i think that the difference is really remarkable. It's possible to speedup things with a JIT compiler in Python 3 ? Usually a JIT compiler is the only thing that can improve performances in interpreted languages, so i'm referring to this one, if other solutions are available i would love to accept new answers.

    If more than one core on a processor is accessing the same memory address, will they thrash each other's caches or will some snooping protocol allow each to keep the data in L1-cache? I am interested in a general answer as well as answers for specific processors. How many layers of cache are invalidated? Will accessing another address within the same cache-line invalidate the entire line? What can you do to alleviate these problems?

    ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: N O) I've tried EVERYTHING, I've read through pages of answers and no-one seems to know the right one. Example,if id=4 and title='hello world',the result should be: 4/hello world But if we only have id=4,it should be: 4 Because as the regex indicates,title is optional. Two answers both misunderstood... There is no preg_match yet

In php, you can use NOW() like this: mysql_query("INSERT INTO tablename (id, value, time_created) VALUES ('{$id}', '{$value}', NOW())"); How can I do the same thing in PDO. When I bind like this, I get an error: $stmt->bindParam(':time_added', NOW(), PDO::PARAM_STR); Is it the PDO:PARAM_STR?

    Hi, I would like to copy colors between elements in the interface builder or define them using RGB values. I.e. copy the background color of a button to another button without duplicating the button. Or: Enter an exact RGB code using the interface builder. Would it be possible for the admins of the site to change the links we post in our answers to have their target as _blank. It is quite hard when it is _self as we look at those urls in correlation with what the post is about so I wouldn't want it to replace the post.

    Is there a way to set the cursor at the end in a TEXTAREA tag? I'm using Firefox 3.6 and I don't need it to work in IE or Chrome. JavaScript is ok but it seems all the related answers in here use onfocus() event, which seems to be useless because when user clicks on anywhere within textarea, Firefox sets cursor position to there. I have a long text to display in a textarea so that it displays the last portion (making it easier to add something at the end).

    These questions are a kind of game, and I did not find the solution for them. It is possible to write ::: in Cpp without using "" or anything like this and the compiler will accept it. (macro-s are prohibited too) And the same is true for C# too, but in C#, you have to write ???. I think Cpp will use the :: scope operator and C# will use '? :' , but I do not know the answers to them. Any idea?

    Hi, I am writing an Android app, part of which will be a survey involving multiple pages of checkbox question and answers. I have created an activity to display the question and options (from the DB) and what I want to do now is when i press the "Next" button it should just reload the current activity with the next question set from the database. (the activity starts with survey.getNextQuestion() - so its just a case of refreshing the activity so it updates) Im sure this is a simple thing to do -any ideas? Thanks
