  Hello everyone, At the moment i'm making an application where it is possible to make profiles with different settings. Which datatypes would you recommend me saving these information in? I have a table which is showing the profile name and the version number. But for each profile there need to be stored more information. Therefore the idea i'm working on have 2 arrays. 1 for all the profile information and 1 who is being made when loading the information. The second array is the one going to be showed in the table. Because the table doesnt show all the stored information. .. but this seems kinda stupid. Is there a more suitable method for saving the information in like 1 array, and just pass part of the data to the tableview?

• Iframe no scrollbar?

  I cant seem to show the scrollbar in my iframe. I am making a script that will rotate a page 180 degrees and it uses iframes. • Set AUTO_INCREMENT value programmatically

  So this works... ALTER TABLE variation AUTO_INCREMENT = 10; But I want to do this; ALTER TABLE variation AUTO_INCREMENT = (SELECT MAX(id)+1 FROM old_db.varaition); but that doesnt work, and neither does; SELECT MAX(id)+1 INTO @old_auto_inc FROM old_db.variation ALTER TABLE variation AUTO_INCREMENT = @old_auto_inc; So does anyone know how to do this? ( I'm trying to ensure that AUTO_INCREMENT keys dont collide between an old and a new site and need to do this automatically. So I can just run a script when the new db goes live )

• HTML chrome:// page with select box, onChange failing

  I have a html page. It is chrome://. I have a select box. Giving it the oncommand attribute won't work. So I have to use onchange however you have the typical problem with onchange where it doesnt work if user uses the keyboard arrows, or letters of items to change things. Is there anyway to attach onCommand to my select box? I want to avoid to use onkeyup as then i have to to validation to see if it really changed (which would require me saving previous values).

• Visual studio 2010 doesn't make the changes when i do a build/compile

  Ok so i change some code, re-build it and then, say for arguments sake i had a print statement outputting 'test2', well if i change it to 'test3' its still re-producing the old code 'test2'. Ive deleted the debug folder and rebuilt but no good. Then randomly about 10 builds later it will catch up. Ive also closed VS2010 and then re-opened the project but that doesnt help. What can i do as i need to see the changes asap? ps it's definitely the correct file

  I'm trying to extract the # of minutes from a text field using Oracle's REGEXP_SUBSTR() function. Data: Treatment of PC7, PT1 on left. 15 min. 15 minutes. 15 minutes 15 mins. 15 mins 15 min. 15 min 15min 15 In each case, I'm hoping to extract the '15' part of the string. Attempts: \d+ gets all of the numeric values, including the '7' and '1', which is undesirable. (\d)+(?=\ ?min) get the '15' from all rows except the last. (?((\d)+(?=\ ?min))((\d)+(?=\ ?min))|\d+), an if-else statement, doesnt' match anything. What is wrong with my if-else statement?

  I'm using c++ Qt library and I want to do something which would do : connect(actionB11, SIGNAL(triggered()), this, SLOT(SetSomething(1, 1))); connect(actionB12, SIGNAL(triggered()), this, SLOT(SetSomething(1, 2))); connect(actionB21, SIGNAL(triggered()), this, SLOT(SetSomething(2, 1))); connect(actionB22, SIGNAL(triggered()), this, SLOT(SetSomething(2, 2))); The code above doesnt work because SIGNAL function has to have same number and argument types as SLOT function. Does exist a way how to do it? I dont want to have about 20 function as SetSomething11, SetSomething12 calling SetSomething(1, 1) etc.

Lets say you have an image of a a few trees in say jpg format. How would you go about finding the heights of each of these trees. The photo is the only input you have. • (database) im trying to create a form in access 2007 with 2 drop down boxes to view a report by state or name

  im an intern at a database mngmt company and the boss is training me in access...i took the access tutorials and were definitely not enough info involved to do a what seems a simple task.my problem is this: i have a simple table with contact info with 16 colums (Local_Utility, Requested_User_Type, First_Name, Last_Name, Address 1, Address 2, Country, State, City, Zip, Phone_Number, Username\Email, Password, Confirm Password, and Parcel_Number), with 6 rows of names (keep in mind this is just a test to help me from the boss) I created a form and with 2 drop down boxes (Last Name and State) and im trying to create a view button to view an individual report for a query i made for just simple contact info with 6 colums (Last_Name, First_Name, Address1, City, State, and Phone_Number) Problem1 is that i can view the query with the view by name or state button but cant view a simple individual report from the query using the button Problem2 is that for criteria on the query i put Forms!frmMyparamForm!txtMyStateParamField for the state drop box it works, but when i use Forms!frmMyparamForm!txtMyNameParamField it doesnt and that annoying parameter box pops up Problem3 is that after i close the query, all the states and names in my dropdown box on the form disappear Im a beginner at this please help me

• C# matching two text files, case sensitive issue

  What i have is two files, sourcecolumns.txt and destcolumns.txt. What i need to do is compare source to dest and if the text doesnt match write out to a new file. • How can i get my htaccess to work (subdomains)?

  I'm sorta a noob at these things but I'm trying to make a simple virtual subdomain with .htaccess. When I travel to wiki.khpedia.com/index.php, it travels to wiki.khpedia.com/wiki/index.php. I am somehow also able to access wiki.khpedia.com/test. If it doesnt seem obvious yet, I want to be able to go to wiki.khpedia.com/index.php and see wiki.khpedia.com/wiki/index.php but not in my address bar.   I have a php script which takes a relative pathname via $_GET, reads that file and creates a thumbnail of it. I dont want the user to be able to read any file from the server. Only files from a certain directory should be allowed, otherwiese the script should exit(). Here is my folder structure: files/ <-- all files from this folder are public my_stuff/ <-- this is the folder of my script that reads the files My script is accessed via mydomain.com/my_stuff/script.php?pathname=files/some.jpg. What should not be allowed e. g.: mydomain.com/my_stuff/script.php?pathname=files/../db_login.php So, here is the relevant part of the script in my_stuff folder: ... $pathname = $_GET['pathname']; $pathname = realpath('../' . $_GET['pathname']); if(strpos($pathname, '/files/') === false) exit('Error'); ... I am not really sure about that approach, doesnt seem too safe for me. Anyone with a better idea?

  I'm building a client for an api that uses http digest access authentication for authentication. I have studied the rfc to know the setup the required response headers and this works well on my emulator. • ie8 fadein with transparent png not working

I saw few jquery plugins that resize the textarea but is there any solution with which I can resize parent div too? There is no need for live resizing, resizing just once when page is loaded is preferred as the data is already populated in it. Thank You.

I have the following log file, and i want to parse it and find the errors and then compare them to user expected results and if it doesnt match then error or else pass.... the part that i am having trouble with is finding error within the log.... • Qt QMainWindow at Close

  Hey, this may seem like a very simple question, but I want to dump some data whenever the QMainWindow closes, so I used the following piece of code: QObject::connect(MainWindow.centralwidget, SIGNAL(destroyed()), this, SLOT(close())); but this doesnt seem to make it call close(). Am I doing this wrong? Isnt the centralwidget suppose to be destroyed? Or perhaps the application closes before close() can be called? Any other ways of doing it then? Thanks in advance!

• .NET prerequisites, 3.5sp1 but no 3.5? problem with 4.0?

  The title is confusing but the problem is not so much. I made a prerequisite with the default 3.5sp1 and windows installer 3.1. I ran it in my VM and to my surprise it asked me to install .NET. I checked the version and i have .NET 2 sp1, 3 sp1, 3.5, and two variants of 4.0 (client and extended beta). I looked in prerequisites and there doesnt seem to be an options for a non 3.5sp1. Is there some way i can select the non sp1? or compile so i dont need sp1? (it crashes upon startup but i am willing to bet i forgot a resource file)

  I have: include ('functions.php'); check_blocked(); echo $blocked; in functions.php, check_blocked(); exists. Inside check_blocked I got: global $blocked; $blocked = '1234'; I want to echo $blocked variable, that are inside check_blocked(). It doesnt work, no output.. This is an example of my original problem, so please dont say that I could just have the echo inside the function, as I cannot have in my original code.

  In my regex expression, I was trying to match a password between 8 and 16 character, with at least 2 of each of the following: lowercase letters, capital letters, and digits. In my expression I have: ^((?=.*\d)(?=.*[a-z])(?=.*[A-Z])(?=.*\d)(?=.*[a-z])(?=.*[A-Z]).{8,16})$ But I don't understand why it wouldn't work like this: ^((?=\d)(?=[a-z])(?=[A-Z])(?=\d)(?=[a-z])(?=[A-Z]){8,16})$ Doesnt ".*" just meant "zero or more of any character"? So why would I need that if I'm just checking for specific conditions? And why did I need the period before the curly braces defining the limit of the password? And one more thing, I don't understand what it means to "not consume any of the string" in reference to "?=".

• The curious case of SOA Human tasks' automatic completion

  A large south-Asian insurance industry customer using Oracle BPM and SOA ran into this. I have survived this ordeal previously myself but didnt think to blog it then. However, it seems like a good idea to share this knowledge with this reader community and so here goes.. Symptom: A human task (in a SOA/BPEL/BPM process) completes automatically while it should have been assigned to a proper user.There are no stack traces, no related exceptions in the logs. Why: The product is designed to treat human tasks that don't have assignees as one that is eligible for completion. And hence no warning/error messages are recorded in the logs. Usecase variant: A variant of this usecase, where an assignee doesnt exist in the repository is treated as a recoverable error. One can find this in the 'pending recovery' instances in EM and reactivate the task by changing the assignees in the bpm workspace as a process owner /administrator. But back to the usecase when tasks get completed automatically... When: This happens when the users/groups assigned to a task are 'empty' or null. This has been seen only on tasks whose assignees are derived from an assignment expression - ie at runtime an XPath is used to determine who to assign the task to. (This should not happen if task assignees are populated via swim-lane roles.) How to detect this in EM For instances that are auto-completed thus, one will notice in the Audit Trail of such instances, that the 'outcome' of the task is empty. The 'acquired by' element will also show as empty/null. Enabling the oracle.soa.services.workflow.* logger in em should print more verbose messages about this. How to fix this The application code needs two fixes: input to HT: The XSLT/XPath used  to set the task 'assignee' and the process itself should be enhanced to handle nulls better. For eg: if no-data-found, set assignees to alternate value, force default assignees etc. output from HT: Additionally, in the application code, check that the 'outcome' of the HT is not-null. If null, route the task to be performed again after setting the assignee correctly. Beginning PS4FP, one should be able to use 'grab' to route back to the task to fire again. Hope this helps.

• Why is a fully transparent pixel still rendered?

  I am trying to make a pixel shader that achieves an effect similar to this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1uZvurrhig&feature=related My basic idea is render the scene to a temp render target then Render the previously rendered image with a slight fade on to another temp render target Draw the current scene on top of that Draw the results on to a render target that persists between draws Draw the results on to the screen But I am having problems with the fading portion. If I have my pixel shader return a color with its A component set to 0, shouldn't that basically amount to drawing nothing? (Assuming that sprite batch blend mode is set to AlphaBlend) To test this I have my pixel shader return a transparent red color. Instead of nothing being drawn, it draws a partially transparent red box.
